what supplies do i need to make a map?

It all depends on how you want it to look?

Some people do theirs on a computer - so you'll need the right software.

I do mine free-hand - so I have a few rulers, a giant-sized pad of paper, pencils, markers, colored pencils, etc

Plus I went with the dot format rather then the squares (much easier when free handing it). I used 2 sheets of paper - so the finished version is about 8 inches bigger than the ones WizKids makes.

I had it laminated and I think it came out pretty good - and very usable.

Now it doesn't have the wow-ness of the computer versions - which some have looked incredibe - but I'm happy enough to begin working on an indoor map...

Somewhat, since I'm still living with my parents, I give the list to my dad, and HOPEFULLY the supplies are bought.
