View Full Version : How appealing is Fatality E/V with the new NAAT rules?

Look at her dial! 8 range, full of RCE, TK, Barrier, Incap, Super Senses. With the new NAAT rules, TK is going to allow figures to be moved and also attack in the same turn. Not only does she have TK, but she is a great offensive attack piece. Anyone else think this is a steal at only 68 and 92 points?

She should be solid in DC-only games.
However, the Exp seems to be the best value since a rookie GL can provide the TK ability for less points than the Vet Fatality. Rookie Cosmic Boy is cheapest, though, at 45 points.
Of course, the Vet Fatality can provide more offensive firepower than GL. It will all depend on how the remainder of the team is focused.

In a new-rules game last week, she kicked all kinds of butt.
That was the V.

I love the Vetran...she keeps that four damage from range for like five clix...barrier later on and TK for a very long time...she is a force in the new rules.

I see E Fatality popping up in DC only and in Villian Only (DC or Mixed) games. She's a pretty solid piece, she's just always been overshadowed because of her cost. Now as being the cheapest TK figure to actually do some real damage, and have a decent chance of not taking any. I think she'll start making an appearance. Since after her job is done, she's not a 30-some odd point lump just sitting there waiting to die.

NAAT (No Action After Taxi'ing) You cannot give your character an action after taxi'ing him.
I really like E-Fatality for her cost. I haven't used the V yet because I consider it a bit too high priced over the E. Still, the V has a lot to offer.

I think that she is a good figure but Green Lantern is the better choice he has phasing, GL team, (JL team), and a better variety of powers
the only real use I see for her is in No team games
I really like pairing her up with E or V Cheetah in DC only games. Getting the extra distance with charge can make a really big difference sometimes.
When Cosmic Justice came out I looked at her dial and thought: ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, this is a good piece... very versatile...and her attack value drops slooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwlllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.:)

I use her in alot of my teams. Mainly as a medic protector, and if someone is hurt, TK him out onto the field to have the medic heal. Fliers have become my favorite pieces to use mainly because after TK'ing the medic out there to use support on a Flier, they can pick him up and run away. This team I've used has gone undefeated in tournament play.
Exp Fatality 64 (TK, Sup Sen, RCE, Barrier, 8 range)
Exp Wonder Woman 107 (Charge, Sup Str, Imp, CCE, JLA)
Vet EC Medic 19 (Support, Police TA)
Exp Deathstroke 50 (Outwit, EE, Willpower, Regen, and Stealth)
LE Atom (JLA, Perplex, stealth, and 20 def.)
I place a heavy object on the field 10 squares out and TK Wonder Woman out after the opponent has moved out his heavy hitter. I then bring Deathstroke up to outwit and defensive powers, and seeing the Batman Aff has nothing to stop brutal damage, I worry not. Before TK out, WW damage is perplexed up to a 4. With a heavy, she will do 6 clicks of natural damage. Next round I push and TK atom out on the field to block LOS for wonder woman. He is Dc's best shield...ever! She will either push and kill the opponent doing 5 clicks with CCE hopfeully killing them. It is just a really fun team to play.

Good God, that's a nasty combo! Gives me some serious food for thought for my next Build-your-own-DC team.
On another note, since someone brought it up, perhaps someone could answer this question for me: With the new NAAT rules, it says you may only do "Free Actions" with the recently taxied character. Just what, precisely, constitutes a Free Action? I assume it doesn't mean a free movement action, like from JLA team ability....

You've got me. I am still foggy over the new rules.

Outwit, Perplex, etc. I always think of it as anything that doesn't give the fig a token once the action is done.

Thanks for the clarification.
