As we've announced previously, this summer WizKids is improving the packout of HeroClix boosters, bricks, and cases. Here's some more detail:

Figures in each booster will be drawn from among the 60 figures in the set, which is broken into four levels of rarity (indicated by the color of the tab behind the set symbol on the figure’s base):

16 Common figures (white rarity tabs)
16 Uncommon figures (green rarity tabs)
16 Rare figures (silver rarity tabs)
12 Super-Rare figures (gold rarity tabs)

Five figures from the set will be packed into each booster. A booster will contain the following number of figures from each level of rarity:

1-3 Commons
1-2 Uncommons
1 Rare

1 in 3 boosters will contain a Super-Rare figure, replacing one of the Common figures in the booster. Though it's possible to get 3 Common figures in a booster, a lucky pull will net you 1 Super-Rare figure, 1 Rare figure, 2 Uncommon figures, and only 1 Common! With the new colored rarity tabs, it will be simple to see what you’ve pulled out of a booster, and much easier to make equitable trades with your friends as you work to collect the entire set!

Each booster will also contain 5 character cards, 1 matching each character in the booster, and 1 card element (a bystander token, a feat, a battlefield condition, or a special object.)

As always, you can buy boosters individually, or you can buy a brick of 10 boosters to participate in the HeroClix Buy it by the Brick program and send away for a special figure. Two bricks will be packed into a case, for a total of 20 boosters per case.Here you go art. Umasa na lang tayo na walang super-super rare. Well hindi natin malalaman till Avengers. Hehe.

the super rares are the new terms or counterparts for the uniques rarity level from the previous expansions.

iba dito yung ultra rares (gold ring and name prints) like the ones from mayhem and fantastic forces which are rarer than uniques back then.

I don't even have an idea of how spectre plays but I've seen a BOXED FIG at a hobby retailer near La Immaculada beside Pasig Church. I used to play magic:TG there. I haven't asked it's price though.

Oh spectre's fun, what's interesting is that when you hit him he creates those little angry spirit bystander tokens and them critters can do actions as free actions. plus Angry Spirits cannot be targeted by Incap, Mind Control, Support, or any effects similar.

Black Panther's stats are nice, but I really hate the sculpt. It reminds me way too much of Danger Room Beast, even though it's a good sculpt by itself. Maybe if I never saw DR Beast, I'd think differently.

My first impressions of Ledger's Joker is similar to Frank Miller's depiction of Joker in The Dark Knight Returns, which is a stockier, built Joker that still has the make-up, but has the grim image of a hardened killer.

It seems appropriate, as the new movie is going to be called The Dark Knight.

I'd prefer Depp as Riddler, but that's just me.

Please be there at NG galeria by 11am, tourney proper starts at 1pm. Latecomers will suffer BYE LOSS regardless of the situation. Please be there early since mag oopen pa tyo ng boosters at gagawa pa kayo ng teams nyo. May time limit ang paggawa ng teams so please come very well prepared. Pag submit ng 200pt team nyo isabay nyo na lahat ng cards at figures at pati bayad at isubmit na ren ang list nyo.

Taskmaster is very tricky. Mejo expensive at first glance si taskmaster at 140 pts but his POTENTIAL is worth more than 140 pts. Don't forget that he's a wild card so puwedeng may libreng defenders/JSA or Sinister/Bat enemy TA na libre which would be very crucial. Given na flurry yung kasabay ng power nya and SENSES, my gahd. hahaha Patalo nga lang damage nya. :confused:

* Stalling- grabe hinde talaga maalis sa balat ng player ang tactic na to, napaka evident kahapon at sad to say
saksakan ng garapal ung iba talaga.

* Unsportsman- marami ganyan din kapahon, panalo na, nakapandugas na, maangas pa. O well ganyan tlga minsan pag matagal
nang hinde nakakapanalo sa isang tourney, napakaevident sa mga ibang players ang ugaling ito, ayaw ko lng manita kahapon
dahil mamaya kung ano ano pa ang interpretasyon

* Epal- Napakarami pumapapel kahapon, ok lang magtanong pero para iquestion lahat ng desisyon ng isang judge lalo na't maganda
ang basis ng desisyon ng judge qinwestyon pa den, ang tindi!

* Pairing- the reason for the pairings nung first round was simple, Veterans face fellow veterans, newbies not so veterans face
their equal counterparts para level ang playing field at maiwasan ang newbie rape at most of all bigyan lahat ng chance pumasok.
Tignan mo naman naging result ng pairings, chito? andok? xstriker? sa top 8? They gave their best kahit hinde sila veteran and played like veterans!

* Bastos- Marami din ganito kahapon, panget nabunot na LE dame na sinasbi, bkt ung LE ganun ang selection blah blah marami pa, mga pasablay na hirit,
parinig, at kung ano ano pang pangdarambong na ginagawa, wag kau mag alala kilala ko kayo at sa ssnod mag ingat na kayo.

First time ko lng mag judge ng isang major tourney sad to say hinde ako natuwa sa mga nakita ko, when a prize as big as this is at stake, all bets are off lumalabas ang tunay na kulay ng isang tao.

