Welcome to the Weekly Indy Comics Review Thread!

Every week we'll put up a "sticky" thread like this one so people can review and discuss the current weeks Indy comics.

The threads will stay at the top of the Indy Comics forum from Wednesday afternoon until the next Wednesday morning, after which time they'll be "unstuck" and return to their chronological spot in the forum, to be replaced by the current week's thread. Each thread will be marked with the ! icon.

RUSE #23

Hands down. This is the best comic published today by any company (only Planetary and Ultimate Spidey cme close).

Imagine Sherlock Holmes meets Remington Steele with a little bit of magic thrown in. This is such a delightful read. I'm always a sucker for Victorian and Pulp period pieces, but this one is exceptional. True mysteries, great comedy, and attention to detail.

The tension between Simon Archard and Emma Bishop is great. The two are doing everything to deny that they are getting closer. Good fun.

ASTRO CITY LOCAL HEROES # 4:
I like Astro City so much that I am really angry that it is on such a slow schedule. I want to see more of this title because it is so darn good.

AUTHORITY # 6:
One of the best team books on the shelves today. Marvel has Avengers/X-Men, DC has JSA, and the Indy companies have The Authority!

QUEEN & COUNTRY # 18:
I like this title but I had to drop it due to monetary restraints. This is one hell of a great book and I am grateful I get to read it fo free because I would hate to miss it.

WAY OF THE RAT # 17:
This is one of the funniest books on the stands. Not only is the main character a click (Boon) he is also plagued by a mystical, kung-fu, talking monkey companion that is constantly berrating him.
