A while ago another person who shall remain nameless ~cough~ ontapmedia ~cough~ started a thread regarding San Diego Comic Con 2003. A lot of stuff transpired through that particular thread and with it the creation of

California Cup

The date: Oct. 18th, 2003
The place: Goleta Valley Community Center
The time: TBA
The contest: Southern California vs. Northern California for the title of the best region in CA (of course we know the South will rise and win :laugh: )

Event format revealed soon, but it’ll mainly be N vs. S for the California Cup

With that, let the smack talkin’ begin and keep this thread viewed on your list so that you can see everything that happens because we will be making announcements of where you can call for a hotel/motel reservation, the cost, the events and the ever popular smack talkin’ between us.

The Community center itself has vending machines, however right across the street and off to the right (if your back is to the center) there's a Wendys. Also, right up the street (on the same block) is another Burger joint The Hamburger Habit. If you go to the left and walk to I think the next block there's a Sizzlers . . .

Also, if you want to drive a little bit there's a Taco Bell down the street, then if you go on the other side of freeway (driving again) there's more places, KCF, El Pollo Loco, Supermarket . . . Quiznos . . . Some Chinese food place . . . and Carrows.

As for the dinner itself after it's all said and done I was thinking of the Outback or something along those lines for a bigger "enjoyment" for us all . . . of course there's always Dennys for those people that eat a lot. :p

this past weekend at dc worlds, in the second round of the six round qualifier two titans collided....

the don of the oc clan faced the capo of the san jose krew!

now i won't go into details, only to say i won. i won't say that i beat his ###, because i happen to like wrich and enjoyed spending time with him this past weekend. I won't say i broke all his figures when i won and made him my #####, because i have to much respect for the guy. what i will say is this...he is a really good player who happenned to lose to billy z in the second round of the dc worlds.


oh, and to the rest of you san jose jokers, don't worry. i will be bringing my fellowship trophy with me to santa barbara in october. so when i kick your ### you can kiss mine...and my trophy. peace.

GUYS!

1) I had a Rookie Starfire, not a vet or exp.
2) As I recall, Billy also had Saturn Girl and a LexCorp Battlesuit, which gave him more hitters than it would seem.
3) He knew how to play his team, and made the most of it.
4) Billy had some poor rolls, but I had disasterous missing of four (4) break away rolls, any one could have one the game for me. We both had one or two great rolls as well. (Knocking Nightwing off a building.....)
5) Billy later had the SAME bad luck in a game he should have won, with SIX missed break away rolls.

He is a very good player, and so is Patrick (4th in the DC worlds).

BTW, if you havn't guessed, he is baiting all of you, so he can live down his Mr. Nice Guy image. He is, in the end, a good guy.

And I think that ALL of us would do better to not suggest the insertion of trophies into our various holes......or even visualize such an event.

This is going to be fun, and the main thing everyone needs to remember is that almost all of us will end up being friends after this.....but, I would guess not as close as some would seem to suggest.

Cat, don't get your hopes up! Last I heard RR can't play his way out of a wet paper bag. In fact the real story is most of the players up there throw their games with him because he is, umm, well, SLOW! They don't want to hurt his feelings. I guess his 5year old mentality is hard for his mom and dad to deal with at the local venues! The medication he is on causes loose BM's and if he gets upset he looses control. It isn't a pretty site! So if you play him just make up impossible numbers and throw the dice and say oh I critical missed, take your damage and loose quickly so he doesn't cry and Shiite himself. We'll throw something his way that will make him feel like he won! it will all work out in the end.

I'm sure if your good, then the new rules won't bother you at all . . . you'll adapt like a borg . . . and then you'll be better for it because you didn't let something like a new rule or game play effect you to much!

Not that you have a need to know, but if I can make it I will. As it stands right now I will be there. My work had some stuff for me to do and I wasn't going to be in the country, but that has been put on hold indefinitely for the now. If it is a go then I will be doing what I am told to do and not kicking your butt in a dice game but kicking butt elsewhere. On the side If you want a pair of boots just ask me. no need to think it is a bribe or such, more like trading if you know how to trade! As for what I am doing for the whole Cal Cup thing. I have been in contact with Wizkids trying to recruit prize support for the attendees, but how can I put my name on something and vouch for an event if I am being told by some that it may be canceled because NO Northern Cal participation. I am an Honorable man with Integrity, commitment and plenty of courage and commitment. I will pay my $10 even if I don't go as I said above. Now let the record stand that I have done as much for your honor as I can. Pay your money and go have a great time. I will be happy to show you how to play hero Clix if I can be there. I think smack talk is great! Keep it coming. It is a very good form of motivation for the unmotivated and Lazy! True players will make an effort to show up and support such an awesome undertaking. Loud mouth braggarts will whine and complain and not show up nor will they do anything at all but complain. I am sure you have paid and many of your cohorts that traveled to Comic Con have too! At least in "theory" right! LOL!

