Want to guarantee two Marquees on Saturday?

Want the best value *and* the best chance at prizes?

Then you want to play the RavenProject double-header on Saturday, 25 October!

Your day begins at High Noon at Dreamland Comics in Schaumburg. Rich is offering a phenomenal discount for Marquee players: only *twelve dollars* for three boosters!

Once we've wrapped at Dreamland, we'll make the ridiculously short trip from Dreamland over to Crooked Hat Games. Grab some food at Frato's, then settle in for the second Marquee battle at five! In addition to the Marquee LEs, I'll be dropping *at least* six additional prizes! At varied intervals through the night, we'll announce a random game condition. Maybe it's a Critical Miss, or rolling exactly 4 on BCF, or scoring the next kill. Make it happen (or have it happen to you!), and the prize is yours!

Not only that, but both events will features the standard RavenProject bonus prizes! Eight or more players, I'll kick in an additional LE prize for second place. If we sell a case for Rich or Todd and that'll bring a second Fellowship prize as well!

Quick details for you:

Dreamland Comics is at 1451 W Schaumburg Rd in Schaumburg, IL. Game starts at noon. You can call the store at 847/524/6060.

Bah! And here I am running an event and playing in one right afterwards on Saturday. Man, I wish they would open up the dates again so I can take a trip for some Marquee fun in Chicagoland.

Good luck, RP! Hope you have successful events. Now if I can just time everything right for a Winter Regional tourney (if they have one at Pasttimes)...

I was talking to the owner of Pastimes, and there will indeed be a Winter Regional tourney. They're planning on expanding to cover more WizKids games. He didn't tell me the date, though.

Alas, I will be out of town-- but the last double-header was a great time.

Sounds great John, I willl hopefully see you there for the first event.

Regarding Pastimes winter event, I know that we wrote a proposal and submitted it to WizKids, and I cannot see how they would not select us as we started the whole regional program with our first event.

I thought it was approved. My bad.

Mr. Bond (que 007 music...)

Are there any possible dates being considered?

(Sorry, RP, not meaning to hijack your tread...)

No worries... I've got a stake in that as well, so I'm anxious to find out. :)

What are you worried about? We've got a quadruple-header going on between us over the Fri/Sat/Sun stretch! :)

Very true, but I've been itchin' to get up to one of RP's tourneys for the "dance-remix" version of the funky EC Medic dance!!!

Guess I'll have to settle for our own Mid-state Marque Madness!! Man, I cannot wait!!

I just got back from RavenProjects second leg of his double header, and MAJOR, MAJOR PROPS go out to him. The goodness was flowing like I've never seen before. I can only relate this to the type of stuff I would read about over on the Triangle Clixs newsgroup and the great events they would always talk about.

RP gave away 3 LEs each round for various tasks (I won one for first person to fail on a breakaway). There were lots of others (crit misses, knockback, etc.). The best was in the last round. The first person to roll a successful hit and needing a 10 or higher on the attack to hit. My opponent PERPLEXED his own attack down to try and hit me (he needed a 9, a 10 with the perplex). Now that's going out of your way to try and win an LE!

Four of us tied for fellowship, and RP gave us each an LE (I got Emil Blonsky).

Hats off to RP for an excellent event!:)

Thanks for the kudos. I'm glad you had a good time.

The coolest part for me was the sense of community and shared enthusiasm you guys developed as the night went on. Whenever someone scored an LE the whole group would give a solid "attaboy!"

You guys really turned into into a whole-group experience, and I'm thrilled to have played a part in that.

Now I need to top this for the CM Marquee. ;)
