Hayy... dami kasing mga backlog sa work and sa personal life eh. Mahirap mawala for 3 weeks.

Registration for the marquee this saturday starts at 10. Please ttry to be there on time so that we can start early (hopefully by 11). Heroclix pa rin ang laging nahuhuling magsimula at matapos sa mga ganitong events. ;)
Herri pare, grabe di sumulpot ang kaibigan nating Kim na nagsabi pupunta daw siya. Ni text man lang o anino wala tayong nakita. Di ko alam sayo pero ako kasi kung gagabihin o kaya'y malate e inaabisuhan ko ang kausap ko.
Well, last night Herri and I played the DC vs Marvel confrontation and it was a helluva game that lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. Teams are as follows:
HB
Surfer
Venom R
Black Panther R
Black Cat E
Paramedic V
Edmond
Amazo
Cosmic Boy R
Robin VEasy Company Medic V 2x
HB won the map roll so we played indoors. Panther hid behind a mailbox while Surfer carried Black Cat and positioned himself somewhere along the leftmost edge of the map. Panther didn't see it coming to him but he was hit with a lamp post by a fast moving object and was K.O.'d instantly. Amazo got back into position aftwards.
Venom came into position and picked up the bookcase Cosmic Boy was hiding from. This left Cosmic Boy open for the power cosmic to take him. Reeling from a 4 point damage (3 + 1 point perplex), Cosmic Boy retreated to the 2 medics near him. After resting, Amazo saw his second target and blasted Venom away for 4 clicks of damage leaving him without his super strength and knocking him back 4 clicks away. The medics healed Cosmic Boy but the bandage was probably not set right so only 1 click of healing was done.
Surfer retaliated, killing Cosmic Boy instantly and damaging a medic with Black Cat. Robin swooped in and tried to take one for the team going toe to toe with Surfer. This helped Amazo to recuperate and for the medics to heal each other. Amazo got to Venom and took him down with a ranged attack and another knockback, a K.O.! and carrying a medic, positioning away for added healing from a push. After that, things got blurry. Surfer with his running shot, hit Amazo and bringing him down to the Phasing click. Carrying the medic still, Amazo hid behind a wall using Phasing. The evil Surfer followed suit, hitting our hero once again bringing him down to the elasticity click. Seeking to get away and needing repairs from our favourite Band of Brothers look alike, Amazo got to the left most corner and waited for his fate.
The evil Surfer chose to take Amazo down in close combat, instead of going for the running shot he chose to stick to him. But elasticity proved otherwise and our hero was free! Going behind another wall and outwitting running shot. Both rested and the roll for healing was made, a hit! And the roll was..... a six! Ha! Back to hyper sonic! After that Surfer did not stand a chance. The game ended with Surfer and Amazo going blow for blow, non of us able to get a roll of impervious in. But our hero (Amazo) got the upperhand when a hit with CCE came in.
It was a classic match-up, going blow for blow with Surfer, the best game I've ever had since......I can't remember. Anyway, thanks for a great game and I guess we'll have another game of our slugfest again next week HB!
By the way, please attend our marquee tourney since it is our friend's first marquee tournament. Let's show some support. His boss is expecting 50 people capacity crowd so every head counts!

also, para sa mga may klase o trabaho sa sabado. subukan niyo pa rin humabol. sayang naman diba? :) Kung hindi kayo makakalaro sa marquee, at least makakapag-trade kayo or makakapaglaro kayo ng friendly games.

Punta ka ng maaga. Baka makapag-pick up game tayo kahit isa. If not at least mabigyan kita ng sumamry. ;)
"Yoinking" - Verb. To expose a stealthed figure to ranged attacks by taking away the object token the figure is using to hide in/behind. Usually done by a figure with a combination of super-strength and either of the following powers/abilities: Leap/Climb, Flying, Phasing, Hypersonic Speed
"Yoinker" - One who "yoinks" (see above). A figure with super-strength and either leap/climb, phasing, flying, or HSS showing at the same time on his/her dial.

