The Villain Clan!

Since there are so many different clans popping up, I thought I'd make a new one that goes back to the basics: forming an "alias" that is a comic charecter, like the ever-growing X-Men clan or Avengers clan. So I present to you... the VILLAIN clan!
Rules:
1) First, pick a name for yourself. That will be your "alias". If you want to act like that charecter, go ahead. The only name problem is the charecter must be a villain. Marvel, DC, Image, Top Cow, whatever. Any villain you want. (Anti-heroes don't count, like the Punisher)
2) Dont be a jerk. That's all it really gets down to.
3) Have fun!

That's all it really gets down to! As for my alias, I shall be probably the king of super-villains, DOCTOR DOOM. (the next person to reply doesnt have to be VP, but they can if they want to.)

and since we have enough members to get a good discussion going, let's start one.
Regarding the recent FF storyarc ("Authoratative Action") do you think Doom is really over and done with?
(for those of you unfamiler, Reed and Johnny went back in time to kill Doom before he became a threat. Reed purposly shot off a lock of Doom's hair and is replicating his DNA. For some reason, Doom is no longer in Latveria, and Reed decided that the FF should rule the country now.)
I don't think he's dead, because if they were to kill off such a cool villain, that would be like killing off Spider-Man. You just don't do it to such a great charecter. Thoughts?

In 'Unthinkable', Doom got trapped in Hell, but he'll be back. I think that Reed was replicating Doom's DNA so that he could get through his security system. And in terms of killing Doom would be like killing Spider-Man, they "killed" Magneto.

And by the way, I didn't pick Taskmaster as my alias, because he's not really a villain. He'd work for SHIELD if they payed him enough. And Foom is awesome.

Good guys go bad: Xorn is Magneto. Wolverine and Archangel have been Death. Ferel (X-Force... anything?) goes crazy. Hal Jordon. Hulk. Punisher. (sorta) Cyborg Superman. Cyclops and Havok in "AoA".
What's your opinion on writers making goodies baddies? Good thing? Bad thing?

I personally like it when they mix it up a little and have guys that you would never expect to go crazy go crazy... or evil. And (speaking for Doom) I LOVE it! Bwa ha ha! More forces to assist me in my global takover! I shall RULE!!

Disturbing to say the least! When Ironman started taking his top off, that was enough! Brrrrr! Now that's evil personified!

I think stories would be more poignant if they let dead characters stay dead. Give a storyline a good run, amke us care about what's happening, then if someone is caught in the crossfire or one of us villains makes a fatal mistake, it'll have more impact when we buy the farm!

Anyway, here's the new topic for discussion:

The Sinister Six. The Injustice Gang. The Brotherhood of Evil/ Mutants. When villains get together, it's definetly a lot of trouble for the heroes. But do you find that villains work better alone or together?
As Doom, I belive that working by myself is the only way. However, I have no qualms with hiring a large group of already existant super villains (Klaw, Ultron, the Puppet Master, for example) and making them do my dirty work.
Of course, I have teamed up with my future-self, Kang, but after too many complications (he tried to KILL me during the Secret Wars!) I have not wasted my time with him recently. What's you opinion?

i feel that Villains can work together , but in the end it bolis down to who has the biggest ego . And power . After all , when you think of it , aren't the rest of your allies just expendable pawns you can use to further your own goals ?

Well, of COURSE, it's all about the ends justifying the means, but I have no qualms about temporary liaisons, whether i hire someone or rent myself out as a flunky. If it gets me what I need or want, that's motivation enough!

in response to Doctor Dooms question, i think villain always wok better alone. They are to stuck up and have to much pride that they would end up fighting each other, or double- crossing each other.

Remember the first appearance of the Sinister Six and many of their subsequent appearances. They couldn't work together at all. The new Injustice Gang (Luthor, Prometheus. Queen Bee, and the General) worked together pretty well though. I think that on average, villains can't work together.

