Gusto ninyo ng baduy na super hero movie...
Noong early 90's may local movie na ang pangalan ay BATMAN EN ROBIN. Si Joey De Leon si Batman, si Kimpee De Leon si Robin, si Rene Requiestas si Joker, at si Panchito si Penguin. May costumes na may kotse pa! Tapos may Dance troop pa sa ending ng movie.
Tapos may movie pa si Vic Soto na Parang KID FLash yun costume. Hindi ito Lastik Man...

Then in Foreign films, I think CATWOMAN is the worst. Do I need to explain?

actually, i chanced upon an old black and white film sa pinoy channel. 1950s ata yun. Batman en Robin! si dolphy ang bida (sya nga ba si batman o si robin? di ko na maalala). hehehe.
as for the worst superhero flick, i'd still have to go for Batman & Robin, IF ONLY for the effect it had on the superhero franchise. pucha naman, ilang years after that before the next good superhero movie was made. and the revival was a gradual, slow process, patikim tikim lang, staring from blade and then the first xmen movie. But Batman and Robin remains to be considered the superhero franchise killer. damn you Mr. Freeeeze. hehehehe.
as for the other ones (cap america, punisher, justice league [yup napanud ko one dreary and unfortunate night]) i considered them B-films at the most, kaya di ko talaga sineryoso. hehe.
as for the similarities between spidey 2 and superman 2, yup, definitely a pattern there. heroine starts to doubt secret identity. she discovers it. losing powers, and then regaining it coz of a threat. yun nga lang, walang "super-kiss" si spidey that can wipe the memory of the girl away. mwehehehe. (oo nga, bakit hindi sinama yung super-kiss na yun sa powers ni superman sa superdickery.com?)

Captain america the movie...sigh...really one of the worst :( ....yet i watched it several times then hoping to like it more if i watched it often. It was just so lame when he had to pretend to vomit to ditch a chick. :p As a cap fan naman: in defense of that movie...is that it had a pretty good Theme song: "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns and Roses. Other than that, you just have to think that it was a B movie to even accept it. ( Hell, the TV series was even better that that!!! )
Anyway, for the tourney tonite...Generics allowed up to 3!!! But as per the support rule(healing): the NEW Rules Apply!!! Less 2 sa support...min of 1

panget na superhero films? as a batman fan i agree with you guys sa batman and robin. ever seen trial of the incredible hulk? guest appearance pa si daredevil, and i'm a daredevil fanatic pa naman, sobrang wala akong mai-comment sa movie na yun! i saw captain america when i was in grade school and from what i can remember di nga siya maganda. i also saw before in hbo yung nick fury ba yun, si david hasselhoff pa nga bida, di rin nakakatuwa. yung latest hulk i didn't find it good either.

hindi ko alam baket pero nagandahan ako sa punisher, pati friend ko, natuwa lang tlga ako sa fight scene nya with Diesel (kevin nash) look alike hehe
may man-thing daw na movie, may nakapanud na ba? feeling ko nasa isa un sa pnka panget.

Hey... just saw Superman Returns this morning.... I give it a B. Serious yan ah. It's a good movie given if you don't have extremely high expectations and well, I was already prepared with the plot since I read some spoilers from the net. That's where I'm coming from.
Can't help but think of Christopher Reeve though... He still is the best in my opinion. Routh is good but is not a Chris Reeve. (of course he isn't, he's Routh!) And... if I were part of the editing team... I certainly would have made changes to some of the script/plot to make it better than a B.
Now.. just saw that Spidey trailer.... can't wait!!!!! Looks like an B+ to me already. Hope it lives up to be an A.

