First of all,
We are not backing out of anything. I just took into consideration the possibilities of two prob control, plus an outwitter to boot. The outwitter is of no consequence, walang kwenta naman ang stealth niya. Actually kahit ipagsama mo pa si Doom at Surfer sa 400pts, kami isang OWAW lang and Amazo plus some support figs no big deal.
Alam ni HB adavantage masyado ang Marvel sa 500pts mas marami support figs magkakasya. I can play it in my mind already the moves he is going to make. He wouldn't propose it if he doesn't think he is at an advantage. Kahit dalawa pa ang HSS namin kung puro running shot at reroll naman pasok parin lagi.
I plan my battles before I go into war, it is not a sign of cowardice its just tactics. I will not lead my DC team mates into a slaughter.
Pero honestly, HB, 2-0 tayo kaya wag ka nang magyabang. Panis ka parin. Hehe....... Di ako pwede this Sunday and next, plano magTagaytay ng GF ko, next week b-day niya. Sorry. I guess we have to move it for Feb na. This Saturday naman I'll be with my son. Gigil narin ako. Weeknights free ako just tell me when you'd like to have a game or two.
Bace, hindi pa set yung conditions ng army.
I propose 400pts single generics. army should have 120 pts or higher fig in the army. We can push for WionderWoman and Superskrull at least for the centerpiece. Highest point fig is the centerpiece, the first centerpiece to be ko'd, either yours or your opponents, will be given a bonus of 150 pts. Either that or x2 ng points ng centerpiece. Is this okay with you Marvel Maniacs? Us DC Debonnaires will take our chances.
We can iron out the schedules and the conditions along the way since Feb pa naman ang tourney. Kung DC nanalo, we'll get Unleashed booster packs, kung Marvel, magCritical Mass nalang kayo, Marvel naman kayo diba?

Bace, di ko ma-estimate eh... Feb 3 is my mom's b-day. Feb 7 for my sis. Tapos syempre Feb 14 is out of the question... then si Gilbert sa Feb 28 naman b-day. Siguro buwan ng puso kaya dapat walang away and DC and Marvel. :noid: Mag-badminton na lang tayo lahat. :grin:

Kung Theme team JLA lang ang even worth it to look at sa DC. Legion mahina pa. So is Superman TA. Don't mention to me Injustice League and Batman enemy. Marvel you can even use Surfer. As answer, no, I don't think so. Malabo yun mangyari the fight is over even before it began. If we wait for Unleashed to come out maybe Titans and Superman TA will stand a chance. Pwede rin yung Kingdom Come TA Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, Shazam. JSA will have Shazam and Doctor Fate as well as Carter Hall. Titans will have Raven and Cyborg. The third set will be a blast. But as of these two sets the only teams you will see is either Batman TA or JLA which does not account for much.

I just realized na merong mga mid cost figs na may karapatan maging champion tulad ni Spidey, Batman, Cap, at Logan. Ano kayang rule ang pwedeng gawin for this? Watcha guys think?

Siguro para masaya, dalawang version ang tournament natin. Isang 400 wherein the champion must be 100+pts saka isang 300 para pwedeng champion sina spidey, cap, and company, yun bang hindi sila ma-oovershadow ng teammates nila.

Ang alam ko yes you can l/c across outdoor blocking terrain terrain. But they can't stop on top of outdoor blocking terrain(i.e. barriers)

Tama si Javey.
Dati ng ganon yung rule. Ignores the effects of terrain on movement. Puwede rin tumigil on outdoor blocking terrain. Ang di lang puwede, tumigil on top of barriers created in outdoor maps.
clear enough?
Kung indoor, ibang usapan na yan. blocking terrain kung indoor is presumed to rise all the way to the "ceiling". So walang makakaraan through this except for figures with phasing.

Starting values are 12,13,17,5 and 10. Those are for movement, attack, defense, damage and range respectively. minimum defense is 16, minimum attack is 9, minimum damage is 3

Yup. What you heard is true. L/C can now move across the C/A and the BRP. Unlike before, you can also do an O/XL or a A/S Ho/LE.