God, finally someone that gets my name I mean people think I'm actually a guy named Howard thanks. As cool as Dr. Bong is I've always had a place in my heart for the Absorbing Man. If you want to see a villain that won look at ultimate war, look at Magneto he destroy's the Brooklyn bridge and it cause's the X-men become wanted criminals and to top it off S.H.I.E.L.D. arrest's Xavier.

Sometimes it is better for many villians to gang up. Look at Bane vs. Batman. Bane couldn't beat Batman by himself so he recuited many unnamed thugs to wear down the Bat, then broke him himself after Batman was exhausted. However, if you get too many super-villians together for too long, their egos will get the best of them, eventually.

I believe that it is always better when bad guys team up. I mean, if every villain teamed together as one we might just destroy the world (or do whatever). Even though it is better, the villains ego usually breaks them up. So if they could stay together just once, I think the bad guys could win one.;)

Update! The Villain Clan world has been quiet the past few days, but rumor has it a NEW development is on the horizon! Not much information is known, but something is killing the great villains of Earth! That's right, it's time to start the Ultimate Whodunit: Bad Guy Breakdown!
Rules:
Randomly, a member of the Villain Clan will be selected to be the secreat backstabber. They will be notified by a PM from me. If they do not respond in 3 days, they will no longer be the backstabber, and instead will be a possible victum. The backstabber and myself will communicate through PMs. They will tell me who they wish to kill, and I will post them. REMEMBER: This will be decided completly randomly, and by one person. I will not be playing, I'll just moderate. There will be twists, so watch out!
I need 8 people to say they want to play. Post that you want to play here, so the murderer can know who is playing. As soon as 8 people are gathered, one will be chosen to be the murderer. You'll be playing as your Villain moniker. The game begins soon! Join quickly!

In other news, Black Manta, Amazo, and Green Goblin have signed on! The story so far:

High in Latveria, Doom's castle is perched above a large peak. Doom sits in his banquet hall, awaiting the responses to that e-mail he sent to many great super villains. Suddenly, many screams and explosions are heard from the city. There is a loud blast, and the Green Goblin flies in the window to the banquet hall.
"Was that REALLY required, Osbourn?" Doom growls under his metal mask.
"Lighten up, Victor. I was just blowing up some thatch cottages. Big deal. Where's my seat?" The Goblin sits at the opposing end of the table.
"This is going to be interesting..." Doom mumbles. Just then, another slightly unfamiler face flies in the window, or rather through the wall.
"I am Amazo," the pointy-eared robot said. "I am here for the Doom Minion Recruit meeting."
"Take a seat, Amazo." Dom replied. Amazo sat uncomfterbly at the head of the table, near Doom. 5 seats remained.
A few silent minutes passed. Then a black hand grasped the windowsill. Black Manta pulled himself up, his scuba gear clattering noisly and dripping.
"All right! I made it!" Black Manta pulled back a chair and sat. "That is one insane moat you got, Doom." Black Manta shook off his pitchfork.
"Who invited Fishboy?" Goblin shouted.
"I hacked into Luthor's e-mail. And I want to join." Black Manta snarled.
"But... you suck." Amazo said confused.
"ENOUGH!" Doom was on his feet, smashing his hand on the table. It cracked. "I did send an e-mail to Manta, obviously he just didn't recive it."
"I don't check my e-mail anymore." Manta replied nonchalantly. "I keep getting credit card bills and hate mail from Ocean Master. After I sponsored him for Legion of Doom membership..."
"I called you here to join MY Legion of Doom. The Legion of DOCTOR Doom! But not all of you are ready. This meeting will help me root out the few that are not ready. You will be tested in thre fields. Number 1: Promptness. You all passed that area, for making it here before there were 8 people here already. Number 2: Loyalty. One of you will be enlisted to kill the others. If he says no, he will be killed. If he agrees, he will become a servent of mine... if he lives. and number 3: Fighting and detective skills. If your are being attacked, and you fight off your attacker, you will join my team with top honers. But out of all of you, I don't know if any of you will survive."
Doom sat back down again. "Clearly, no one else will be coming tonight. I have rooms set up for you. Go to sleep, soon 5 more people will come... and the game shall begin."