Wag natin kalimutan magpasalamat kay Boss Freddy for the Fin Fang Foom Event,at sa mga LE's na ipinamigay!

Regarding sa "Bastos" kahit 1 o 1000 ang judge, hinde excuse un para mambastos ka ng ibang tao. Kung ikaw gsto mo ba binabastos ka ng iba eh ginagawa mo lng trabaho mo, natural ayaw mo. Same here.

Sa unsportsman, hinde muna ako magtuturo mahirap na. kung nga ngayon palang wala ng names, may mga violent reactions, what more kung nagbitaw ako, AT mismo si boss ang nakakita ng happening na ito.

Judge po ako ng Heroclix AT ng Mechwarrior nung araw na un, 4 kame bantay, 2 secret observers at 2 kame ni Mpao ang bantay ng heroclix at mechwarrior. Nasagot ko lahat ng tanong ng mga players, at gaya ng sabi mo hinde na kayo bata para pagsabihan pa, Since halos lahat kayo beterano na ng heroclix alam nyo na pag may nakita kayong hinde maayos sa laro nyo magtaas ng kamay at magreklamo. Gaya ng ginawa ng ibang newbie kahapon, nagreklamo regarding certain things inayos ko. Kung walang mag susumbong sa judge walang action na mangyayari.

Wala akong pinersonal sa mga sinabi kong observations, sinabi ko lng ang mga napapansin ko. Hinde rin ako baguhan sa pagiging isang judge dahil matagal na akong nagjujudge sa iba't ibang laro.

Judges prerogative ang pairing na ginawa namin sa event na to, players were paired based on what I felt was the right pair (kung hinde nyo feel na tama un wala nako magagawa), same din ginawa sa Mechwarrior sa kabila, wala naman akong sinabing level, sinabi ko veteran or not so veteran. FYI umiikot ako sa mga lamesa ng heroclix at inentertain ko lahat ng mga tanong, kung d mo napansin yon ewan ko nalng,wala naman masyadong question ang umikot nung araw ng laro at halos lahat ng players alam na ang mga rules, mga medyo malabo lang na ruling ang natanong at mga tungkol sa dice roll, lahat ng nagtanong sinagot ko at lahat ng issue na clarify ko sa mga players, at hinde ko kayo ginawang "tanga" at kahit kelan hinde ako ganun mag isip. Hinde rin ako mag babanggit ng pangalan kung sinu sinu ung bastos at unsportsman dahil mismo si boss na ang nakakita. At cya mismo nagsabi na wag muna patulan. At kung nababahala ka wag ka mag alala hinde ka kasali sa mga nabanggit kong observation.

Ginawa ko ung event na to para sa Heroclix Community, kung meron man hinde natuwa sa nangyari pasencya na.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS TO ECCHS for taking home the Dragon! Well done especially sa quarterfinal match. It was classic and most of all, fun! The rest of the top 8 also deserve applause for getting through tough competition. Of course thanks to NG too for the venue and personally flying the Dragon all the way from the US (he who shatters mountains cannot fly, so it seems haha).

What a move by Mayor GatX Squarepants for dropping his match against Chito. Siguro naman hindi excuse tong nangyari kay Marvin - is he all right? And yeah you should be proud of your Bub Tarat Tarat supporters, at least alam na ng buong mundo - ng MW haha.

I'd be blind if I didn't notice the misunderstanding happening here. Not to butt in to this conversation, but I hope cooler heads would take over. I think what both sides need lang is a proper explanation of things. No need to heat things up. Just explain your side and answer what is asked. And yeah look forward to the next tourney (for the Nth time, learn from the mistakes too haha). ;)

Thank you to Derwin and Patrick for organizing the event for both Heroclix and Mechwarrior. Frankly kung wala sila baka di natuloy ang event. Sila gumawa lahat we just provided the prizes and the venue. And wala akong prinomise sa kanila na bayad, cash LE or otherwise. So basically Thankless job sa kanila yun kung wala silang na receive na thank you sa dulo.

Now to respond to what happened to this thread and on the event and sana last na hirit na ito sa issue na yon.

I think the base problem is with the pairing during the first round. Admittedly if it was cleared with me, I would not have allowed ordered pairings during the first round. Admittedly the intention was good, but ultimately it cannot be executed in a "fair" manner, and cannot be defended in any objective manner as well.

Let's leave it at that na maganda ang intention. Although Patrick has judged in other games before, he really has not organized tournaments as much. If anything this is my fault, kasi medyo hands off ako sa organization and rules for the tournament. I did talk about this with them after the tournament.

Mechwarrior did have the same method used in the first round to pair people up. Sa totoo lang meron pa nga isang booboo sa format ng MW na after execution na lang ko napansin. Pero OK pa rin, basta masaya pa rin mga tao at the end.

Also I want to thank Neutral Grounds for organizing this tournament and for providing the prizes...

And for Clixboy... thank you for helping organize this tourney... there might have been some misunderstandings and some bad instances, but overall we are all in this together... I believe our community has grown, and we are more than just players... we are brothers with a common fondness for plastic heroes...:p Questions and observations help our judges to further refine tournament rules, and to better build a better community. So cheer up, brother...



