As such, he starts out as someone who has more business bossing people around than being on the front lines. His Rookie version reflects a man who’s a capable combatant, but spends most of his time telling others what to do, as such he has Mastermind and Leadership. Since he’s also a trained warrior, he has Stealth and Blades/Claws/Fangs (and eventually some Incapacitate). His Experienced version is similar to his Rookie, but it represents Arashi as he’s getting back into shape to take on Shi. Finally, his Veteran version is Arashi in top fighting form. He doesn’t rely on underlings as much and poses a real threat from the start of his dial until the end. At every step of the way he’s a tough opponent with the ability to deal real damage.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Dammit, DS, you beat me to it.
Yeah, its a ninja. Just like the rest of IndyClix that isn't T&A with a sword (or the figures that cross both realms).

Speaking of stances, he looks like he's trying to insert something in a very uncomfortable place . . .
And, yet, another figure I don't want.
Hmmm...methinks all of our six sided dice are gonna be worn pretty thin when Indy comes out from all those BCF rolls.

Tatoos are cool - chics dig 'em!
This guy is totally ready to flip out!

Or maybe he got his sword stuck and is using one of those "flipping out" powers that we keep hearing about to pull it out.

Yeah, I saw that right off too. Looks like he is sticking his sword straight up his ###. The more I look at if the funnier it looks

actually i like the Venom pose. with the two figures together it reminds me of all the times Spidey would turned tail and run from Venom. Venom always was right behind Spidey from building to building. i just wanted to ruin the joke before anyone got to say it! don't worry Shin will probably make one of funny hero-lix for it.
kick @$$ preview though!

Arashi says:
"There is just the right amount of B/C/F in Indy clix...
...for me to poop on."
Yeah. More B/C/F and Incap. I can't wait.

Weeeeee. A ninja. With B/C/F. For around 50 point. I'm so...under-whelmed. Blah, I say. Blah to these silly IndyClix.

I can just see it.
"Say hello to my stinky feet attack!"
Is he just a weekend ninja? Look at the color of his hands and face, then look at his legs and feet. When I see legs that pale there's usually a pair of bermuda shorts just above them. I think I even see some liver spots...

I guess the monotony of this set shows that Wizkids was focusing on Critical Mass all along :)
"What should we do with (insert scantily clad female or capitalization of Asian craze character #43,549) ?"
"I dunno, give it B/C/F"
The vet. is 54 points and starts the dial with stealth, b/c/f, super senses and leadership. What's there to complain about?
Say what you like, but there are those of us that are more excited about Indyclix than the Marvel sets. I'm looking forward to building the team I want using the characters I enjoy (and having a nice selection of figs to choose from). Arashi is a decent character and looks to be well represented.
I still recommend playing a few games of Indy only Clix before you pass judgement on the available dials (but the same could be said for every set).

What did you say? Something about Critcal Mass............?

Yeah, I did.
I hear all the figs are going to have Phasing + Energy Explosion
Especially Venom.

I just looked at your site Shin... I think your Crit Mass pick pretty much summed up what we've all been thinking, butt were to uncomfortable to say... I guess Venom left Eddie Brock & took on Northstar as his new host... :knockedou
i think you guys are forgetting the ultimate b / c / f nullifier.
about every 2 out of three figures in this set has super senses as well.

Aw, quit crying. Yeah, lots of swords, we get it, you're cool, shut the hell up already.
I like having options. I like having asian characters to fight (among others) Batman, Wolverine, and Daredevil. Two ninjas in Explosion wasn't nearly enough for my tastes. Do what you want, but SHUT YOUR HEAD UP about the 'sameness' of the figures. Please feel free to spend your money elsewhere on other Heroclix merchandise instead; that'll show them! We wouldn't want them to do another IndyClix set, would we, you fascist Marvel Zombies? I'm sure I'm the ONLY one online who's hoping for a second set with figures that I DO want, like Mage, Miracle Man, Grendel, et. al....

Well, it looks like a good sculpt and a usable figure to me...
...ask yourself, which would you rather have, this, or (spit) the DC Fury ?

Actually, that would show them. That's the whole point of not buying something...

I like DC more than Marvel. But both more than this.
I guess it helps your point to make up stuff.