Dunno if this is true but got it from another forum. It seems true enough. The new DC set promises Two New Team Abilities and four new powers. Hmmm..... seems nice. Especially with Green Lantern. Rumor has it that GL is Hal Jordan since he will return on issue 200. It is now 174 or something so countdown begins. By the way for Batman: Hush fanatics there will be a book out this February on Gotham Nights #50 where, hopefully we will truly see the identity of the baddie. So, drool over this list. by the way the Unique Bats, Supes, WW and Mogog are all Kingdom Come TA. FYI

Indeed it was a great night for DC vs. Marvel. First match was between surfer and the bat family, and Norrin proved too much of a match for the mortals by wiping out the family! 1-0 marvel.
However, Amazo was next in line for Surfer. After a very close and classic match as Edmond has detailed, it was Amazo who edged the Surfer for the W! 1-1 tie.

Mukhang maganda nga yung list. Just like to point out though that I don't think they'll be coming out with another batgirl figure just yet. Also Shazam as a unique? Walang REV? Style kasi ng Wizkids so far is that all their mail-away LE's are from REV figures in the set. The only ones that had uniques were Wolverine, OWAW Supes, Arwyn and Witchblade. And even then they also had REV figs.
Hintay ka lang. Darating din yan. In the meantime, Critical Mass muna. ;) hehehe.

I'm pretty sure the list is not 100% accurate but I would assume it is around 40% accurate in terms of the figs to be introduced. But a lot of news is circling around about a new TA. Keep you posted if I got new scoops.

it works just like before. may isang pagkakaiba na nga lang ngayon though. enhance (and SHIELD TA), adds 1 to the damage dealt.
So in your scenario, na 2 targets na magkatabi, both targets just get 3 damage. 1 for the direct attack + 1 for the splash damage + 1 for enhance/SHIELD TA. Kung may figure sa gitna nila, the damage to each figure is 2 for the two figures that were targetted (ABC, A and C in this case), 1 for the attack + 1 for the enhance. The figure in the middle gets 3. 1 for the splash damage from the left + 1 from the right + 1 for enhance.

First of all, let me say congratulations to Champion, Mon2 "herri_bols" Lopez for winning the Marvel Critical Mass Marquee Event last saturday at N.G. Glorietta 2.
I'd Like to inform you guys that there is a "unrestricted" tournament
that is going to be held on Sunday, December 21, 2003. To celebrate the opening of Neutral Grounds newest branch at the Alabang Town Center(Promenade Area). Prizes for the tournament are the following L.E.s : Champion - THE ATOM, 1st Runner-Up - Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), and for the fellowship a Bobby Drake (Iceman) and Critical Mass boosters for 2nd and 3rd Runners-up. Registration starts at 11AM. Tournament Starts 12PM. Registration fee is p300. Tournament format is 400pts Pure-universe (except for generics) "new rules" in play, wildcards can copy team abilities only from their own universes, including single mixed-generic figure houserule. Meaning you may have a several different generics from other universes (Marvel/DC/Indy) but one unit only of a certain kind. example : 1 con artist, 1 Intergang medic, 1 Checkmate Agent, etc. to go with your Pure-Universe superhero army. Grabe, ang ganda ng mga sculpt. Especially KC figs!!! Sobrang gandang ganda ako sa comic na yun! BACE, hati uli tayo case! From what I see, best scuplts yung set na to. I hope matino yung pintura ng mga figs sa boosters.
Pero kahit gaano kaganda yung mga figs, PANIS PA RIN DC SA MARVEL!!! hehe. Surfer says you might have better sculpts but I'll still whoop yer a$ses!!!!

Putik! Nakaka disappoint ang Marvel! Pangit pa naman yung rumored figs ng next Marvel expansion, mostly street-level lang (Iron Fist, Power Man, Punisher, etc.). Nasaan na si Galactus?? Si Capt. America na hindi bano?? Waaah...
These past few expansions lamang ang DC ah, both sa usability ng figs, sa roster, tsaka sa quality ng sculpts... Sana maglabas sila ng Maestro, Cosmic Spidey (or Spider-Armor), Hulkbuster Iron Man, Odinforce Thor...
Pero kung iisipin niyo, sino pa ilalabas nila sa 3rd DC expansion, after Unleashed? Parang malapit na maubos yung big names ng DC (GL Kyle, Flash Wally, Kid Flash perhaps?) sa Marvel ang dami pang natitira... Baka puro Elseworlds na lang yung ilabas nila...