di ako sure dito ecchs. it says "cannot be used when using an object as a weapon" which is different from using the power to destroy objects. I think what this says is that di pwede i combine ang RCE/CCE with the bonus damage from objects. example si bane who has base 3 damage, super strength and CCE on the same click. the limitation under the PAC will prohibit bane from using the object and CCE at the same time to bring up his damage dealt to 7 (or six depending on the type of object he uses).
..nicky, i wasn't referring to using objects as weapon. it;s just that in ICONS rules, pwedeng gamitin ang cce/rce to destroy walls/blocking terrain/objects dahil walang nakalagay na restriction. Now, malinaw na para lang sa character ang ganitong powers. so kung si bane may super strength and 2 damage na may CCE, pwede syang gumamit ng object at ihampas sa wall para masira. Now, kung wala syang dalang object, he cannot use CCE para maging enough yung damage nya to break the wall kasi CCE pang character na lang. Went to the judges' forum and Hair 10 admitted na suppose to be hindi ganito ang intention pero hindi na nila ifa-FAQ to change ulit katulad ng dati. so, it'll stay for now, as in pang-character lang ang CCE/RCE. tama din naman kasi you don't usually use expertise in damaging walls. mas ginagamit ni bullseye, for example, his RCE for shooting somebody right between the eyes, di ba? hehehe...................

well, talagang olats nga mga pinoy superhero movies. and aminin man natin o hindi, nakitambling at nakilipad din tayo sometime ago (for some a loooong time ago kagaya nina sensei conrad at padritong naj :laugh: ) sa mga kababawang pinoy superheroes
mikey, thanks sa teaser ng spiderman3! lupet! now with ghost rider and spidey3 i believe we have something really good to look forward to.
i'll check out superman later. i don't have much to expect, sabi nga kanya-kanyang trip yan. kagaya ni sensei conrad na puro bata ang gusto diba? everyone agree to that? :p

..nicky, i wasn't referring to using objects as weapon. it;s just that in ICONS rules, pwedeng gamitin ang cce/rce to destroy walls/blocking terrain/objects dahil walang nakalagay na restriction. Now, malinaw na para lang sa character ang ganitong powers. so kung si bane may super strength and 2 damage na may CCE, pwede syang gumamit ng object at ihampas sa wall para masira. Now, kung wala syang dalang object, he cannot use CCE para maging enough yung damage nya to break the wall kasi CCE pang character na lang. Went to the judges' forum and Hair 10 admitted na suppose to be hindi ganito ang intention pero hindi na nila ifa-FAQ to change ulit katulad ng dati. so, it'll stay for now, as in pang-character lang ang CCE/RCE. tama din naman kasi you don't usually use expertise in damaging walls. mas ginagamit ni bullseye, for example, his RCE for shooting somebody right between the eyes, di ba? hehehe...................

yup, they will revert back to previous ruling. hindi na ma-reretain ng wildcards yung na-copy nila after the end of the turn na na-KO yung pinagkopyahan nya.................

if there's one thing good about the delay in the arrival of sinister here in our little archipelago, it's that we can check out the experiences of our clix brethren abroad in their booster/brick/case purchases.
the consensus is that brick distribution is bad. while case distribution is unchanged from CD, the bricks are loaded daw with particular REVs of the set. for example, one brick will have only daredevil and bullseye as the rares, another brick will have only radioactive man and kraven. the same thing goes daw for commons and uncommons.
one brick pa lang daw madami ka nang doble. one guy bought a brick and out of the 48 figs, 18 were doubles (not just the same character, but same rank as well).
so, anong gagawin natin ngayon? venom aside, would it still be wise to buy it by brick?

