We ran an Ultimate Showdown scenario yesterday. Basic concept was 300 point Marvel teams, no dues of name figures, no medics. We had about 3-4 maps side by side and the players got to chose where they set up (high die roll first). I randomly placed clix across all maps (medics, SHIELD, Hydra, Xmen, FF, Avengers, Ultron, Blastaar, Sentinels and the big guy himself).
Galactus was mostly blocking terrain, as we don't have a dial for him. Overall the game was pretty fun. Each player got points for damage done to any clix, and points for KOs. For the higher clix (Sentinels, and anyone over 50 points) you would get a percentage based on how much damage you did.
You could ask the wandering clix for help (usually they would on a roll of 4, 5, 6) and if you attacked them they would attack back. Probably the funniest thing that happened was Iceman asking Thor to help attack a Sentinel. Thor said no, and the player called him a wimp. God of Thunder didn't appreciate that and promptly attacked Iceman for 4 damage.