Hey 1138. nothing personal but I don't know you. Or at least I don't remember you if I do. I hope you have fun at the Cup and I wish you good fortune. I am a bit aggravated that all the supporters of the event are not going to show. As muffinlad said, They will or they won't. In this case it is a big deal because so few have forked over so much. 10 bucks off your budget isn't a big deal but others have put fourth much more.

Also, as for the bickering I don't mind a little "level stooping" but lets remember that this is a game and this is going to be a lot of fun! Everyone should have a blast and if theres someone that you want to avoid and not talk to or play with that's fine.

Well, if you're really serious, I'll help you out on that. It's quite simple.

Quite a few people have continued to insult, lie about, and insinuate stuff about SJ players and judges. You continue to do so. And then you wonder why a lot of them are not interested in showing up? Do you really need it spelled out for you? Are you that dense?

And if we were to sink to your level, we'd have spen the last couple of months posting non stop about how So Cal players are ####py players who whine when they don't win and must resort to false claims of cheating in order to save face. But we didn't (other then the irrational JayofTitan, I'll give you that). One, we don't think that. Two, if we did, we'd have the decency to not run around shouting it to anyone and everyone we could.

Honestly, I'm still going to this thing out of my previous commitment. But I've been sorely tempted to not go, and even leave my good friends like Wrich ahnging out to dry just because I'm sick of listening to the patently immature ramblings of guys like you. What exactly is my incentive?

I enjoy this game. I (and the SJ players/juedges) enjoyed ourselves at Comic Con. We made a lot of new friends and had a fun time with a lot of people there. Wheels was practically deified by a lot of the kids there (they probably recognized someone on their own maturity level). I met some great guys like Chuck, Eldridge, etc. I've moved on. Maybe it's time you did too?

Hey Cap: though I'm perfectly willing to play by and adapt to the new rules, I still don't like them. I don't think any SJ people do and I know Billy doesn't either. I'd like to be able to play at least some old rules games down there. I'm not sure what the plan is, but I just wanted to mention it.

P.S. I didn't mention you but I think that was because we never got much of a chance to get to know each other since every time we played it was against each other and one of us was on the receiving end of a beatdown (sometimes me, somtimes you). Not exaclty conducive to getting friendly. :)

Personally the only rule that I don't like is the NAAT which a lot of people don't like and I've been harping on WizKids tails about for about a week now sending them emails almost every day.

What games did we play in? Can you tell me a little about them because I don't remember them and I would like to so that I can try to remember you as well.

And again as for the rules, well they will hopefully listen to the countless emails that were sending out to them and hopefully they'll listen to the masses instead of do what they want and perhaps ruin a GREAT game . . . but this isn't the thread for that. Well, I have long black hair in a pony tail and wear black rimmed glasses. The one game I remember really was the one where you kept saying "You will miss." evey time I rolled for an attack. You said it a bunch and then apologized after the game.

As for the new rules, I agree that NAAT is the big glaring one. I can't figure out why they would keep the rules from the judges for so long, and then when anybody went up to them at a con, they said the rule change was flyers can't carry flyers. When NAAT was the big one. It slws the game down and encourages turtling.

While I don't think it's too harsh since it doesn't affect too many characters, I also don't like the flyers can't carry flyers. I would rather have seen something that disallowed taxiing after being taxied.

Other than that, I just don't like a lot of the little things. Pulsewave is kind of odd. Why does Blizrd do damage to Superman by hitting everything in site and none when he just straight up shoots Superman? And single target Pulse Wave is still silly in theory and fairly powerful now. I'd rather they just have made Pulse Wave hit Stealth people and gotten rid of single target. I don't lke the new PC. I don't like the new Support. If I wanted Mage Knight 2.0 and Mechwarrior rules, I'd go play those games.

There are some things I do like. I like the new Impervious.

Wow, I go away from posting for a while and everything goes crazy...