I've been reading other players' complaints about their brick pulls. IMHO, mas sulit pa rin talaga if you get a case na lang, medyo magastos nga kung titingnan sa una pero you get to have the full set (worst case na siguro kung may kulang ka 1 or 2 figs/cards) kesa sumugal sa brick, lalo with all the bad feedback I've been reading. If you can afford it, kuha ka na lang ng isang extra brick for the sake of getting venom (siguro naman you'll get to sell some extra stuff from your case). Yun nga lang, wala kasi maituturing na talagang power figure sa set na'to so you'l think twice din if you really want a case. Ako I'm planning talaga to get a case, hopefully get to have some doubles of good figs, make a little trade/cash, tapos saka na lang ako kukuha ng brick for venom. If worse comes to worst naman there's always eBay/online stores diba? ;)

Maganda ang point mo, well ako balak ko bumiling brick for venom kaso sobrang panget ng feed back pati easily breakable figs so nakakahinayang gumasta hehe can't afford naman ako with case. pero mukang ok yan ebay ha? pano ba mag ebay?

hmmm.. there's a complaint in 1 thread na he bought 4 boosters 2 have the exact same contents crappy figs pa daw wala vet or unique, panu kaya pag sa tourney picks natin ganun lumabas? if ganun sana manlang vet or unique hehe
Actually the best option you guys can have is do a case split, example 4 tyo mag split ng isang case. total number of uniques divided by 4, as for who gets which uniques madali lng naman mag usap e, as for the other figs since maraming dupes madali na ren mag hati.

mukha ngang sablay ung character distribution ng sinister, ang mga masaya lang e ung mga nagcase... tama ung suggestion ni patrick, since character heavy ung mga bricks. Ang weird pa kase ung commons like hydra and shield e mga 6 or less sa mga case/bricks, e un nga ung medyo matino na makuha as dupes, aside from multiple man na mas konti pa ang appearance sa cases/bricks..

Hey... kita ko yung ultimate clix player game nyo... I'm no longer an expert on the game but here's my thoughts...
If I were a POM, these might be my options:
1. Use a big fig (sentinel, sinestro, or who else can) to capture my single enemy. Game over. Worse is... all players would use just these guys to escape being captured.
2. One may think of supercharging a super fig... but I may play the other way around and use a pog or probably U Abbey Chase to have stealth, super senses, DG TA, and pile on whatever Protected feats I can. I probably won't even have to attack as the game will take so long and time will be over and guess who has the lower point army build?
Well, unless the POMs are non-cheese players who don't exploit the obvious HSS, tbolts to mystics or FF with alternate FF TA, double perplex + ICWO, or whatever other old Firelord-like tactics are done... then this probably wouldn't be an issue.
I still don't think having multiple protected is a good idea. It'll delay the game a lot.
Anyway, a thought that came to me is to use a fig with regeneration as auto regen can help as well as nanobots as they can really swing the game in your favor in a match filled with protected feats.
Would we ever see Ultimate Hulk used? *sigh*
My suggestions?
- Put in a minimum point requirement for the "champ" fig.
- Capture is not allowed. But use Sentinel or Sinestro if you want. (Hmm... multi-attack with multiple ICWOs and ouch... but oh... yeah.. protected.. but I can push and push and BWAHAHAHA... hmmmm)
- Obvious stalling will result to staller being DQ'ed
.. what else.... uhh... POM who uses Thor should win the game. :grin:

I'm pretty curious too! ;) So from this week onwards, I'll be posting Road to POM to keep everyone updated on the current POM standings and how the top players of the month got there. Watch out every sunday or monday for the POM standings.
Joel created a new traditional big event called "Ultimate Player" that will feature POM's and judges. I think I can play Ben Urich for Philippine clix and give you guys a good perspective of what it takes to be a POM.

congrats to cons who won yesterday's tourney at NG manila. It was another spectacular victory for our friendly neighborhood child molester ;) who used a jeanne-marie beaubier/john walker/AW spidey combo.
five players also attended (cons, knyt, alvin, charlon and myself). and we all had fun too.
the format was nice. it allowed us to get quite creative with our teams. charlon used a pure F4 LE team with franklin and herbie pogs. that shared 19 defense was pretty intimadating. praise the dice gods for favoring me that particular match (3 critical hits!). hehe.