Ahem! Labrat, as a DC fan I beg to differ your statement that DC has no more characters to position.
Legion has around 25 members, JSA around 15-20, JLA has around that number as well on their reserves list. They also still have a lot of villains that are unreleased. Teen Titans and Young Justice has yet to be seen. The Demon Etrigan, Lobo, Kyle, Impulse, Miracle Man, tons of Elseworlds Batman/Superman/Wonderwoman, Comics from the Vertigo line, etc. So I think there are still a lot of possibilities. I would also like to include the posibility of a new rev Batman and Superman, especially Superman because his REV sucks.
Anyway, I really appreciate Wizkids showing us the new picks of our beloved heroes as their eye-popper!

HB, ok lang purihin yung DC. Para kung talagang maganda, graceful in "defeat" tayong mga Marvel fans... pero kung krapola yun, eh di mas malakas ang halakhak natin. ;)
Well, to any DC fan, just to be perfectly honest with you guys... I grew up knowing watching Superfriends and enjoyed a lot. Love ko sina Superman and company. Pero I grew to like Marvel's characters more because they're "better" heroes in the sense na hindi sila ultra-powerful na in one second eh pwede nang mabugbog ang lahat ng villains.
Take for example Superman... with his strength and speed, he can bop all the villains in his book, catch all of Batman's enemies, take a shower, smoke a cigar, sleep in the fortress of solitude and make out with Lois anytime he wanted to... but this doesn't happen to make the a story out of the comic. Now compare that to Spidey... what happens to Spidey is much more believable than Superman's challenges. That's when Spidey has to be smart in defeating his foes, have problems paying the rent, then going home to Mary Jane all batterred and tatterred. When I see Superman hurt, that's so.. sus... Superduperman naman yan so hindi totoo nasaktan. Pero si Spidey, wawa and get's the readers to sympathize.
This is why I like Marvel characters more. But truth to be told, popular titles of DC's stories are very good and imho, are currently better than most of Marvel's. (Dc's very good with elseworlds and special stories like Kingdom Come) But character wise, I find the the vast majority of DC characters CAMPY... Look at Eclipso, and Amazo.... Ano yan?!? Yes malakas but nothing I'd be proud showing around. Aside from the core DC characters, the others just kinda suck in my opinion... (well, medyo kiddie kasi yung dating ng maraming DC characters eh... it's not going to be a surprise if the likes of these come out: Superdog, Supercat, Superwoman, Batboy, Batnephew, Batbaby, Wonderlady, Aquakid, Flashlad, Blue Lantern, Venusian Womanhunter.... yeesh...)
Except for Spidey, di masyado inaabuso ng Marvel ang ganyang concept.... sure there's Spider-Girl, She Hulk, War Machine, Tarene, but at least there's no such thing as Sergeant America, Lt America, General America, or the like na napaka-campy. (ok ok.. so USAgent is carpy) :p
Pero go pa rin Marvel!!! Maganda mga characters ng Marvel at sana lang eh bigyan nila ng justice sa sculpts at gawing mas accurate yung stats. I mean, Sersi, one of the most powerful Avengers, was really robbed! Buti na lang si Moon Knight, who doesn't get justice on comics, is done well enough for clix. :D
Well, good luck sa Marvel in doing better! Peace sa mga DC fans! I enjoy Justice League just like everyone else. DC created the superhero... Marvel perfected it. (storywise, may lamag ang DC though IIRC)

Pero, ika nga sa WWE, its time to walk the walk! Tuloy na natin ang Marvel vs. DC Grudge matches!
Pero in fairness to Marvel, I think they are doing a great job with the Ultimates line. Eto siguro ang pambanat nila sa ELSEWORDS. Galing ng storya although mature nga lang. And I also heard maganda ang Supreme Power at 1602. I think marvel is keeping pace naman with DC in terms of quality story writing.