Goldeeh, who are you anyway? You're new here in HC Realms and you treat this forum as if you are an oldie. I doubt anybody will ever welcome you in any play area you play in. We don't even care if you collect every fig you got your hands on! Can anyone help me figure this out?
Suppose i was in an outdoor map and nightiwing was on top of a building. Avalanche on the other hand is sitting 4 squares away from the building on the ground and makes a barrier surrounding himself. My question is...can figures on elevated terrain see through barrier on outdoor maps?
and can a soaring fig go through barriers in outdoor?

Pagusapan natin kung gusto mo OWAW gamitin mo. Malamang Amazo ang sa akin. Masarap yan walang kwenta mga Black Panther kay Owaw! Famous mind game tactics:
GatX, diba nagatatanong ka nung isang araw ng mga strategy na pwedeng gamitin? Well aside from strategy, we all know that heroclix is also a mind game. I will illustrate here some famous mind game tactics that past and present tourney champs have used on their opponents:
1) The Don Feint
Execution: A personal favorite of mine which was popularized by Don otherwise known as partyboy. The tactic involves a bit of acting. Whenever Don was in a position to do massive damage or a crucial move that will turn the tide of the game, he would usually whine that he was going to die. He would usually say things like, "Sh*t! Talo nako!" or "Sige na igalaw mo, talo nanaman ako eh".
Objective: This puts the opposing player on the aggressive. Instead of thinking how to defend on a possible killer move from Don, the player starts thinking, "Shet, may nakita si Don na galaw na mayayari siya, kelan ko hanapin yun". So in effect, Don's feint veers the attention away from Don's potential killer move. The player starts getting offensive when in fact the best move at that point is to be defensive. Ilan beses nako nayari dito.
2) The Concon Stall
Execution: Popularized by the famous Concon. The tactic is simple. When its your turn, do absolutely nothing for the next 10 minutes.
Objective: If the match is time-based, then this tactic is illegal, and as an opposing player you must be brave enough to tell the judge of the illegal move. However, if the match is round based, the waiting can do a lot of damage to the opposing player's psyche. The waiting can either bore you or make you anxious. You start questioning some of your previous moves and next moves which should be routine in the first place. You start getting giddy when you see everyone finished with their matches while you are just ending your third round! A truly devastating psychological tactic especially when executed by the master himself.
3) The Bigotilyo
Execution: Do not shave your moustache. Popularized by Ralph.
Objective: This basically distracts you from the game. You start thinking, "Ilan taon na kaya to? Para kasing edad na niya ang erpat ko ha....". Perfectly executed by the former champ with successful results!

Very good HB. PAWTA galing mo men! Perfectly explained and executed. I think the worse move is the Con Con stall. I've experienced it myself and this move hurts. One problem is that the opposing player does not know that it is actually very oppressive! The only way to counter this is to do the Don Feint. Tell your opponent to hurry up because you're going to lose anyway on whatever it is he is going to do, then bam! He'll make a wrong move.

2) Fig must be highest costing fig in the army
3) Fig must not appear in the army of another player. This makes your champion unique to you.

The Rape- the – newbie tactic was actually a tactic of old. It was introduced by a certain Herri_bols. The ancient one(HB) actually searches for new blood on tourneys…. These players are targeted by means of their age. The Age group ranges from 7-14 years old. Once the Ancient one spots his prey, he acts as a helping hand to these youths and then….BHAM. you have just been busted by the Newbie- rapist.
I myself have experienced this and it is not a pretty sight….It started with one doombot ….then it was followed by a vet doom.
May this serve as a warning to everyone.

Si Mon and JV went at it in an initial skirmish. Mon went in using Human Torch, Warren Worthington, and Venom, while JV had Batman, Hawk and Atom on his team. Marvel took out Bats in one fell swoop after the Dark Knight tripped on his own cape. DC had a chance at turning the tide but sadly, it was too little, too late.
Rules for Clixmageddon are being finalized as I type this. I'll be posting them soon!

