I guess it just goes to show. Everyone says they want intelligent books, and then they don't buy them.
Simon Archard had an IQ larger than his shoe size. Emma Bishop was the hottest chick in comics, and that was being dressed head to toe.
We had well constructed mysteries with actual clues. We had old fashioned movie romance, where our intrepid heroes, don't realise they are in love yet. We had excellent period art. There was such a thing as anatomy before anime.
So RIP Ruse. You join the fine ranks of The Question. Nexus, Badger, and Ghost before you. Makes me wonder just how long John Constantine has left.