OK guys, Ityped the greatest post ever, and the system screwed up, so it didnt work, and got deleted. I'm annoyed, so I'll just give you a basic rundown of what happened.
1. The villains are in bed. Amazo doesn't sleep, so he roams the halls as a temp Doombot.
2. Mr. Freeze comes in and wakes everybody up by being so cold. Everyone thinks he's Captain Cold, making him pissed, but Doom says they want him to join.
3. Venom storms in, killing some Latverians, and Doom gets him situated.
4. Doom gives Freeze and Venom pamphlets explaining the rules and such. (Goblin, Manta, and Amazo already have them.) The pamphlets contain maps of the castle.
5. There will be waffles for breakfast in the morning.

The real post had a lot more story, but it was destroyed, so I'm just giving you this. Sorry guys.

When we last left our villains, they were sleeping. That was 5 hours ago. Now it is 10 am and not all of the villains are out of bed yet. Doom is, as he does every day, sitting in the highest tower making sure all he desires is happening in the world. Green Goblin and Venom were getting in a fight over who is Spider-Man's arch nemisis, Mr. Freeze was rooting through the freezer for something to eat, and Black Manta was slathering his waffles with as much blackberry syrup as humanly possible. Amazo was charging in his charge hostel he brought from Professor Ivo's lab. Doom strapped on his boot jets and flew down from the tower to the dining room in the lowest part of the castle. When he arrived, he saw an unfamiler face... actually, 12 unfamiler faces. All were of the Mirror Master, famous Flash enemy.
"Ha ha ha!" the reflections laughed. "I have broken into your castle, and now will kill all your men before you can even get this rag-tag band off the ground! Then I shall rule Latveria!"
"Oh, please..." Doom fired off 11 shots from his blaster gauntlets, destroying all the mirrors, but leaving the man untouched. The Doombots promptly grabbed him around the arms.
"How...? Even the Flash could not...!"
"Ah yes..." Doom replied. "But the Flash is not Doom." He flew over to the Mirror Master and handed him a pamphlet. "If you are quite finished attempting to kill my men, I would like to offer you the opportunity of a lifetime." The Doombots escorted the Mirror Master out of the room.
"That was fast." Venom growled.
"I killed Gwen Stacy faster." the Goblin retorted.
"Will you knock it off with the Gwen Stacy carp? We nearly killed his wife, AND spawned the symbiote that gave even the BATMAN trouble!"
"Yeah, SPAWNED, but didn't do the deed. You were beaten by the clone, loser. I made robots of his parents and convinced him they were alive for MONTHS!"

Doom wisely decided to avoid this conversation. He started to go up to his clone lab, but heard the doorbell ring and decided to see who was there instead of letting his Doombots execute it. It was Killer Moth.
"Hey. I'm here for the New Legion join-up." Killer Moth handed his bag to the closest Doombot and proceded to the man himself. "Crazy place you got here. Had to take 3 planes. Where do I sit?"
Doom sneered. "I didn't invite you..."
Killer Moth laughed. "You invited almost everyone! Your invitation was all over the beatupthebat.com message board. You invited Tweedledum and Tweedledee..."
"No..." Doom whispered.
"...the Cavalier..."
"No..."
"...even Cluemaster."
"NOOOOO!" Doom screamed. He quickly settled down and handed Killer Moth a pamphlet. "Well, we need 2 more, and you could be good cannon fodder. Take the pamphlet." He turned to the rest of the members of his Legion. "Now everyone, there is one slot remaining. So call your friends, post on your message boards, (he glared at Killer Moth) and try to get someone to get here... anyone. For now, you can explore the town, enjoy yourselves, but don't kill anyone or destroy anything. Resume back here for lunch at 12. By then, someone should be here and the game will begin."

Now, for the next story.

