Hi, I am a big Spider-man fan and would like to complete my run of Amazing Spider-man Vol 1 (The one that started in 1962).
I have about 5 issues that are earlier than issue #15 that I'd like to get - but those are expensive. I stopped collecting about 10 years ago and, except for those early five issues, I had a complete run going! I also Stopped Web of Spider-man and Spectacular Spider-man (also complete runs) at that same time.
I have tons of comics to trade.
I know this isn't a trading section, and has nothing to do with Clix, but I thought I'd put the word out.
If anyone knows of a Comic book site like this one that I could trade or buy comics with other people, I'd be really jazzed to hear about it!

Also would trade Clix of course. Not that I have many rares, but I have a lot of extras.

:cheeky: Just to clarify, I would like to get all the comics I need from when I quit, up to the end of the series.
Just so you know Ramplate as of next month Amazing is going back to the old numbering so unless you start collecting again you will not get a complete set. And just so you know next month's number will be 500

www.mycomicshop.com is a great place.
Also I think I have one or two extra SPidey comics if you are interested in trading.

Back to the old numbering system...well, that's confusing. Is that kind of like Coke Classic??:p
I looked on that site, and from the looks of the covers, the last one I remember is #366.
So that's not too bad I guess.
I also need the old Marvel Team-ups as I was collecting those too.
Thanks for the info guys.

www.samruby.com is the best site on the net on Spidey. He sells some as well.

Have you checked ebay? The pricing is usually OK especially if the books are CGC graded. Or, see if a big Comic Book convention is coming close to where you live. Just do a Google search for comic book conventions. When I went to Wizard World in Chicago last year they had just about everything you could want. Good luck

Thanks again, I have seen that samruby site, but I lost track of where it was. That is a good one.
I used to go to plenty of Conventions, but there aren't any big ones where I live.
Yes, I've searched eBay lots of times, but usually seem to get out bid (or find things I need when I don't have enough cash on hand).
I like the idea of the standardized CGC grading and think I'd like to send my comics to them for appraisal. The only problem with buying a sealed comic is that you have to unseal it to read it. And they do re-seal comics at a fairly good price, but you have to send it away again and that seems like a pain.
I like to read every comic once....Made me nervous when I was reading my copy of Amazing Spider-man #1 -- I paid $2,000.00 for it.
(Cover price .12 cents and now my copy lists at around $18,000.00 according to the last price guide I looked at.)
I plan to sell them on eBay when about when I turn 50.

I agree that Comics are meant to be read, and with that in mind the CGC is a burden, but it probably is the best thing out there when buying a book you can not put your hands on. Luckily, I don't own any worth enough to even think about using CGC. Good Luck.

Yeah, all in all CGC does guarantee a standard accuracy and I would have to say that, without a lot of photo documentation of the quality of the books, they are probably the only ones I would buy through the mail -- At least for those comics before 1975.

Yeah, Secret Wars #8 made me start collecting at the age of 25, that and the Hobgoblin story line.
I walked into the new comic book shop in town, having dug through a big box from the attic.
I found I still had a copy of Issues
129 (the first Punisher),
124 (the Death of Gwen Stacy)
89 and 90 (the Death of Captain Stacy)
and 96 the first Spidey comic with no comics code seal of approval (drug related story)
I also had a copy of Marvel Team-up #1 with no cover - I didn't treat all my comics very well when I was 12.
Now they're all in bags and have backing boards.
SuicycoSlade, yes I am very interested in some of those. I am currently in the hospital and not near my collection though. I hope to contact you about them when I get out in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for listing them.

Will do, and thanks. I'm here due to non-comic book related infections and wounds ;) :p . I have diabetes and just let it go too long before getting help.

Just thought I'd let you all know they're kicking me out of the hospital Friday the 19th. (tomorrow)
I will then hopefully be able to list the Spidey issues I am in need of, and get in touch with those of you who have contacted me about available comic books.

I have around 2500 comic books. Most of these are Spiderman. If you let me know what you need, I will let you know if I have them.