First up, to 1138 and all the Northern contigency that came to Comic-Con. Don't take the "Storyboard" personal. I don't hold any ill-will towards a single Northern player but the story line on the whole event just seems to work so well. Somebody has to be the good guys and somebody has to be the bad. Since I am writing the story, you know the South is going to be the heroes (at least for now) and the North the villians. Just have some fun with it. If I knew more of you, I could better incorporate additional plots into the story line. If anyone wants to give some input to future chapters (like character analysis, things happening in the North, secret meetings, players, etc) feel free to send it to me and I will see how it might fit it into a chapter. There will be at least 3 more chapters before the CalCup and hopefully several after the event.

To MrD & MLad, thanks for keeping the posts going.

To the "heavy" trash talkers....tone it down a bit!!!! I like a good conflict as well as the next guy but resorting to demeaning name calling just doesn't fit the spirit of good competition, nor does it represent your region in a favorable light. Trash talk, boost, brag, or challenge all you want; but try to keep it on the lighter side for the sake of all and the integrity of the event.

We want to encourage people to participate. Hoping that when it is all said and done that everyone will have had a great time.

The delegates representing the North and the South are working diligent to put on a quality event. If you are on the fence about attending, jump off and get on board. The event will happen and I hate to see any of you miss out!!! (If you are not there I can't get you in the storyboard!!!)

Ask the same question about LA, and you're (note spelling, you're = you are, not your = possessive form of you - so much for that SoCal education system) going to get smog.

I've obviously been preoccupied. But now my two cents are to be entered.

I am currently working on the Art for the storyboards on CaptAmerica44's site.

I really wish I knew who most of you were and are as far as what you look like. Instead I'm mostly drawing generic thugs and goons in your place.

But like Cap says... it's really just our fun way of promoting the concept behind the con and what brought us to this point.

I have come to think of the overall situation at the cons as not really cheating but also not playing on a leveled playing field.

I as many others obviously played in Battle Royales thinking it was a last man standing every man for himself event. those who played in Philly were hip to the team ups and felt it was just.

So someone like me felt blindsided.

I was the one who opened his mouth and the proverbial Pandora's Box on the original thread. Yes I felt that the main essence of what a "Battle Royale" had been compromised. That's just my opinion.

I've come around though and I truly believe that this event will be a great event for all who participate. I would like to know who is and who isn't registered at this point I read somewhere that 27 people are already confirmed.

I paid my $10 today and I know RD has been publicizing it at our San Diego Venues.

Word to Beyonder and other players who feel they'd be letting us down because they don't feel solid about their skills just yet.

Seriously get your butt to this event. I will not be let down. I am a good player but I am by no means a great player. I think RD is a great player. I think Billy and Patrick are great players. I think DartGannon is a great player ... But even I have had my opportunities to play and beat RD and Dart on a good day. I don't say that as a slam against them but as a word of encouragement to other players. No matter your level luck is still a part of the game and I can fairly say I probably won those games mostly due to a good presence of Luck on my side.

You only get better by playing better Competitors. More then that the relationships that we probably form during this event will be lasting ones once you return back to your respective region and hopefully the venues there.

(Just don't let Billy/Foil stick his trophy in your anal orifice.)

About these relationships forming:
((I also don't expect to be skipping through any flower meadows with any other players who attend but I like that when I go to events I know a handful of the players and look forward to go aginst or playing alongside them. I used to dread playing RD and Shane because they totally wiped the floor with me. Now they just moderately drag my sorry asp around the room.))

Game Empire in San Diego is a great Venue if you live in the SD area. 21st Century Comics is a fine venue in Orange County. Between these two locations you will meet the bulk of the Posters from SoCal.

Despite all the trash talking we love to see more players of any level because it keeps the game fresher and more alive then a new set of figures. New players can play the game in a new way and introduce new strategy and tatics just as well as any new set of 96 new figures can.

Most of us if not all are glad to see new players and will go out of our way to try to make you feel comfortable and expand your knowledge as best as we can about the game.

So by all means do not shy away from this event due to a lack of confidence. come for the Experience, Come for the Fun. Come for the sheer reason of supporting your region and having a great ole' time.

Well the tournament will be held at a date that the new rules are in effect so that would be the most obvious answer. Especially if Wizkids will be supporting the event it would have to be according to their rules. (At least I would think the event would have to comply.)

In any case New rules or Old rules should not matter all that much if players have a decent grasp of the game and are willing to play and show their mastery of the game despite one set of rules or another.

