While I prefer the Marvel Universe overall, DC has some of my most favorite books out there. Guys. Do you realise the Marvel Forum has almost four times the responses and threads. DC fans unite! Let's talk comics. Original U., Wildstorm, Vertigo, anything!

Lot of good books out there:

Birds of Prey
The Legion
JSA
Hellblazer

and that's just a few. Let's go!

Would that be next to the X-babies in the Mojoverse? Why is DC still being held hostage for things that happened in the fifties? My all purpose retort still holds as well (and I'm a Marvel fan), "Speedball". There was no excuse for that, and I loved everything else Ditko did.

Please! Let's judge every book from every publisher on it's own merits.

Hellblazer alone is one of the five most important books ever published.

DC I am currently reading are:

JSA
JLA
Hawkman
Batman
Teen Titans
Outsiders

There's some great minis going right now, such as Millar's Superman: Red Son, Matt Wagner's Trinity series, and Waid's Superman: Birthright.

Couple this with Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Jeph Loeb all recently signing exclusive with DC, this is a great time to be a DC fan!

You HAVE to pick up the last 3 or so issues if nothing else.

That and the others up there are very good as well.

Just got into Flash, and Terman8er is right, it is simply outstanding right now. Geoff Johns has to be the most consitstantly good comics writer this side of Alan Moore. I love his run on the Avengers, but I'll likely drop it as soon as he's off.

I am just the opposite, I am waiting until he leaves so I can start buying the title again.

As far as DC, I am currently reading Batman and Birds of Prey. Trying to get into JLA.

I am reading Batman.

When Jim Lee goes to Superman, I'll be reading that.

A friend of mine gets Nightwing monthly, and I read it, of course, but that means i don't have to purchase it.

Could someone tell me why Flash is worth picking up? Maybe a synopsis of the overall plot of the last couple of issues.

My reason for never buying flash is this...

I judge this book by its covers, which are a crime against art.
And his villians. Come on, felonious rollerskating chicks with gigantic afros? I'm looking DESPERATELY for a reason to try this book. But things like his rogues gallery being a bunch of wankers that guys like Batman or even speedy wouldn't tolerate in their cities running rampant.

Control of the speed force? Why doesn't he just take speed altogether from his enemies and put them in stasis until he ties them up?

Any help here, please!

I really love the latest DC expansion and I feel that the uniques in this set were the best so far.

In future expansions I'd like to see Jonah Hex, John Constantine, The Unknown Solder, Captain Marvel, The Ray, and L-Ron in his midget form.

I'm a big Vertigo fan and have been for years.
I'm also a fairly big Grant Morrison junkie, and alot of his work has hit DC/Vertigo.
Hellblazer is also on my top 5 list and I'm still waiting for my Mystics John Constantine fig.
For Vertigo I read
(Or read in some cases)
Transmetropolitan
Filth
The Invisibles
Swamp Thing
Blood & Water
and anything else that looks good.
I love Authority and Planetary(Please come off the mountain and finish writing it Warren, Please?)

Regular DC hasn't done as much for me in recent years, though the entire Batman family of books has been good lately.
I read the first issue of the New Teen Titans, and it looks like it's going to be pretty good.
Outsiders Is sweet! I've loved every page I've read so far, I like just about everyone on the team from days past, and It's written extremely well for a random team book.

So yea, don't worry there are still a few DC fans around.