Thanks for the welcome back game.
For the record, talagang super mas maganda na ang games these days. It's not the same as before when I last played.
Saturday's game was great! Everyone who played was extremely nice to a "newbie" like me. :)
Kung hindi ng oras si CM Hulk, siguradong todas na si Thor. Talagang the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets. Can't believe it! Pati sa clix hindi pa rin matalo ni Thor si Hulk!!! :disappoin (di makita ni Thor kasi pinagkasya yung mukha nya sa unahan ng bazooka ni Hulk) :p
The best part is seeing you guys and playing again. Certainly, I'll never want to "play to win" and do cheesy tactics against these guys. Bace, Eliot, GatX and his brother were all so much into it for the fun of the game and never once into the "oh nagalaw mo na so hindi na pwede take back. Sorry talo ka na" kind of talk. Even in the midst of extremely bad rolls, (His She-Hulk and Thor kept missing my Black Panther and Moon Knight) Eliot only had loads of laughs and I certainly respect that kind of attitude.
Thanks to BUDZ for being a great and kind judge!
In the end, hero clix is played by such good guys after all. It's for this very reason that I like the game.

I hope Duh-ri didn't make much of a mess in ATC. NGPhil/Bace/BUDZ/VH, dapat may rule talaga tayo no timed per round. It would be really unfair to players who round up their rounds fast then take it slow from other players. I mean, the only way I can get away from the Con-Con move is to keep on trash talking for him to move, and that's not me! Please, please do something about it. Can we like, make a tourney wherein slow players only play? Maybe we can do a 12 hour event for four rounds for these people? What do you think?
Congrats Eliot for kicking @ss! By the way, Ronald M. will join DC team, you know, the person who got the number one spot on our nationals? I would guess that Dave will take Marvel. Let's schedule this sometime late Feb or early March, unless you guys would like to sched it after so we'll get more top guns to fight with.

Edmond, ok yung mga spoilers na yan since that should pave the way for comic-based theme teams. I mean, Spiderman is an Avenger. Why can't I use him in my Avengers theme team? It's not nice that he's disqualified only because he doesn't have the Avengers TA.
Bace, if people get to be more aware of comics, then maybe we can go do that na? Rules would be any one can be on a team where they teamed-up in a comic. Thor, Beta Ray Bill, and V Paramedic (pseudo Jane Foster) can form 300pts and be considered legal. (though in strict comic sense, it should be Sif instead of Jane) :p
But in cases like Scarlet Witch, her rookie cannot be an Avenger. Her E version can be either Avenger or Brotherhood. Her V is strictly Avenger. Figs with no TA are flexible. (Yay! Avengers will be able to use E Black Panther. So will the FF)

Guys, here's a scoop on what Kingdom Come is all about just incase you guys are asking what's so special about this book that made it as a TA and with alternate versions of each of our favorite heroes. Kingdom Come is written by Mark Waid and drew by Alex Ross. Those unfamiliar with his work, just check out JLA : Liberty and Justice. The art all throughout the book is painted and it is stunning from beginning to end. The attention to detail is so intense that you can see the facial expressions of each hero or heroine in every page! Go get it if you still haven?t seen it because I kid you not, it is one of the best read you?ll ever get.
The timeline is sometime in the future wherein heroes are no longer considered as heroes but as metahuman, human beings with super powers beyond mortal men. These metahumans fight for the sake of fighting, and have no regrad for human life. The heroes of old, Superman, Wonderwoman, Batman, Robin, Green Lantern, Flash, etc. have either retired or secluded themselves to their territories. Our tale starts when Wesley Dodds, once known as Hourman, a hero who can see pass certain futures, is dying of old age. In his dying breath, he passed these visions to a pastor friend of his (forgot his name), who is with him in his deathbed. The visions heralded Armageddon, the end to all that is. Spectre visited the pastor and spoke to him about vengeance for the evil that was to happen, for all of Spectre?s powers he cannot pinpoint who or what is the final act but he will need the pastor as a conduit to the future to see who is responsible for this ultimate evil.
A great evil was also made at sometime around this point, when Magog, a new age super hero, was trying to apprehend Parasite. Although Parasite was already surrendering, Magog and his team continued to pursue and do battle. Tired, wounded and afraid, the Parasite lashed out one last time, tearing open Captain Atom, releasing the built up nuclear energy inside of him. This action laid waste to Kansas, leaving this State a nuclear wasteland and killing off cattle, flocks and farmlands, food became scarce because of his actions and he forced to go on hiding. Wonder Woman, angered by Magog?s action, came back to the Fortress of Solitude to inform Superman of the great evil that was done. Superman was hesitant to return to the world that rejected him, but after seeing the state of the world, wherein metahumans vie for power and saving lives is no longer important, he returned and faced these new age metahumans, determined to change the outlook of the world.
With Superman?s return so does the other heroes who hid themselves from the world, Wonder Woman, Robin, Power Girl, Green Lantern, The Flash, The Ray, heroes of old that has come back to change the face of the Earth, to right the wrongs and the utter chaos that is happening all over the globe. Together, they once again formed The Justice League of America.

