Who's the staple character on YOUR team?

Okay...not including support characters - medics, probability controllers, outwitters - you know the one-power wonders, which figure do you find yourself most using?
-Maybe it's your favourite figure you can't play without? (Or choose NOT to.....)
-Or if point totals matter, then who makes it to the smaller (< 400) and bigger (> 400) games?

Me personally, I've always wanted to use Vision in a 300 point game....but it's just so hard to find that right combination of support for him. He's still my favourite figure for indoor maps....I don't know how good he's gonna be after Oct. 15th with the new rules, so I'm trying to play him now.
(any suggestions?) Two other figures are Nightmare and unique Spider-man (Venom costume).

As far as my favourites to use....no team I assemble is without either my Doctor Doom LE or Moondragon. Just gotta love 'em.....

Veteran Psylocke ends up on most of my teams.
Before her it was Unique Wasp.
I, too, always want to sneak Vision onto one of my teams.

For DC it used to be E Booster Gold and E Blue Beetle, but that will change with the new rules. Veteran Saturn Girl is pretty fun, as is Arthur Curry.

For DC I'd have to go with Atom. Perplex that likely won't go away because of an extremely high defense value.

For Marvel I'll go with my boy, E Dr. Strange. It took me a while to get used to him, but once it clicked he was permanent. Want most any power in the game? You got it for 71 points.

Wow....I can't remember who, but big up to that guy (on 1st page - bottom) who uses Hulk. I've never seen him in tournaments...big rumbles and scenarios sure, but not tournies.
-Spiral is awesome isn't she?!?! I hope Carnage turns out to be somewhat of a Spiral without the Battle Fury for a couple clicks...although he is a psycho maniac.
-I read sometime ago that Spawn will never be a click because Todd wanted money? (not surprising) But that really blows. I guess I'll have to stick with my custom then.....
-Will Transformers and G.I. Joe ever be clix?

Marvel: E Dr. Strange, V Daredevil (IC), V Puppetmaster, E/V Taskmaster, E/V Doombot, E Black Cat, and I always try to play some version of Spiderman.
DC: I tend to use a wider variety of DC figs, so it's tough to call any of them a staple, really. Mostly the Team Abilities become staples, so - Any Intergang piece, (including Parasite!) U Catgirl is quickly becoming a fave, OWaW, Dark Superman, Steel or U Superman, (Not kidding, U Superman). The Key used to be my staple DC piece, but I haven't used him in a long time. I like Parademon Scouts, too. But who doesn't? :)

Yes he is.

He's cheap. He's fast and a great tie-up piece. He's also a good figure for support killing and for running down an object in an object scenario. He always ends up on my Batman Enemy teams (especially the E version). Now if we could only get a Deadshot for that team...

nighwing for his outwit stealth and double incapacitate
Steel for being able to dish Close combat and ranged damage and he still is the only figure to have both of those expert powers
Deathstroke 17 def stealth range 6 and EE did I forget WILLPOWER

Ultron and klaw are both on there for the same reason, wild card and good tohit values paired no glass jaw like nightwing and great damage.
for 42 points you get free move nice defence good attack better damage.

I just got my V Human Torch and oh my gosh....he's so amazing!! (Sorry, I've only been playing for 6 months now) and prior to him, I always had the trio of Sauron, Deathbird, Moondragon, Doom LE. But with his running shot for 2 clicks (instead of 1 w/Deathbird), he's so awesome. I used him this past week in a tourny. Result? Undefeated. My strategy just changed with this guy....this was my team:

Oh yeah....can NEVER EVER play without my Doom LE.

It's in NO WAY practical, but my one character that I will always try to fit in my team, even in 300 point teams, is SILVER SURFER. even though he's 173 points and eats up most of my build total, HE'S MY BOY!! I had been waiting for WAY TOO LONG FOR HIM, and now that I have him, he's front and center.

If you couldn't tell, he's my favorite comic character. the fact that I have taken out a 400 point team with just Surfer alone doesn't hurt either. (AND NO, THERE WASN'T ANY PERPLEX ON MY TEAM TO BOOST HIM.)

Since this is a Marvel thread - I gotta go with Mystique.

As an X-Fan I've always loved the character. And X-Men 2 really reminded me of how cool she can be.

Add to it Stealthed Perplex, a decent range and attack abilities, decent cost, a very useful TA, and on top of all that a figure that can be played on both Good guy and Bad guy teams - and you have one of my faves.

As it stands, I'm always looking for ways to work gamma guys on my team. Abomination's always good - just got an LE Blonsky I want to play with. Don't be dissin' on the Leader, neither. He devises great plans.

I tend to mix it up, though. Always looking for Black Panther, but I like to use the vet so he can do some damage, too. I tend to avoid x-folks, although I like Colossus.

I made a 400 point Apocalypse team with his four horsemen, best I could approximate.

For DC I like Ataom: Nothing ties up an Exp Batman like a 20 defense.

My favorite fig without a doubt is the LE Arwyn.

I usually play mixed games and what I do is carry a Psylocke around with Booster Gold or Wasp and drop her next to wherever Arwyn ends up at the end of her Running Shot. And Arwyn can do it 2 out of 3 turns (as opposed to Ultron etc). And the Crossgen keeps her from being attacked by figs with expensive powers.