It was around 6 pm. Castle Doom seemed extra forboding that night. Doom was sitting in his room playing solitare. A blue hand came from the shadows and took up the Queen of Hearts.
"Well. Victor von Doom playing by himself. Can't say I'm surprised." The figure of Nathaniel Essax, Mr. Sinister, came down to sit in the opposite chair. "I know this little game you have planned, and the little band that will be orgonized after it is all over. I want in."
Doom snatched back the card and placed it in its proper place on the table. "Isn't this slightly slumming for you, Essax? You seem like the kind of guy that would rather slaughter a gang of mutants than join a group of super villains that are going to just start killing each other anyway."
Mr. Sinister clenched his fist. "I told you I wanted to join, so give me my pamphlet and show me my room, Doom!" he roared.
"How did you know... that telepathy of yours is very annoying." Doom gathered the cards and put them back in the box. He strode over to an end table and picked up the last pamphlet. "That is exactly what this group is missing." He handed the pamphlet to Mr. Sinister and pulled down a microphone. "All New Legion members report immidiatly to the meeting hall. Our newest member is here. Also, on your desk in your room you should find a piece of paper. If it has a black dot on it, you are the night killer! You should report to me immidiatly and not tell anyone. Thank you."
Doom turned back to Mr. Sinister and smiled. "Let's go to the meeting room. Your new allies will want to meet you."

News on the game:
Early morning. Doom is awoken by loud pounding on his door. He dons his armor quickly and fires his wrist blasters through the door. The pounding stops gradually. Doom opens the door to find the mangled body of Venom, who had been clawing at the door because he was running from the loud bell tower noise. And now he was dead. Doom called several Doombots, who scooped up the gooey body of Venom, and buried him in the crabgrass meadow outside the castle.

Meanwhile, the killer has striked! He wrote his own storyline for the death, and now you can read it! After this post, people may voice their hypothosis in the thread, and if you think you know who it is, PM me! If you are wrong, you are next on the killer's list. So be careful!
And now, the first death.

All the villains have assembled around the table for breakfast, all except for one, Mirror Master has not came down for breakfast yet. Doom, curious to know what has happened to his reflective guest, ventures up to search for him. Stepping off the staircase, Doom spots The Mirror Master's room, and starts to take several brisk steps toward his room when he steps in a puddle of water, intrigued,
Doom pushes the adjacent door open, revealing hundreds of mirrors, each one showing a reflection of the Mirror master laying on the floor, his face frozen in horror. Doom, stepping over the now stiff Mirror master, realizes several of the mirrors have been shattered, but not by physical force... he continues to look around the room, then stops dead over Mirror master's body, he leans over, and closes Mirror Master's agape mouth, he then stands up, turns and walks out of the room. Underneath his mask, he smiles.

BGB Update! The killer has striked again... twice? He managed to kill one and injure another. But who and whom? Here's a hint: It wasn't a broken Doombot. If you think you know who the killer is, PM me with your reply. If you are wrong, you die instantly. Good luck!

*Midnight* The murderer strikes! However, the thick stone walls protect the murderer from being discovered from the shrill cries from the next victim.
*Early morning* Sobs loud enough to penetrate the walls of Doom's Castle wake the guests. Following the cries, Doom and the rest make their way into Mr. Freeze's room where they find him resting on his knees, lukewarm tears running down his face, mixing with the frozen blood of a freshly opened wound on his lip. "Th-Th-th-they tried to get me!" He cries. "Oh why couldn't they have finished the job?" He sobs as he scoops up pieces of a shattered music box. "It was all I had to remember her by..." As the villains gather their thoughts, Doom walks in. "In case you haven't figured it out, the killer tried to get our frozen companion here, all they got though was the rest of his soul. This music box that was his wive's...we'll do our best to fix it Mr. Fries" At this point, several doombots walk in, scoop the shards up, and walk out the room. "And for God's sake man, pull yourself together and get something to eat" At this Mr. Freeze sniffs, straps on his suit, and shuffles out of the room. "Mr. Freeze was lucky enough to escape the grasp of death from our murderer, but Mr. Osbourn wasn't" Doom holds up a green torn mask drenched in blood. "This is one green menace who won't be joining us for breakfast.however, this time, the murderer left a hasty trail for us to follow, before the goblin was severely beaten, he died of asphyxiation...on water, and scratched into his mirror was this message." Doom lays a paper with some scrawling next to Mr. freeze's tattered old ice gun, it reads: "And to think I once admired a fool like you! A DEAD fool like you!"