Am I right? It's debatable but my point is I don't care I simply want to play. For the sake of playing.

With no due respect ontap, the game has completely changed with the new rules. You can have a grasp and mastery of the game under either set of rules but you have to acknowledge the fact that it is altogether a different game depending on which set of rules are used.

As for the "obvious answer," the new rules will have been in effect for exactly three days. Granted, I know the new rules well, all sjc players know and will know the rules well, but it is a different game than when we started this grudge match. If you don't see that fact because you just want to play based upon your "innate talent and mastery," you should really consider practicing harder. You're in for a big surprise come October.

Like I said, I'll be there to play regardless and won't say one word about it, win or lose. I just think this should have had a little more debate with the players of the Cal Cup.

From my personal experience, the old rules allowed players to be aggressive without any drawbacks. The new rules promote turtling and if a player is aggressive, they leave themselves exposed for a brutal counter-attack. NAAT sucks!!! We used to ALWAYS finish games before the 50 min time limit and now I'm seeing games where barely ANYTHING is killed in the alotted time. What kind of crock is this??? Hope you guys are ready for my barrier barrier barrier team...:rolleyes:

But a question has come to mind regarding the Grudge Match.

How would the new rules favor anyone in the Barrier closes in every turn if you can only carry a figure who has not committed an action?

Therefore forcing you to move but not acting and eliminating turtling almost completely.

Not to mention Flyers can not carry flyers.

So now in a very serious request can someone tell me how unless you pull someone with running shot that this would favor turtlers?

On a different note .... I am planning to be in SB Friday night and and would love to hangout Cat. I'm up for whatever a club or playing. The T-man can drink though so be warned.

So let me know after my statement about Grudge match/ new rules and how it "supposedly" favor anyone especially turtlers.

By the way I couldn't disagree more with the statement that turtlers are given an advantage with the new rules in general. My point of view having played at least 30 games under the new rules would be that the starting person who plays agressively is favored.

I am a long time user of flying sniper teams and have been crushed by CaptainAmerica when trying to use that strategy within the new rules.

My whole gaming strat has been altered and I think it's the changes that most of you hate. Change is good because it means you'll have to learn some new techniques.

So I urge you to give it a chance and I don't mean 1-2 games. Play it out till you begin to see the opportunities for new types of teams.

Well It's the 8th and I have not even begun to really dedicate any time to team building for this big event.

Shame on me. Has anyone played the Indy Clix set yet. I played two tournament over the weekend both mixed and really liked the value they added to the mixed games. Don't know what my opinion is on a straight Indy event would be.

I also have not read any forums about Indy but wanted to say some figures seem a bit silly like the Tiger Lily who has two guns but has no range. What gives.

I don't read many of the Indy Titles but enjoyed the dept I feel they add to the overall game. Especially the susper sense figures.

Top Cow team ability means I can move and still atatck in the same turn correct?

All of this would have been clear had I just gone to Game Empire this past Monday but work has been a big priority this last couple of weeks.

So to Shane aka DartGannon do we have a Departure time yet? As I said I am available as early as Friday morning. I would not mind beating the rush hour commutes but respect that other can't quite cut out on their jobs as easily as me.

To any and all San Diego folk I would love to get some practice in and I know CaptAmerica is probably already setting some practice sessions up. So the more the merrier.

North won 17,000 points to 11,000 points for the South.

However, BillyZ and Patrick Y took best duo. They were 1-1 with the O'Brien Brothers, but they won in the play offs, and that is when it mattered.

The real winner seemed to be R.D., because that guy did an awesome, flip out and chop of your head, job!

R.D. deserves the award for "Best Show-----Ever". Very well done with the prize support and professional appearence.

North won on points, but south won on "Those in attendence", as they had over 2x the players the North fielded.

Next year, we may want to have an A, AA, and AAA team divison.

Also, Darth-Tanion and Dr. Briefcase (Galth) won the Unification tourney, edging out TazRap and Ontapmedia for the top North/South team in the constructed events.

RD did a great job as always and continued being an excellent ambassador to the game.

I hope Wizkids takes notice of this event and what I feel was a pretty amazing accomplishment from an independently ran and organized event. Wizkids involvement could have only made it better but it's absense was barely noticable in that the spirit of it's events and fans were still in full effect.

The delegates were awesome and all was well.

Tazrap was held back by a dopey mistake on my part early in our game against Shane and Dr. Briefcase. Being from the east coast originally Im made one move that was the equilvalent of the Red Sox Buckner Blunder during the 86' World Series.

