Does anyone know how to do the type for a figure base?

What I mean is: Say I have a Plastic Man figure, and I want to change the name on his base to "Elastic Man" or something. How do I go about doing that?

Can someone maybe do that for me? Please let me know. Thanks.

The most straightforward method:

Download the Adobe Illustrator dial templates...I think c.r.e.a.t.i.o.n.matrix has them.

Modify the template as appropriate.

Remove the figure from the base, and smoth the base top with an exacto blad, or sandpaper.

Print the new dial top on a sticker sheet, trim the dial top to size, and apply. Reattach the figure (Epoxy works well)

Any "Avery" label (or equivalent) should work. I use full sheet stickers.

I was hoping for something that looked a little nicer than a sticker. Can anyone do decal work?

I think you can buy decal paper at some hobby shops, especially those that carry model trains. If you have photoshop, it has a "T-shirt transfer" (or something like that), printing option, it really just prints it backward so it trasfers readably. You cold probably use the illustrator templates to make decals that way.

I made a custom dial top for a 2 point midget i modded manually. I just used a mad hatter base that was laying around and carved the unnecessary icons off with an exaco. I had to s####e pretty carefully, but you can't even tell anything was printed there. I kept the capitol M and used white out to write in the other letters. in order to get the thick white out into the same size and font as the heroclix dial lettering i just carved the letters out veeeeeery carefully with the tip of a brand new exacto blade. A magnifying glass is a must but it is nigh-undetectable unless you really scrutinize the base.

it's a lot of work, but i think it looks better than a printout or a sticker.
