Unfortunately my copies fell apart, I think I still may have the Ultimate powers book though (for some reason:rolleyes: )

I played Champions on a Yahoo Groups site and we are about to switch over to Mutants and Masterminds.

You know i just can't get in to m&m and silver age sentinels. I loved dc heroes third edition and up until recently heroes unlimited, but champions has spoiled me. I think it's the best system bar none, allthough it takes a great gm to play it smoothly.

I love it too, because of the complexity, but we needed more players and M&M seemed better to the majority, ease of play, ease of character creation etc.

You'd like my Phantasm character.

I made it using three forms, each based on AD&D monsters.

He has a ghost form (Possession is 9/10ths of the law), a poltergeist form (I've been slimed!), and my favorite - a Revenant form (Nothing like being chased down by a rotting corpse that can't be killed, is there?)

oh wow that's totally cool. The thing I liked about champions is that we incorparated alot of dnd. Alignment was sort of psych limitation. I.E. must act like neutreal good.
Of course over this weekend I made the lamest character ever. A reformed thug called Iron Fire he was poor mans collossus and sunfire.

That would be really cool if you could actually make the game work online then it wouldnt take so much effort to get everybody together at the same time, although I guess it would take away from the gaming experience.

Not necessarily, I could see it happening on a group chat like AOL Instant Messenger. That would actually be pretty fun.

What's The Marvel RPG game?

The Marvel RPG originated during the early 1980's.

It basically is the pre-cursor to HC.

Everybody had the following stats:

Strength
Fighting
Endurance
Agility
Psyche
Intelligence

The abilities/powers were ranked on a scale of:

Shift 0 (0)
Feeble (2)
Poor (4)
Good (10)
Excellent (20)
Remarkable (30)
Incredible (40)
Amazing (50)
Monstrous (75)
Unearthly (100)
Shift X (150)
Shift Y (500)
Class 1000 (1000)

You had to roll percentile dice (2x d10) to determine your actions:

Attack
Evade
Slammed
Regeneration
Special Powers
etc...

It was a great game that my friends and I would play for 8-15 hours at a shot. We would usually draft 20+ people to our teams and have a HUGE Royal Rumble. The maps we had were not enough to have the battle on so we usually just wound up using the entire room.

We were even allowed to draft the BIG Cosmic Entities:

Galactus
Eternity
Ego
In-Betweener
etc...

We limited the Cosmic Entities to just 1 action/round. Otherwise they would just end the battle by killing everyone on their turn.