Sorry Taz. My fault completely.

Though I will take pleasure in having devastated RD's Mandarin with my new favorite INDY Unique "Siamese".
I am only gloating cause I never get luck like this against RD so I will gloat while I can because he will surely trounce me the next time we play I am sure. Or Will he?!? :)

"I still think the North stinks and that they are poster children for the old rule abuses."- Why, Terrance.......thank you. It warms the cockles of my heart to know that after the butt woopin' you took, you still have some fight left in ya (g).

I have no doubt that this battle will need to be fought again. After all, the North players showed up late, no teams built, and half of them had been out associating with loose women until 3pm and the other half had driven from San Jose at 4am in the morning.....and they still managed an overall score that was 50% greater than the south.

One of the reasons I am suggesting we break it down into player ranked divisions is that the format did help the North more than the South (but not to the tune of 50%).

Patrick and Billy, while deserving the Team win did not dominate the tourney (they had one loss, and several close calls), but their consistancy of play, their willingness to help one another (which the North didn't start doing until late in the game, another mistake for the North) and their ability to take defeat and marshal a comeback win made them the Dynamic Duo, and they earned it. They will be the team to beat for our next little get together.

BTW, and every Northern Player I spoke to feels the same way......they are both EXCELENT PLAYERS.

If I tell them to go out the door and take an immediate left they forget that part and end up in the parking lot so I don't bother and tell them to go the other way. This way they have no chance of getting lost . . . unless I tell them the parking lot then we can see the above reference.

As for the tournament I was pleased with the way it went. Everything went smoothly with only 1 major disgression and I am not going to point fingers since I wasn't there anywho.

Seth told me yesterday when we got together that after we all left and the only people that were still there were the Northern people again not pointing any fingers and the 2 Southern people don't recall which 2 though that they left all their garbage (where they were sitting) on the floor/table and Seth had to clean all that up.

For future events PLEASE everyone after you finish eating/drinking whatever it is, just take your trash to the can and dispose of it. Don't leave it for someone else to clean up.

As for the tables and chairs, that was fine, I was told by the people that it was okay to leave them as they were and that they would clean them up.

And for everything else, I am glad to see everyone show up and the people that I don't recall . . . Ken (I think that's you name . . . black guy, wearing the homeade click shirt) if you read this IM me I got some stuff to ask.

Also, Seth wanted me to thank everyone as well for attending the event and he hopes that you all had a great time.

As you know I take a licking and keep on ticking. People off that is. But like Billy? Not so much.

The divisions would be better as would more northern players.

I mean consider this. With no offense to the team I played in the second round we beat them hands down with only a rookie Bane on RD's team falling. That team was not the same caliber of say Jay and Allen.

We were elevated to take on Jay and Mola Ram. Honestly my team never stood a chance against a green lantern, + Live wire + Saturn girl team ... i mean saturn girl and live wire were only there to copy GL TA to taxi, to taxi and to taxi. I killed myself more on just trying to get to the other roof that the team never came off and stayed grounded for a round.

Am I pissed ... alittle. Was it fair sure. yo-yoing and all is completely legal under old rules. Gee I wonder why this rule was "fixed"

The comparisson was made that the same thing could be done with Amazo and a team of perplexers and sure with Hypersonic it could be done but how many times would you want to push him.(Especially since he'd be the only real threat on the team of perplexers.) Even if you did for every time he was pushed my team could close in and finally make a difference. Instead of desperately moving inward slowly and awkwardly only be hit and then have one of the other taxi'd flying wildcards pick up the whole team and retreat round after round.

In the Amazo scenario I think the Perplexers would fall and the hypersonic could probably be outwitted. Eventually bringing it down to a team versus Amazo who would sooner or later be taken down by superior numbers.

I could be wrong and I'm sure Mola Ram will say I am. I'm not even saying this to argue or putt a bad light on SJ. I'm saying it to share an opinion.

My best bet in this game was to try to incap the flyers so they couldn't get away and even then my rolling was horrendous.

I feel I made the game easier for Ram by being a jackass and traveling to him. Although considering he seemed committed to sitting as far back as he could without being in the last 6 squares I thought I had little choice.

I got beat within the rules. Fair and Square. You can't ask me to like it.
I don't mind losing case in point the game versus Shane and Dr. Briefcase. I screwed up and placed Firelord incorrectly. I could have won that game perhaps if not for 1 square of inappropriate and poorly planned placement.