BGB update!: Another death down. This fool had the comuppance to guess the killer. Now we shall see what happens to HIM.

*Early morning* Amazo pokes his head around the corner, he's been on edge since he heard about Green Goblin...he thinks back, remember's mimicking Batman's stealth, he implies them now and slips into the shadows, he breathes a sigh of relief, he waits...and steps out of the shadows...when he's hit, a hard clubbing blow right on the side of his head, he's blinded, unable to see, he feels around, grabs onto a wall and starts to make his way down the hall when he's hit, by another clubbing blow, this time in the back of his ribs, he drops to his knees, he spurts out "Who?" when a coat rack hurtles through the front of his neck and winds up lodged into a stone wall, he chokes, then falls over, dead. Several minutes later, Killer Moth wanders up, looks down at Amazo smirks, then calls for the others.

I believe that Vandal Savage's deadly sin would be Pride. Most of his "Fail Proof" schemes have failed through his failure to allow for something he didn't foresee. (Case in point, While he stranded Superman of Earth 2 on a red sun planet in an alternate universe, he didn't allow for a teammate's creating a suit to protect him from the radiation. Or when he took away Hawkman's wings, he didn't think to take away his nth metal belt.)

Okay fellow villains (or in some of your cases, perhaps vaude-villians... Yes, I'm mocking you -- Deal!)... here's a new question for you all to kick around for a bit:

"What so-called hero out there would you consider to be your own personal nemesis, or, if you must, Arch-Enemy? If you don't have a personal nemesis, what hero would you most like to revenge yourself upon for some slight or past grudge? What was the insult/injury, and how would you repay them?"

No fair naming other villains, in this instance... we're all jerks, and we're bound to tick each other off.

Me, I've always been careful to not have any one hero particularly upset with me for long lengths of time. But there's one particular one that I'd looove to get revenge on. Photon, the so-called Avenger formerly known as Captain Marvel... she broke my neck one time, and it was a long and painful recovery. If I can learn her true name and occupation, I would pose as a therapist and manipulate her friends and family into situations where they would turn against her in the end, costing her everything that she holds dear and forcing her to spend years recovering what she's lost. Payback's a b-itch, and so am I, honey!

HOLY JESUS ON A POGO STICK! So many people have been multi-posting! I oughta make a rule against that... so shiffy0295, maveric28, and coad14, you're all on thin ice. Try to prevent that.
Also, I haven't been updating the BGB for 2 reasons.
1) My 'rents were in New Orleans without me again, so I didn't have access to my home computor. Since lase Wednsday, I was at my grandparents, (somewhat new but still kinda slow computor) a Jewish Etgar retreat at a campsite, (no computor) and a family friend's house (fast computor, but the kid was playing Starcraft online the entire freaking time.) So I haven't been able to check ANYTHING.
2) The killer hasn't given me the kill post yet! (If you have, just PM me an angry note, and I'll post it. The kill post, not the angry note.)

But for now, a new discussion.
Clan wars there have been many, but some find them childish. But since a Hero Clan has been erected, I find it hard to decide. Should we wage war on the Hero Clan? Note: Do not attack in the name of the Villain Clan unless I give the word. Defiance will result in Clanary expulsion. Thank you.