Not cranky, per se, more like just tired of the same lame jokes that got old with the second sneak peek. Some people on this message board are spending a lot of time and energy talking about how much Indyclix is going to suck...as if, you know, that's going to stop anything. The figs are done. It's coming out. It was in motion before half of the current players tried the game. So what's the point? Whatever marginal humor the B/C/F jokes generated has long since been swept under by the new jokes of how 'gay' Venom looks. Many people have already moved on to discussing how lame the Silver Surfer is. As a humor movement, Indyclix, swords, and strippers is very passe'.
Bottom line: I don't CARE what you dislike about the set. I really don't. If everyone who swore they weren't going to buy a single IndyClix figure (yeah, right, I believe that, too) would simply NOT post a reply to these sneak peeks, that would send a much more effective message, one that could be linked to what I'm SURE will be low sales, because come on, you don't like it so that must apply to everyone, right?

I'm not doing standup here, it doesn't matter what's passe.
And you seemed to care enough that you had to explode at me and Shin because of B/C/F comments.
I poke fun because I'm disappointed. I was looking foward to Indy clix. I couldn't wait for a new set. Then I found no Rising Stars, Turtles, Tick, Cerebus or other fun comics would be in it.
Then the previews come out. Everyone's the same... everyone looks like Mage Knight. Now my pre-order needs go from case to starter pack.
So I poke fun. I'm not in every Preview Thread. I'm not the sole person bashing Indy clix, so you shouldn't claim I'm the only one not buying them.
I'll get singles now and then to get some Kabuki and Hellboy most likely. I mean Stealth and B/C/F is very useful. But that doesn't mean everyone needs it.
As a set it's become so blah. Even Indy Clix supporters at this point should be saying "What the hell?" They should be more annoyed than me!
They finally get a set featuring all their favortite characters, and it's just mass-produced Blades.
I was once like you Mr. Raconteur... I get annoyed at Shin for the same reason many previews ago.

Hey, this is directed at everyone who's been posting essentiall the same thing, over and over, for six weeks. You were just the one who chose to comment on my post, so you get to be the spokesperson for the rest of them.
Think past your fan-self for a second. IndyClix can't do figures it doesn't have permission to produce. They asked a lot of companies, and many of them didn't want to play along. MacFarlane, in particular, wanted way too much money for Spawn. I suspect the Turtles went the same way, media conglomerates that they are. WizKids is working with whoever would work with them. It's nothing personal. No one was intentionally slighted.
I understand your disappointment; not everyone got what they wanted. That occasionally happens in life. Were it up to me, the IndyClix set would have looked very different. But, had they not done an IndyClix set at all, I wouldn't be able to play with Hellboy and Judge Dredd.
I still think you can do more to show your displeasure at the set by not starting slap-fights on the threads...

I like it. Indyclix will be fun. I'd post a big long thingy like Mark Finn did, but I don't care. It's not really like wizkids can do anything about it. Arashi just happens to have a sword, he and the rest of indyclix. As long as the fig is represented well theres really nothing else they can do about it.

...with Mark and Panther. Just relax. I'm a little disappointed also, but it'll pass. HEY LOOK OVER THERE! See? Now your attention is focused on CM. Get the Indy guys you want. ignore the ones you don't and LIVE A HAPPY LIFE. Its OK.

I just find it kinda funny that with ALLL the b/c/f in the set, it's all B and no C/F. I wanna see some C/F figures in the next preview! =)

Yea I also agree with mark. It's not like the figures are miss represented, most of them just happen to be Ninja's with swords. Atleast there accurately representing the characters. So i'm happy with the set, and can't wait.

I agree with you to a point, but WizKids has also said - or at least we've had a rumored implication of a story which is supposed to have come from WizKids - that they have no interest in doing "comedy" characters, so (if this is true) the company is not actually pursuing Ben Edlund for The Tick or Eastman Inc. for Ninja Turtles or so forth.
I can certainly understand Todd MacFarlane's decision not to license his characters for an "Indy" expansion. The Spawn universe is already marketed to stand on its own merits. I think that from Todd's perspective, having 5-6 characters in a Heroclix set wouldn't just be a comedown since he'd prefer a "Spawn Clix" series, it wouldn't bring anybody new to his book.
I don't know whether Todd is right, but I *do* know that in my area, people have begun to ask each other about the characters in IndyClix. I've looked over the CrossGen line, which I would never have done before Indy, and I'll certainly be buying the first Ruse TPB. Archard looks like a really interesting character. I bought Hellboy: The Right Hand of Destruction last week and enjoyed it immensely. People are asking me about 2000 AD. I hope this is happening at every comic shop, and I hope creators like Erik Larsen are watching. Wouldn't Savage Dragon be nice for the next expansion?
The thing I've actually grown weary of is the whining that there aren't any Aliens/Predator/RoboCop/Freddy Krueger figures in Indy. But if people don't understand that a comic company which has licensed a film property for a spinoff comic lacks the right to license that property to WizKids, then surely they won't understand that WizKids can't just make a Clix expansion for whatever they want without permission.
