Does anyone else miss Nexus and The Badger?

I can't believe Dark Horse chose Sock Monkey over these two incredible series. Or that no one else would pick up the books.

Yes I know Image ran Badger for a while, but the truth is it's harder than ever for a B & W book to sell.

I miss the moral examinations of Nexus as a man must become the conscience of his race. A man guilty by his very mission of the same crime he is punishing.

And every month in Badger, the challenge of telling if the story is our view, or what is happening inside Norbert's head.

Good, intelligent, and humourous writing. Not to mention Steve Rude's art on Nexus. And the veritable army on Badger of artists who somehow were inspired to some of their best work.

Where is Mike Baron? I haven't seen his work since The Crush. An excellent mini on vigilanteism.

A recent interview with Rude had him saying that Nexus would return, but they neglected to ask about Baron's whereabouts and writing.

What it is!

I just wanted to add that Mister Baron is also the best writer The Punisher ever had. Dropping Frank into the middle of storylines ripped from the headlines led to a lot of food for thought. Everything from Iraq, to school viloence, to flag burning, to race relations.

He also gave us Microchip.