First of all, congrats nicky for winning last saturday and hitting charlon's "le thing" 3 times!!! ;) you truly are one of the top players of heroclix.
Anyway,as per the August 12,2006 game...may i suggest din sana that the Previous "All Around POM's" and "POM's per Venue" since last 2004 be included in the "Ultimate Player" format like Nicky, Chalon, Mindreader, Chong, Mikey, Marco, Zavier and Mike Chong etc. I mean, how can you hold a Grand Tourney without inviting these top players? Just my humble suggestion Sir Joel :classic: (i'm still undecided yet on playin' then kasi b'day nung gf ko nun eh...hehehhe: if ever pa to tourney ko rin ung slot ko bro's)

SUGGESTION:
1. Magkaroon ng Elimination Round. Lahat pwedeng sumali. After 3 games kukunin ang top 5 or Top 4.
2. Ang mga POMs and Judges ay automatically seeded na sa Quarterfinal Round. top 4 player will advance to final round.
3. Final round, the 4 remaining player will slug-it-out, parang matira matibay. Ang mananalo, sya ang magiging "Ultimate Heroclix Player" :cool:

i know all of you guys really want to join this event and your concerns are understandable.
but according to our sponsor, he created this "special tournament" to acknowledge or "give back something" to these players and judges who are showing extra effort in supporting the game, especially those who eventually became POMs.
.....it's just a way for Mr. Eliotblacknight to express his gratitude to these guys.
however, there are still opportunities for you to be "in the list" by considering the ff. options:
1. be this July's POM
2. join and be the winner in conrad's qualifying tourney this July at NG G2
3. join and be the winner in my qualifying tourney this July at NG ATC

The tourney for my replacement in the UHP will be settled in the octagon errr...tourney next, next wednesday!!! The format will be simple then: 400pts, Restricted, Old rules pre-sinister apply till further notice. FC allowed bt not BFCs, Dupes up to 3 allowed except Nova Blast and Protected.

About my secret "earthquake" roll? well, it's been happenin' to me all week(the first roll critical misses that is)...all i had to do was to simply roll without usin' probability and the rest as they say is history.:laugh: ...(it also helped that the incentive for that first roll earthquake bash was an Oracle U hehhehe;) ).

Naj makes an appearance with a wednesday win in NG G2.. Conrad put up a close to normal heroclix game and it saw some pretty powerful combos. Naj brings out the current godlike fig in KC Flash with KC red robin as support and got the big W. Joel's LAMP and the only guy who used multiples of the same attack pieces came just a lil short of a victory. KC Flash is very difficult to KO and with all the feats you can put on him.. this is the fig that deserves the tag Heroclix god(in 300-400 only).. Positioning is a prereq to run and beat a KC flash team.. Congrats to Naj for a great win.:cool:

I didnt think i'd be doing myself here..:rolleyes: But here goes.. It was a great sunday in ATC.. the prize was a killer, lotz of people, JB celebrating his birthday with the clix people, and everyone was in a great mood. My team was all set but the last minute change of the format forced all of us to change teams. The twist was utterly devastating.. CROSSWINDS and EARTHQUAKE!!!( and the way people were rolling that day.. jeez.. NO ONE was saved) There was a saving grace though.. senses could save you and other defense abilities still worked in spite of earthquake(special ruling for this format only).. of course everyone had a fig with super senses so it came down to the roll. Marco was definitely the guy to beat. He lost the last round though (the guy he fought had vet Hawkeye(FF) with nanobots) and I just came up on points. Everyone had great teams.. (i used a vet hawkeye (FF) though:eek: ) But everything in the first and last round was #### after the twist. Everyone had fun and comaraderie was definitely there.. Pizza was good too.. Tnx to Juberbay for the great opportunity!