Anyway the "ATC fiasco" sounds a lot worse than it actually was. If anyone really, really, really wants the *juicy*, *gritty* details feel free to ask the next time you run into me in person. Medyo personal na itong sasabihin ko, pero nanalo ang nanay ko sa sweepstakes at ngayon eh nasa mabuti na kaming ayos. Ako'y nakapagtapos na ng Animal Husbandry sa UP Los Banos at kasalukuyang nagtratrabaho sa Department of Agrarian Reform. Sa aking spare times, ako ay nangongolekta ng Heroclix. Ako ay nagpupunta sa karamihan ng mga gig ninyo sa Freedom Bar sa Anonas, ngunit lagi akong nihihiyang lumapit. Hi. Ako ulit. Goldeeh, ito lang ang masasabi ko sa iyo. You make my day a terrible terrible thing to say. Kung ayaw mo, wag mo. I wont patol to you. So dont wori, be happy.
Ngayong nailabas ko na ang sama ng loob ko, balik ako sa paghanga ko kay HB. Nakalimutan kong banggitin kagabi sa aking sulat na sobra akong nabilib nang siya'y pinanood ko kagabi sa Xtended Play. Sayang lang at na-kritikal mis yung una niyang galaw laban kay Edmond sa DC vs Marvel na laban nila. Malakas talaga yang Dr. Doom mo. Kaso pag minamalas eh talagang minamalas. Hindi naman tournament ang laban kaya maski dalawang beses ka natalo eh ayos lang. Warm up lang naman yan. Pasalamat ka na lang siguro na hindi ginamit ni Edmond yung Amazo niya.
Sayang din at hindi ka nakasali nung linggo sa marikina sa tournament dahil nahuli ka. Pero ayos lang yun. Astig naman yung interbyu niyo sa NU 107. Da best talaga ang banda niyo Twisted Halo.
Hanggang sa muli, HB. Naghahanap pa ako ng lakas-loob magpakilala. Mahirap talaga kasi lapitan ang mga Rock Star.
Oo nga pala, ako yung nakaputing t-shirt sa Xtended Play na nasa likod ni Edmond. Pero palipat lipat ako ng pwesto. Ayoko kasing mahalatang pinanonood kita.

Plans for TeleMax Jr. is still pending approval. Hindi pa pumapayag yung finance officer (me) kasi malaki pa ang expenses ngayon sa heroclix. The CEO (wife) is dreaming of ways to generate funds or divert heroclix funds into milk and diaper funds soon though. :p
Okay, so finance should approve of the budget first before anything should happen. Hmmm...... buti nalang the CEO doesn't kick you out of the bed for too much diverted funds. :)

I agree with you. Kailangan paghandaan parin ang future ng bata. Madali gumawa pero mahirap magpalaki. Ako nga, before akong bumili ng heroclix tinitignan ko muna ang budget. :)