Yeah.. let's hope Marvel continues to make waves. Ultimate Spidey is a great piece of work that'll be legend in the future.
With the Ultimates, well, I laughed with Cap's snide remark on issue 12 regarding the "A" on his head but after a while, bothered me cause that's very un-Cap-like behavior. Hearing that from USAgent (a Guy Gardner personality) would have been more believable. But Cap A?!? Well, not really very good line from someone like him in context
"Surrender?!? Do you think this A in my head stands for France?" I think that's what it was.
Okay, I think it is time to hear opinion from a DC reader. I used to read Marvel comics like X-men; X-Factor; X-Force; Excalibur; Spiderman; etc. and yes, as Teletran said, they are just people who have had powers beyond mere mortals through accident, luck or birth. BUT, as time passes, you see Marvel's stories becoming stale and what was supposed to be a very complex storyline bacame dull. The only comic I read that piqued my interest is the Hulk because of it's Grisham books/ X-Files flavor. X-men stories today are not as good as it once was, in the Days of the Age of Apocalypse and Extinction Agenda. It seems that issue after issue is full of nonsense violence with only a little of the story moving for them. THere is just no end concept. I am still collecting Extreme X-men in the hopes that the stories will get better. They just have cameo appearances by Shadowcat and in the latest issue Guido. Claremont killed off Psylocke for no particular reason and her death was not even heroic in the comic pages.
Now on the other hand, take for example DC. Sure Superman is still the one of the most powerful men on the planet but every book ever written about him has a dilema, Superman has a concience and he will never cross that line. He is always a force for good to the extreme. He can kill somebody but his MORALITY states that he can't. His weakness comes from this morality and that is what most DC comics stand for. They always hold true to their characters and its goals. and objectives on why they chose to be what they are. Some of its books are just plain fun and adventure, and I do mean that its stories don't go around in endless circles because it does reach a conclusion, its repurcusions can be seen after the stories are told. I can talk on and on but check out JLA, Superman/Batman, JSA, Teen Titans, Legion, Dr. Fate, Green Lantern, Batman, Detective Comics and other DC stuff it certainly is a very good read!

I think Teletran and Herri were already mentioning that DC stories were better than Marvel. :) Marvel though has been picking up after itself lately. The recent FF and Amazing Spidey storylines were what got me back into collecting again. Also the Ultimate line is pretty interesting.
And Claremont apparently had a very good reason for killing off Psylocke. But the higher-ups in Marvel cut him short so he didn't get a chance to finish his storyline.
One other thing...

To the guys concerned,
Note: if I interchangeably use "envoys" and "venues", kindly excuse me... a lot of our venues have the owners as envoys... so for the purpose of this post, they're one and the same.
Next month, January 2004, we are set to receive the first set of envoy rewards for the envoys of the above venues for events that should have ran last October 2003.
What are envoy rewards?
These are LEs that will only be given to the registered envoys of the venues where the events were run.
However, because we have not seen a good amount of online reporting from all these envoys, we won't be giving their rewards until all reports for their October events have been uploaded.
Why am I posting this?
Because it would probably benefit players to know that envoys DO GET rewards for running events. Apparently our retailers (your venues) are not good at relaying anything we tell them... so I deemed it necessary to go direct to players.
What's your part in all of this?
Next year's nationals would be based on ratings.. and if I look at the ratings now, I'd probably be able to invite less than what we intended to invite only because no one's reported to have participated in rated tournaments. So check if you're actually ranked.
What's the next step?
The rewards I will have here are for October 2003 events only. So.. when your retailer/envoy gets them... they should be more energized to run events... My request: support them by playing in their events and buying products from them! Although they get their rewards, it won't be enough for them to run a true brick-and-mortar store with great playing areas. This said, then it's probably obvious that we give preferential treatment to retailers who have playing areas.. So, pakiusap lang, kung nagpapakawawa effect yung retailer mo.... sabihin niyo rin sa akin!!
Will NG receive the same kind of rewards?
Only envoys who run events in any NG store and are not NG employees are eligible for rewards. The standing policy of NG employees not allowed to directly obtain LEs from NG will stay.

