Hi Batfans out there
For those that like to use model terrain and vehicles etc. in there games. I just found a perfect Batmobile model to be used. I just recieved it from an ebay purchase I made.
Its the Hallmark Keepsakes Batmobile designed to be hung on a christmas tree. Its spot on scale wise for HC and looks just great. It has Batman and Robin figures in it and they are modelled with their capes blowing in the slipstream over the rear of the car. Their poses are dramatic and batman is modelled with his hands on the steering wheel at 8 'oclock and 12 o'clock Robin is leaning forwards with both arms out side the cockpit area. Both figures are probably 98% smaller than the Clix equivalents and are painted to the same level.
The car is the 1960's comics version and is middle blue in colour, with silver and black sprayed on the details and batsymbols are yellow and black decals. My only complaint is that the wheels don't turn (maybe thats just my one) but they are set so that the Batsymbols on the hubs are set just offset of upright so its not a critical fault.
Mine cost me $15 US on ebay there were cheaper ones but they wouldn't sell outside the US. The model is no longer made (XMAS 1995) so I don't know if its available in stores anymore, I certainly never saw them here in Australia.
I would give the overall model 8/10 it is only beaten in visual appeal by the Corgi 1/43 model ( I would never spend that kind of money)