Dapat raw magkaroon na agad ng anak. At least 1 agad then plan the rest daw.
Well, I certainly see the wisdom in that but I'd like to enjoy being with my wife lang muna for at least a year before we have a kid. That way, at least we had time to really get to know each other much better. We've been together for 10 years already before getting married. 1 more year isn't going to kill me. :)
I really hope it'll be a boy or all my comics, marvel legends, marvel cards, and heroclix collection may go to waste. I'd hate to see the day I'd be spending money for *cough* Barbie *cough* and *ugh* lutu-lutuan playsets *yeesh*
Edmond, I used to play badminton as a kid. That was along with frisbees and the usual patintero, touch-taya games. These days, my friends play billiards so I just tag along with it. I play billiards as well as I play clix. (and that means "lakas tira - lakas chamba" lang.

I don't know about you guys but my excuse for buying clix and comics is because I'll leave it as a "heritage" for my son. Of course he is 4 years old and by the time he becomes 14, well, we don't know if this game is still around. It ain't Magic you know.

Edmond, add to that "heritage" pa is that these things can actually go up in price. Look at Ultimate Spidey #1. Only a few years old and worth $$$ na. Nagulat ako kung nakita ko sa US comic stores during my honeymoon.
Well, may Voltes V pa si Gilbert which is in good condition and that sells for about P20k these days right?
Well, at least it's not like we're buying cars and computers... these things go down in price as they break down. (of course iba na yung vintage cars which are kept in perfect shape by collectors)
The best reasoning though, is that mabuti na at ito ang "bisyo" kaysa sa mambabae, mag-drugs o magsugal. :)
Clix is good for making us happy with collecting and exercises our minds for strategy. Pangpagaling pa sa math and statistics! What more can you ask for from a "bisyo"? ;)

To answer your question about not having Wizkids Day anymore.
We can't do it anymore under the new system, with weekly in store tournaments. We simply don't have the ability to organize out of the online stucture, or for that matter, we don't have access to the super High Level LE's to give away for those events anymore.
Rest assured we are still planning major events for Wizkids in the future, once I get my hands on more high level LE's that are not normally available for in store events. Something na sasadyain ng mga tao para maglaro!

Something happened last night in NG ATC which I think warrants your attention. Apparently, just across NG is a golf shop which has this small booth that allows customers to test drive golf clubs. In that booth there is supposed to be a safety net that catches the golf balls. However last night, when I was in NG ATC with a friend, one of the golf balls ricocheted off somewhere and hit my friend squarely in the back. My friend, who also happens to be an NG patron, was extremely furious at this incident. He was ready to sue the golf shop and already contacted his lawyer. Good thing there was no serious injury and the swinger aptly apologized.
The employee manning the place already told us that it was the second time that had happened to NG. I am telling this to you now as a concerned patron because there may come a time when the golf ball actually shatters your glass displays or even hits a player squarely in the head. Its going to be a big issue when that happens. This golf shop must be disallowed to give trial swings to their customers.
That's it! Just wanted you to know cause this is a danger to both us, the customers, and you, the shop owner. Thanks for reading!

Same 400 pt armies but your army will drafted by the players and iba ang gagamit unless you picked your own name. Pero sa finals you have to use your army so this will ensure that nobody is going to use lousy figs kasi kung umabot siya sa finals, matatalo din siya. What do you guys think? Same rules same everything, but we put our name on a piece of paper and pick. Whoever pick the player's name will play his army. Cool huh? But suggestion lang dapat may sticker with his name sa ilalim ng figs.

Edmond, that's kinda like the "play my team" scenario where carp figs or extreme skill pieces will be used for the team. I'm not sure how that appeals to the players.
Actually, the reason you have to use a good team is because when you reach the finals, you have to use your team. If you made a ####py team, then you wouldn't last long against a good team, right? The reason why we excercise this is to see past the boundaries of our team making and try teams that others formed. The swap is made every game not just once at the start. Whether you win or lose with the team you played, you will swap it off at the beginning of your next game.

Well, It's nice to see DC bringing in some strong pieces naman... it's about time. Kung matalo man Marvel, it's because inantok na sila sa pag-lalaban sa mga carpy DC teams of today. Bring it on!
