Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet is akin to a God. He is off the charts powerful. THERE WILL BE NO CLIX OF THIS MADE. These guys have a grasp of continuity.

Now, that being said it really does look like him, and will be rediculous if it is him. Just totally spits on the Unique Thanos.

I'm leaning towards the Living Laser argument here. The only thing is that he's not on a flight stand. Those are the only two I think it could be.

It could still be Living Laser even without a flight base. When LL first started out he only had laser guns. Then he had the lasers actually grafted to his body by Count Nefaria or Baron Zemo or somebody. When his body absorbed too much laser energy he became an actual living laser. If he is done right he should be like Blizzard for his first two versions, just a thug with some advanced weaponry but by the vet he should have HSS and RCE out the butt. We'll see.

In a `Batman enemy' theme game penguin can be alright, a whole bunch of figures (many with perplex) sharing attack values, whats wrong with that? Sure Penguin's the weakset of them, but still he's a farly cheap leadership within the theme.

Oh and, I agree with everyone's theories about who the characters are on the box. I think Wizkids have layered multiple images in place.

And does no one agree with me that having Patch with claws out sucks, since wolvie as patch seldom used his claws! (he'd better not start with B/C/F!)

You can "bounce" Bullseye's AV off other wildcards like Doombots. Also you can heal Cyc. once with the taxi, damaging the taxi and giving the taxi a token leaving them both open. I prefer cyclops my self. His rookie is playable unlike Bullseye whos only worth it at vet. Teaming up Cyc with vet Jean Grey is awesome cause of her support on the first click, push Cyclops than heal with Jean. if Jean gets hurt Xmen heal her to the first click then heal the guy who Xmen-ed her to full! Xmen need a full healer and more PC, outwit, perplex. Longshot where are you?!?!?:eek:

To anyone who as actually held the flyer and took a good look: I believe that the 2nd down on the left is the reaper. If you take a good look you can see two horns and what looks like a scythe for a hand. Another reason to support this idea: If anyone has picked up the recent marvel previews you will see a picture for JLA/Avengers that prominantely shows Reaper kicking all the members of the JLA and Avengers arses. If you look at this picture and then look at the box figure they are very similar.

After xamining the poster very cafrefully, these are my 2cents.

Top left: no clue, but iot's not Thanos. everything aout the fig is wron (which I thought it was from the enhanced pic. It seems like a leg sticking out, as it matches the other 'leg' and both seem to have boots. Also, the arm has a gauntlet which doesn't look like it could be Mysterio's, the head doesn't look like a dome. It also looks as though it has a snout of some sort. never saw Ult. Rhino so I have no clue if it matches up. It IS an exp. REV, and it certainly has a Synister Syndicate team symbol. It seems unlikely to me that there would be an Ultimate REV, however - not enough history to sustain 3 figs.

middle left: a yellow REV that looks a LOT like Diablo.

middle right: No question that it's a Mar-Vell, also looks like a unique.

and I wonder if that's Gargoyle's head and not Daredevil's coming out of the box - he also has tiny horns and would fit in nicely with Angel and (crosses fingers in hope) Sub-Mariner(PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!) as a Defender. I say this because it almost looks as though there are wing tips across the side of the head, which would fit for Gargoyle. Course why would they advert a Gargoyle head on the box? It probably is Dartedevil, but I can wish, can't I?;p

I can't see it as Gargoyle. As much as I would rather have a Gargoyld figure than another Daredevil, the "face" is far too human-looking. Gargoyle was usually depicted as more monstrous in appearance. I hope I'm wrong. The last figure I want to see right now (aside from another Elektra) is another Daredevil. I agree that the only thing that would make him the least bit palatable is in his original yellow costume. Preferably as a Unique so I probably won't pull him anyway.

Heres My Take:

I have a HUGE monitor at my office and I can make out some details, but I needed to see the poster for clarity confirmation. As I can tell there are 6 figs potentially revealed by the box side. I am going to start with the two most obvious. If you can not clearly make these out you need to get some better source material.

First the bottom left is cleary spidey leaping over the red brick wall second the circle at the bottom right which I could not distinguish to clearly until I saw the poster is definitely Wolverine "Patch" with a human hand holding the fig.

Now for the rest and why I speculate:


TL: Im not real sure, but what I can say is the colors. Top is a redish-orange maybe a cowl, helmet, or something, The main body color is a blueish-purple with a yellow belt of some sort. The most distinguishing characteristics are orange shoulder pads with at least two spikes on the left shoulder. The left hand looks like maybe and amplified gauntlet. My heart wants it to be Gladitor, but as far as I know these color dont match any Marvel charcter that I would be familiar with. Also it is quite possible this guy flies.

TR: Definitely Synister Syndicate. It could be some aberation of Rhino although it is definitely not the classic Rhino. If so the knees look double jointed. The Mysterio guess seems very reasonable. I will check the poster again. But if I had to place a large bet at this juncture it would be on Mysterio.