For event-related matters... some FAQs:
1. When do I get my LE?
You'll get your LE when your venue picks it up from NG, after:
- the reports are uploaded AND
- the LEs arrive in Manila (which is approximately one month after the event)
- although we would love to monitor who gets which LE, it's going to be impossible to do that without the uploads... so tell your venue and envoy to start doing uploads!
2. How do I know if the LEs arrived?
- we post them on the appropriate <>Realms.
- we inform your retailer, who should relay the message as well.

Eniweis, I think this is good to hear. As a venue myself we would really appreciate NG to appraise us of these new information and structure via email or forums to let everyone know what is happening. Some players are asking for their LE prizes from winning the tourneys and stuff and all we can tell them is it's not here yet or something. We (the venues) do expect announcements to be made publicly by our distributor to make it official so as players will not treat our information as hearsay. Your information will go to great lengths in strengthening player base.
I hope there will be more information coming in the forums because this is where most HC players communicate. Other media include bulletin/newsletter posts to be distributed on all respective independent retailer venues for key announcements like prizes because I noticed that only tournament events are announced. Your information will ensure the assurance of our players.

Right now I really don't know what to think of how KC Superman will end up as far as playability is concerned. I realy doubt that any one of us can rekiably predict a figure's useability based on the preview. I mean if anyone recalls Iron Man sounded ike a real powerhouse based on the previews but did he end up as one?
As for the Charge/HSS thing it really depends on where and how long the HSS stay on his dial, and what the clicks of HSS look like. Potentially it could be great (like how Spidey & Quasar switch over to defend) or utterly useless (like how Patch gains perplex or Calypso gets TK.) Either way I'm excited for the figure. Although, like I already said the KC figure I'd like to see most is a HSS 256 movement Flash ;)
As for the TA it's again hard to base judement on previews. What I find sort of funny though is that Batman will most likely have the KC TA. Traditionally in clix he gives headaches to Range combatants now it *sounds* like he'll give headaches to close combatants with this version.
By the way congratulations on the win last Sunday. It's nice to see guys like the Beast and Annihilus get some use, not to mention winning a tournament!

Hoorah!!!!! Superman is now Superman!!!! Not some lame excuse for one. You noticed the 10 Range value? Oh my!!!! From Charge he'll go to HSS???? Hmmm...... sounds good to me. Invulnerability then hopefully Impervious but that HSS thing is yummy!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! More HSS for DC!!!! Another one man army with two medics at his side!!!! Sounds good, sounds good. With the KC ability it might mean that we can expect more KC characters in sets to come, right? Like Power Girl, Robin, Spectre..... Or it might be part of an REV, who know's? This is great, now if only they can move the release date earlier, they would have already granted my X'mas wish.

If you do get banned from the forums (though I see absolutley no reason as to why you should be banned) then you might want to send a quick pm to one of the mods of the site and tell them exactly what's been going on.

As for double arrow TK the answer is no. TK has 3 basic functions for the first one (shoving an opposing figure away) the TK power action uses a close combat attack so no double arrow there.
For the second funtion (moving) a friendly character or object, this is not considered an atacck of any sort, just aq power action so again no double arrows.
As for the third action it specifically states to target a square/opposing figure (emphasis mine) using an adjacent object for the attack. There isn't an opportunity to chosse multiple targets, which is different from performing multiple attacks. So despite being a ranged combat attack, double arrows don't work here either.
Don't fret though since Q-sar at least can use his 2 arrows with incapacitate so at least the extra arrow doesn't completely go to waste on his dial. ;)

Ayos naman. Can't get the images of Return of the King off my mind. This is a very beautiful movie and I wish this Filmfest cr@p will just stop and give us movie goers true movies to watch.
Pare it so awesome your eyes will drop and your jaw will just stoop in awe of the majesty and complexity of which Peter Jackson envisioned his film. How he did it is everybody's guess but you are truly going to be amazed. Sino man hindi nakapanood pa, watch it or you miss 1/2 of your life if you miss it!!!!