For that I had my butt handed to me and justly. I am only sorry I cost Tazrap the game with my mistake.

Life goes on. There will hopefully be a next time and I will do my best to not taste bitter defeat. or take directions from Cat ever again.

#### beating Shane would have been fun. It's been done before but it never loses it's sweetness.

Even if I'm told I am simply lucky that time.

Friday Night:
My story/ I thought we were going to check out a pretty cool bar with at least some eye candy.
Cat's Story/ He thought all that mattered was cheap drink and minimal cover.

Final product: We lost the northern guys with the exception of the one we transported. Then we get to the deadest bar which granted had 2 for 1 drinks. Then he takes a few of the northerners to a strip club and loses them in a parking lot.

How do you lose someone in two seperate parking lots without trying to do so?

Saturday: Me and Cheng excuse me Cheng and I get up bright and early to take Cat's direction to IHOP for breakfast. "Drive past the turnpike..." We drive past it and then RD tells us it may be a few miles down the road. So we keep driving till we get to the street we were told we would make a left and find IHOP.

No dice. Critical Miss on this situation. RD puts Cat on the horn and tells us drive back get on the yurnpike and go three exits till we see it on the left. (amazingly this panned out)

What is it with this guy and parking lots. What bizarre weakness does he have that gets people baffled bamboozled and bewildered in Parking lots.

Late Saturday night: Dinner

We actually made it to Outback thoug we almost got lost in the parking lot .... I am not kidding about this. I may have stumbled upon a reason for this trend. Apparently me and Cheng were the only people observing the "Do Not Enter" signs posted in many of the parking lots entrances and exits.

Cat tells me it's an hour and half wait for a table which seems pretty long but considering that we were coming withn 20+ people .... it's all relative.

We stand there for like a half hour or more as more people begin showing up. I finally decide to hit the bar because this waiting outside was just pointless and boring.

Cat tells us as more people arrive that he never put our name in because he was waiting on everyone else. Grrrrrrr!!!! meaning all that time we were waiting was not against the original expected hour and a half.

"DOH!!!!"

As it turned out some people could not wait around so we hit the China City Restaurant across the Do Not Enter Parking Lot.

Home of the Admantium Rice. I always wondered what eating my legos would have felt like. Now I will wonder no more. Thnaks Cat :)

And remember the Club wasn't my idea its what Wrich wanted . . . I was about to go to the Wildcat, but he said cheap entry fee and cheap drinks since they were going to the other place afterwards . . . well that's why I went there then.

As for the food, again, that was the Northern Peoples idea . . . I would've been happy if the three of us ate at Outback or all of us ate there . . . I was trying to make it efficent for the people that were driving back that night.

That was a lot of fun. Glad I got the chance to go. Also proud to say one of the 2 teams I lost to was Billy and Patrick. Patrick will attest to the fact that I had no chance the way my rolls were going though. [Or at least he better... ;) ] Not to say that I might not have lost otherwise, obviously, just that it would've been a much more even match. I'd love to get a rematch next time around either in some tournament setting or just for fun on the side. [we played in the DC round just in case you don't know who this is]

Speaking of next time... Next time you guys have to drive up closer to here! And we'll kick your butts under the new rules during the next event too. Hehe. ;)

Also, before I go, "Willy," ;) Fuzzy was right in that I was making a bit of fun... But even taking that into account I never said they could move and attack without it costing an action, man. I just said there WAS a way for members of the Top Cow team to move and attack in the same action. :p

Hey Ontap,

Just for the record, why the heck would I ever come off the building with my team when you ran your team to the middle of the map? I had no reason to run to your side of the board. If you don't think I would make an aggressive play in a game (note: I'm not saying you said this), ask Patrick if I ran up to attack him in our last game. Granted, I ran back almost to the starting area after attacking, but hey, that's how you build a team! :)

The new rules are still overkill against this type of team. Like I said a simple rule, fliers can't move after being taxied rule would fix this. Let them attack or do otherwise, just no movement after being carried. I.E. No double taxi, yo-yo stuff.

Anyway, I had a good time and hope we can all play again. Gencon is in December in Anaheim so maybe we'll all see each other there. Also, I'll be at wizardworld texas, guess I'll have to actually learn those indyclix dials, Sydney Savage is a beast! :p


By the way, is it me or does san jose rulez not have enough penalty marks? :)