Sorry for the double post, but the next portion of the Bad Guy Breakdown is about to begin!
Dr. Doom was smashing the Mr. Fantastic action figure one of his workers bought, when he heard a loud cackle, and then a cold storm sweep through the castle. He lept downstairs to the dining hall, where Mister Freeze, laughing maniaclly, was freezing Black Manta and Mister Sinister to the walls. He pulled out a large rifle when he was shot in the back of the head, and then once again in the front, JFK-style. Amazo emerged from the oven, holding a handgun.
"Wait a minute!" Doom yelled. "Amazo was destroyed by the killer! Who reactivated him?"
"I did." Killer Moth jumped inside from the window. He blew the smoke out from his handgun, matching Amazo's. "I knew Mister Freeze was the killer, so I gave him a dose of this." He held up a small perfume bottle. "It's a mixture of Joker's laughing death gas and Scarecrow's fear gas. The perfect insanity potion. While he slept, I snuck into his room and sprayed a little in his helmut, just enough to make him go the the extreme in everything he did. It worked, and now he didn't care if everyone saw him kill these two. But I was afraid he might go after me, so I comissioned Amazo to get him in the act. Coincidentally, we shot him at the same time." Killer Moth stashed the bottle in his belt. "So, do I get a prize or something?"
Dr. Doom was confused, but he managed to pull out the wad of Latverian dollers and a laminated card. The card said:

Dr. Doom's Head Detective
"Mess with this guy, you mess with Doom."

Charaxes (Killer Moth) has WON the Bad Guy Breakdown! He correctly guessed that the killer was Mister Freeze! Starting now, Charaxes, you may post in your signature: Dr. Doom's Master Detective: I solved the Bad Guy Breakdown!

One note about the currently unnamed trivia game: If you have not joined, join now. It's gonna be great. But when you do join, make sure that you qualify for one of two things:
1) Your Villain name is in your signature.
Example: Look at jLarulez89's sig. (don't be lazy, it's at the top of this page) He clearly lists his clans (all four) and what his name is in all of them. Thank you jLarulez89!
2) You include your Villain name in the body of your PM to me.

I am in it right? and as for the Discussion, I chose Mr. Freeze, because of all his tradgedy, and that he isn't all that bad, just insane from losing Nora, great villain backstory, that makes you not hate him as much as your supposed to, and in the end, you hafta root for him.

Why'd I choose Ra's Al Ghul? Because assasins are cool, immortal assasins are even cooler, his daughter's in charge of Lexcorp (and the way Jim Lee [HAIL!] drew her in hush helps matters!) and any guy who can find out Big Bad Bats' ID is cool. The fact that one reason that he's po'd with Bats is because he turned down Talia is even cooler.

Oh, and Ibn Al Xu'fassch (sp?) in Kingdom Come, Ra's son, is also cool. Not only is he a billionaire businessman working at Lex's right hand, but he runs off with Nightfire! Evil, and a playboy...all three of this family could be Bond villains, except that they're too smart (They DON'T tell you their evil scheme!) How is that not great?

(his hero name) Doom would arrange a squad of Doombots to clip his wings, then I would fire off as many rounds of wrist gauntlets as nessecary to keep them from growing back. I would also bottle his blood for a healing potion. Then I would flog him.
A brief note of changing names: If you want to change your name and the name you want is already taken, you've got to do research. Read the previous 5 pages. If the bearer of the name hasn't posted anywhere on those pages, then I'll let you switch names. If it goes back 10 pages, tell me and I'll remove them from the Clan. That's right, folks! If 10 consecutive pages go by without a single post from you, you are out of the Clan!

I'd like to try your trivia game, Doom, but the link you've supplied seems to lead to a 'dead zone.' No information on the rules or game itself. Set me up, and I'll happily join in.

As for Archangel, he's a delightfully dark hero, with a vast wealth of personal inner demons which make him an easy target for doubt and fear. I'd set up an ambush for him, using my intangibility to get the drop on him and subdue him. Once that happened, I'd set up a cell where he would be programmed with hallucinogens and various hypnotic suggestive techniques I've picked up over the years. Eventually, this unstable mind, this fallen Angel, would be led to betray his friends the X-Men, starting with an unexpected assassination of Professor X. I understand their crippled mentor doesn't read the minds of his students for fear of invading their privacies... how droll! Taking no chances, the Angel would fire two shots from some powerful handgun into the back of Xavier's skull, and then start sniper-shooting some mutants. In the event of the first sign of psychic interference, or if he's about to be engaged in combat physically, Archangel will trigger a subconscious command to turn his gun on himself and take his own life.

This is how to defeat a "hero." Take away that which he holds most dear, and permanently stain his reputation as well. :devious: Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!