Not verbatim but i think you got the gist. Anyone has a chance to win against any player given the right opportunity. But its ok to feel intimidated against him though.. Magaling kc e. Something Joel said too.. "ala din sa swerte yan.. kung panalo ka.. panalo ka" or something like that.:p

Naj makes an appearance with a wednesday win in NG G2.. Conrad put up a close to normal heroclix game and it saw some pretty powerful combos. Naj brings out the current godlike fig in KC Flash with KC red robin as support and got the big W. Joel's LAMP and the only guy who used multiples of the same attack pieces came just a lil short of a victory. KC Flash is very difficult to KO and with all the feats you can put on him.. this is the fig that deserves the tag Heroclix god(in 300-400 only).. Positioning is a prereq to run and beat a KC flash team.. Congrats to Naj for a great win.:cool:

I didnt think i'd be doing myself here..:rolleyes: But here goes.. It was a great sunday in ATC.. the prize was a killer, lotz of people, JB celebrating his birthday with the clix people, and everyone was in a great mood. My team was all set but the last minute change of the format forced all of us to change teams. The twist was utterly devastating.. CROSSWINDS and EARTHQUAKE!!!( and the way people were rolling that day.. jeez.. NO ONE was saved) There was a saving grace though.. senses could save you and other defense abilities still worked in spite of earthquake(special ruling for this format only).. of course everyone had a fig with super senses so it came down to the roll. Marco was definitely the guy to beat. He lost the last round though (the guy he fought had vet Hawkeye(FF) with nanobots) and I just came up on points. Everyone had great teams.. (i used a vet hawkeye (FF) though:eek: ) But everything in the first and last round was #### after the twist. Everyone had fun and comaraderie was definitely there.. Pizza was good too.. Tnx to Juberbay for the great opportunity!

Color Game
- 400 points open restricted (pre-sinister retirement, but I'll be playing a la post sinister retirement hehe)
- open feats/BFCs (this should actually be considered as a default rule. It IS part of the game...)
- figures in your team should share a common color on all their starting clix (i.e. all should have a light blue colored superpower on theri first clix like Barrier, Mind Control, Incap, etc.)
Guys, it would probably be a good idea for someone to request a Philippines Player Group, so that you can ogranize events and discussion a little easier. Also, if you group ends up active, I can create a private calendar fo ryou to post events and keep track of who's attending which event.

WOW!! seryoso?? masterpiece fig?? grbe a... talagang swerte talaga pag mga una pa lang a.. i remember my first booster, clobberin' time tapos si super skrull agad nakuha ko wala lang, pero shempre si blob ung mas nanotice ko hehe sana nga maglaro sya, para makakita ako ng MASTERPIECE fig bago ako mamatay @_@

Anyway, directed kay sexy Marco, nagcross na ren sa utak ko yang 'discussion' na yan, yung the whole ironman thing. Actually, sa issue 175 ng wizard parang may mga spoiler, may magwawala raw, arrested, new team, new team members, etc. pero beside the point na yun. Hindi ko lang nga maalala kung baket naisip ko na si Ironman yung medyo behind this civil war thing, feeling ko lang e magiging kalaban sya (sana), tapos e gagawa sya ng Avengers na version nya, naka armor lahat :) hmm wala lang, iron america, iron thor, iron giant, etc. OK tama na, masyado nako nagimbento muwahahaha

- Arthur proved to the players that his team is the most expensive of them all, with 3 figs bearing bronze rings. Plus he's making a statement that he has the balls to bring a themed team to the table. The intimidation factor was successful, with double barriers and the nondropping ATK values, really a well-crafted team, but luck wasn't on his side that night. The dice and the map just wasn't cooperating with the PIMPman's army.

Yung civil war, alam ko na ending nyan. babalik bigla si scarlet witch, tapos sasabihin nya "no more iron man". ayun. balik ulit lahat sa dati. hehehe.
but seriously, i already enjoy the storyline of civil war so far, and with the spidey thing in issue 2, they already rocked the marvel universe. but if these coincidences and conspiracies turn out to be true, wow, all the better. civil war will turn out more crazy and more significant than it already is. (wag lang sana may retcon sa dulo. hay.)