SPOILER!!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! (Lord of the Rings stuff) continue to NON-SPOILER section if you don't want to know
Just watched Two Towers extended edition kagabi and it was AWESOME!!! In all honesty, I didn't like the two towers as much as fellowship when it came out of the movies due to scenes from the book that were not included. But to my complete surprise the extended edition dvd had them all and more!! Notable extra scenes are:
- Funeral of Theodred (Theoden's son)
- Flashback on how Boromir was appointed the task of going to Rivendell (while showing Denethor's disfavor toward Faramir)
- Attack of the Hurons and Ents (those moving trees) on Helm's Deep orcs! (Now this was a major disappointment when it was excluded from the theatrical version but a big surprise in the DVD)
- Escape of Sam and Frodo from Osgiliath
- Flotsam and Jetsam chapter!
... and so much more that I can't remember now! Galing talaga.
As for the Return of theKing, it was also a very wonderful film. Though I did feel disappointed when they left out some scenes like the confrontation with Saruman at Isengard and the retaking of the Shire from Saruman. But nevertheless wonderful! Best film this year!

Para gumana ito, kailangan pag tumigil yung figure na may running shot katabi niya yung may SHIELD TA.
SHIELD TA and enhance only activate with the ranged attack. Kaya kapag magkatabi yung dalawang figure (SHIELD at running shot) sa simula ng running shot action, di puwede madagdagan yung damage (kasi kapag titira na yung running shot, di na sila magkatabi). Kung flying naman yung may running shot tapos i-taxi niya ang may SHIELD TA, di rin puwede kasi kailangan mo pa rin bigyan ng action token yung SHIELD. Since na-taxi siya, di siya mabibigyan ng action token.

As for the player registration. You have to do it online at wizkidsgames.com and register as a player. I think Chuck has taken the liberty to register some players.

Tutol ako sa old rules tourney in any form, mixed or non-mixed! Please naman mga kapatid wala na sanang old/new rules kundi RULES na lang. Sana naman maging uniform na tayo sa buong mundo at manalig sa isang set of rules na lang, yung OFFICIAL.
On a side note, naglaro kami nina BACE ng LOTR Miniature game nung sunday at sobrang saya niya! Baka maglaro kami uli this wednesday sa G2 kaya yung mga gustong makisaya punta rin kayo!

By the way, folks, I'm asked by Neutral Ground's Mike to inform everyone that yes, Chuck is in the hospital and is sick. A rumor that may be floating around that he resigned is entirely false.
Chuck is still at the hospital but he might be out anytime today.
I agree with Herri that I hope we can just stick to the new rules since that is already in place. Maguguluhan lang ang new players kung bakit may type 1 and type 2 games tayo.

I don't claim that DC is more powerful than Marvel but think about it, after 4 expansions with DC's 2, it is still possible to beat for DC to beat Marvel's figs. Marvel relies too much on perplex most of the time unlike DC of which you really have to mix and match your combos especially on the TA. Reason for putting in a new TA is to introduce a whole new level of game play because after awhile, this game will be redundant by just relying on the old TA's. Furthermore the new TAs are justifiable because these figs definitely come from these teams or universe. Though they can still use old TAs they'd much rather be original.

Eliot, I don't think the Sentinel has any team ability. So there's nothing the wildcards can copy at lalo na yung capture ability. I believe specific lang yan sa big fig.

Gameplay for LOTR is based on having a large army and simulating skirmishes.

Rule Updates:
Some updates on the rules from Wizkids.
Flying characters can now make ranged attacks against any figure within their line of sight, even if they are adjacent to an opposing figure at the time.
So if Human Torch was adjacent to Bullseye who is an enemy, he can still shoot at Sandman (another enemy), who is 10 squares away. So long as he still has LOS. Bullseye however, may not attack anybody with a ranged attack except for Torch.
Clear enough?

Hovering: Hovering characters can attack or be attacked using ranged combat, even if the hovering character occupies a square adjacent to the attacker.

