View Full Version : Maps Looking for a custom map: Thanos' Fortress

Hey guys,

I'm wanting to run an Infinity Gauntlet scenario over in the Play by Post section of this site after CM comes out. I know that I have seen a custom map online somewhere before of Thanos' fortress from that storyline, but I can't for the life of me find it. I have a bad feeling that it was on a site that no longer exists.

If any of you have seen it, know where it is or have a copy of it, please let me know.

Thanks,

Troy

So.... looks like no one has it then...

Surely someone has at least seen it before. I'm not imagining things am I?

I think I have seen it. Is it the BIG one mostly white and kinda looks like it's in space?

Yeah that's the one. I don't even have my copy of Inifinity Gauntlet at the moment, as I leant it to a friend...but it's the fortress floating in space that Thanos created in space when he had assembled the Gauntlet together.

Coolness. I'll try and get my copy back and see about getting it scanned. I was thinking about trying to make one myself... but if you would like to, I would be very appreciative.

Basically his fortress is floating in the middle of scape- I'd like some space squares around the edge, with some decent sized asteroids about. Perhaps have the Fortress backed up against one edge, with the large open space at the fron of it taking up the middle of the map, and an asteroid at each of the other 3 edges (so that the teams have some solid ground to start on).

I thought of some cool rules for "space" squares.

1) Any character occupying a space square continues to float with the momentum of their last movement. When a character in a space square is not given an action on a turn, they are moved one space in the same direction as their last movement. When estimating paths of unit compare the location of the initial square to the target square, not the most likely path taken. If the direction was not along a direct straight line, then they are always moved diagonally. If this causes them to hit blocking terrain, no knockback damage is given.

2) Characters beginning their movement in a space square move at half of their movement, unless they have flight or Hypersonic Speed. Characters who move into a space square during their turn may continue to move as normal.

3) No movement powers may be used by any character beginning their move in a space square except for Mind Control and Phasing. (These two are from the JLA watchtower gravity scenario that was in the DC map set)

Sound good?

That map (IIRC) was made by Drashia. To my knowledge, he does not have his site up any longer. I may have a hard copy burned at home.

Great! Could you have a look for me? Or should I try and contact Drashia? I thought the site had vanished...it had a lot of cool looking maps on it.