ML: Not too clear, but I could distinguish a helmet-horn shape based on a 120 degree angle <. The color was black and I could almost make out a white patch sort of on the eye. I had to go back to my old comics to figure out the puzzle. I knew I recognized him, but wasn't too sure until I got a good look at a Marvel Villian site. I am now confident this is the Grim Reaper (even though) I can not make out the sickle at all.

MR: This is definitely Captain Marvell which explains the red beam out of the box as far as I am concerned.

BL: Leapin Spidey

BR: Patch

As far as the DD/Gargoyle Head I don't see it. Not for a second. Are they talking about spidey hand or that little piece of cardboard box flying out from the laser

On the left edge of the box, just next to the word 'critical', there is the silhouette of a demon-y head pushing out of the box.

Darkdevil... from the spider-girl comics. Similar to Daredevil but some sort of Zombie or something

Daredevil Classic, Yellow and Red, a weaker-playable Daredevil.

Armored Daredevil, When Daredevil went to Grey and Red... a Daredevil with Toughness, not bad.

Movie Daredevil, please Jesus no!

Thanx I see that now. It does look like a DD when blown up. The crazy thing is the strecthing box below the DD (would be DD's mouth) almost looks like a distorted armored mask with eye slits kind of like Gladiator or Iron Man.

Firelord was the third herald of Galactus after the Surfer and Gabriel, the airwalker. I don't remember them fighting ever, although just about all heroes tend to fight when they first meet before realizing their mistake and making up.

Don't remember him ever being a bad guy but I'd love someone to point out when this happened.

2) Firelord became a herald to avenge what he believed was Airwalker's wrongful death as a result of SS renouncing his heraldship. Firelord wanted the knowledge and the power cosmic to exact his revenge. He teamed up with Eros under the pretense of another mission, then he caught up with SS, stole his 'just becoming a girlfriend' (Nova), and fought him repeatedly. In the end, however, after fighting and bickering, they parted ways fairly amicably (ie: they don't hate each other).

(this is all from hazy memory of nearly 10 yrs. worth of late eighties and early nineties comics - correct me if I made a mistake or three)

As for those pictures on the side of the box, there is a larger size poster in the Diamond Dateline (Diamond comic Dists weekly sales flyer) this week. It looks like Spider-man, Captain Mar-vell (Unique), Diablo, Dormammu (Unique) i can't tell what the heck the other one is. I guess its a brood but i can't make heads or tails (literally) of it. Mole Man looks great. Not that the other two look bad, it's just that Mole Man is perfect. Straight out of a comic. I've been hoping we'd see him before too long. Looking forward to playing MM and his army of Moloids against the 200 point Rookie FF team. I could see him with Energy Explosion frrom his staff. Some Super senses or Mastermind to shunt damage t his Moloids. Curious to see what they do with the Moloids to make them different. I wouldn't mind if the rookie version had a basic Thug-like dial. It'd make them real cheap so you could really run a mass of them.

Top right is definitely Ultimate Rhino. It's hard to tell because it's a side view of him. Saw the poster today. That top left figure I don't know. He has a pale yellow face, orange cloak and hood, plus a blue costume. Looks a little like Hobgoblin but without the glider.

The guy to the left of Mar-vell is a guy wearing a spiked helmet. Could be Loki but then I thought his helmet was Gold and this one's grey, plus his cloak is a dark green and grey armour.

I have seen the larger version of the poster and it is Loki and the red figure looks alot like Baron Zemo but I'm not sure

Guys , your worries are over . I used my Adobe Photoshop to straighten out this allustrious side panel to get a better view . It's Definitely Loki . Well here ..... http://www.faceparty.com/heroclicker . I made a Mock-up Faceparty Profile with the doctored photo on it . Just click on it to veiw . You can see MUCH better . From what I can tell , it's Captain Marvel , Loki , Rihno , Spiderman , and the figure on the top left is still a mystery ? He looks tro me like a dark blue costume , with orange accents , and black spikes ? Anyone who can shed some light on this , please let me know . Well enjoy guys , and get back to me on your opinions ,

This may be a weird guess ... but any chance its everyone's favorite time traveling Mutant, Bishop? At first glance it looked like it could be him with a red scarf and gloves ..possibly holding guns?

Your description makes me think of Mr. Sinister ... but it doesn't look like him ...

I could see his entire face (none of it was covered) and his horns are too big to be Diablo's

I must say , I thought Dormamu at first , however think about this . Why isn't Dormamu Flying ? Dormamu would Definitely fly , so that can't be him . And , I'm not sure if it's Cable ? I could be wrong , but it would seem to me Cable would have a MUCH more impressive array of weapons at hand . I mean even the sheild Lackeys have these huge guns . The pose he's in , indicates a Villain . A Hero would Never pose like that . I could be wrong though . Keep on speculating .

That figure in the middle left has inverted knees like an animal so Loki is out, horns are actually too small to be Loki as well, looks like a devil/demon of some sort.

With the picture blown up as it is, I'm gonna have to say that that top figure is DEFINATELY Bishop, and the figure under him looks like Loki to me. :)