Hey don't be dissin' Robin! Even with this new "rule clarifiaction" he'll still be the man!!! :p
I still think this ruling is double edged. It actually could be real cool for guys like Thor, Doom, Surfer and maybe even *snicker* Iron Man by making them harder to simply pin down. At the same time it potentially makes annoying little shooters like Storm, Livewire and the nearly forgotten Firelord *gasp* and Unique Wasp even more annoying then ever before! And let's not get started on guys like Super Skull and Ronan the Accusser who can do mind boggling things with this ruling... :devious:
Not that I think it will change too many things aroud here for now since heavy stealth teams seem to be all the rage these days. Given enough time though, when people figure out the best way to take apart heavy stealth teams, we'll most likely see the true effects of the ruling positive or negative they may be.
Too bad though that the rule does nothing to help poor old Dormammu! :grin:

And don't forget his 2 damage, leap climb and perrma-sharable (is that even a word?) stealth! So much sweetness for so little points!
And you mentioned earlier that poor old Sinestro will have an even harder time now avoiding the beating his opponents so want to dish out. Yeah gotta agree there but I think Sinestro still lacks the proper figures to support him properly if playing "pure universe."
Heck the Sentinels didn't get any sort of real play time before X-Plosion, maybe Unleashed can give Sinestro the figures you need to build a fully funtcional competitive team around his big yellow self.

Malaking pagbabago nga and talagang tinamaan si Sinestro ng ruling (parang si hawkeye. :(). Ibig sabihin lang din nito, mas importante na talaga ang strategy at tamang placement ng figures mo. Also, tumaas lalo ang velue ng mga may charge at running shot at hypersonic speed.
On another note thouhg, lumakas ng konti si Sandman. Bwahahahaha!!!!

Pero may nakakatawang nangyari kagabi. Kasi habang naglalaro kami ng lotr nina bace at kim, may lumapit na isang player na lotr tmg na naki mingle. So pinagusapan namin kung gaano na kalaki ang player base ng lotr sa pinas at gaano ka feasible magkatourney, etc. Tapos humirit siya, "Sabi nga ni mike yung mga naglalaro daw ng heroclix lilipat sa LOTR". Tapos sabay-sabay kami nina BACE at Kim, "Hindi ha!" Tapos parang nagulat siya. Siyempre, by heart heroclix pa rin kami :grin:
But in any case, according to maraming Legolas LEs ang nag aantay sa NG waiting to be given out for tournaments. So kung may mga interasado diyan mag LOTR, (ehem JV, edmond), subukan na natin! Para hinde mahal, pool tayo ng figs. Ganun sistema namin ni BACE para mura pero maraming choices :)

IMO, mukhang hindi naman masyado mababago ang tactics. Crucial lang talaga ngayon ang placement. Actually nakadagdag ng konti sa game balance yung rule na yun. At least hindi na pwede yung i-tie-up yung big gun ng kalaban tapos bobombahin na lang ng ibang figs mula sa malayo. Kung ayaw mo talaga ng retaliation its either ihaharang mo yung tie-up fig (which means you cannot push to attack the same fig next turn, unless ipupush mo yung nakaharang na fig para umalis sa LOS) or barrier, katulad ng sinabi ni bace. Tie-up figures now are limited to taking potshots and forcing the opponent to breakaway.:)

Dunno what to say about the new rules for flying until I played it. Pero sangayon ako doon tama lang siya realistic naman.
Wala pa budget sa LOTR its either that or the new DC Heroclix expansion and I'd much rather save up for Unleashed anyway. Though I believe its a nice game wala lang ako time maglaro ngayon spending most of my free time resting and playing badminton for my health. Sure ako next week free na ako maglaro either Saturday or Sunday. Bad timing lang yung sa Riverbanks may tickets na kasi ako nabili for LOTR last Sunday pa.
And chicks don't dig playing clicks, its a fact. Tsaka pag naglalaro ng clicks balot na balot, pagbadminton laging naka-shorts. Use your imagination nalang alam ni super-pinoy yun kaya nageenjoy din siya. Hehe.....;)

you can ask some of the store owners if they could replace it for you. Some of them are ok with that.
If not you can send your figure to Wizkids. Haven't done it before but from what I've read they're pretty ok with replacing figures like yours. I'm betting you'll just have to wait a bit longer for the replacement though. Be sure to specify which figure you'd want though (Steel or Manbat).

Well, as for the new rule, talagang handang handa na akong gumawa muli ng Thor team. The question left is when I can actually go to a tourney.
Bace, ilan ang required pax para may le prize? Usually kasi late na nagsisimula yung tourney and lalong late pang natatapos dati. Ngayon ba iba na and usually on time?
Mas konti na lang ang kailangan. Di na kailangan maghintay ng 8 tao.