On a side note...

Sa stalling wala? Marami akong ginawang paraan kahapon laban sa stallers particular sa isang laro ni Conrad na obvious ang stalling.

I will strictly enforce the 5 min per turn rule (Kung feel nyo mabagal kalaban nyo raise your hand to call my attention), para sa mga stallers at sa mga nananadya mag bago na kayo ng style. Kahit hinde pa ubos ang actions mo pag umabot ka sa time limit pasencya ka. Regarding the last action rule, pag nag time na, unless you were in the middle of an action OR just declared that action then time was called, hinde ka na pwede mag last action. This is to prevent cheap shots or lucky shots. Mahirap na masabihan ng sinwerte ka dahil last action na nakalusot ka pa etc etc etc. Bsta nag time na tigil lahat.
I saw that game and I just want to ask, if stalling was obvious why wasn't the 5 minute per turn rule implemented? Bakit kailangan gumawa ng paraan? And ano yung paraan na to? I know as a judge it is very difficult to decide what to do when a situation like this occurs. Pero, based sa pinost na rules, tingin ko you have made a solution to this. So bakit kailangan pang gumawa ng paraan?
Also, In my opinion, when one player had the upperhand in points, both players stalled... Yun lang... Observation lang po...

Suggestions on next major tourneys:
Can we put an alarm clock for time purposes next time... para pag ng alarm stop ang lahat. Suggestion lang din po... ang final say pa rin ay sa inyo, mga Judges...

Finally, the flaming about the FFF tourney stopped. Just keep a cool head, boys. I personally had fun last Saturday.

Maswerte naman ako with the 2 boosters, because I was able to get figs missing from my Origins set. Sablay nga lang ako with the 2nd booster when it came to the team building part, giving me a tough choice between a 192-point figure, or 3 good figures leaving my team 43 points short of 400. :ermm:
I had good matches with Dave's V Shazam, Geoff's Hawkeye and Marco's Swarm.
I took home LE's that I liked.
I wasn't sweating like a pig like we normally do in G2 every Wednesday nights. :laugh:Thanks to NG, and Patrick for setting up the event. I'm looking forward to the next one, and I'll make it a point to get a good night's sleep before the tourney next time around.

Actually ung paraan na ginawa ay desisyon na ng Judge, as far as that situation was concerned I had to make a call and have consulted with my fellow judge regarding the call. As always mahirap mag implement ng time limit sa isang round, sadly minsan talaga pag lamang ang isang tao sa points nangyayari ang hinde maganda, that's why pag may napansin na kayo you could always talk it over with each other since fellow bro naman tyo sa community kung wala pa ren epek then I believe call mo na ung attention ng judge, not just in heroclix but in any game. Matagal ko na rin gsto ung chess clock gamitin :) sadly mahal isa e at pag nahulog basag agad :(

Ok... I respect your decision... I just want to say that I may not agree sometimes with some of the judges calls but I-consider you guys to be our authority in this great game of ours... So my hats off to you and all the judges for making events like this possible... ;)

although nung critical mass factory set, champ gets 1st TWO picks.. so gat, pano 2ng legacy set? i wud suggest na kung 2 picks yung champ, wag na xa bigyan ng dalawang unique.. part of what makes the factory set sooo much fun is that even if you're in 10th place, you'll still score a great piece.. everybody wins in a game like that.. the last two that i've participated in was really fun.. and rewarding:)

Well I have participated in two tournaments that gave away factory sets as participation prizes.:cool:

Yup you've got that right! 1st place player gets to choose any figure included in the factory set and then 2nd place and so on and so forth. The factory set includes complete Uniques,Les,Revs,Feats,Bfcs,Bts,and if that particular expansion have NGN and Bibtb(buy it by the brick)figures,then it is also included. The tournament I participated in gave away a Mutant Mayhem factory set and the second tournament an Armor Wars factory set all courtesy of Neutral Grounds(Thanks Sir Freddie)!

Players who will participate in that tournament(Legacy factory set) will be gunning for KC Flash,KC Green Lantern,Ares,Oracle,top feats like ICWO,Fortitude,Lazarus Pit,and also the notable revs like Batman-ev,Joker-ev,etc. :cheeky:

All participating players(by rank) will get a number of figures/cards(depends on their choice)from the factory set until it runs out of figures/cards.

If you check the bg color on the card, he is the experienced version... The Units section here in HCRealms is a much better reference than the wizkids site... go figure... :tired: Your right about the power though... it would have been better if the dice roll just added to the damage dealt, subjected to the rule of 3... it's a better deal to be able to do a minimum of 4 damage for 2 clicks of damage to yourself... I don't know if this power will be ever used in a battle... :ermm: Avengers though has some very cool sculpts... wala pang pangit... :cool:

Yes the Legacy set, who would have thought na natutulog pala sa warehouse ng NG un.... :)

Draft would most likely be 1 fig per person, Champ gets first dibs and in order of performance na ung ranking, I guess making it 1 fig per player can help spread the chance of everyone getting at least something they want or something good, as usual participation LE's at the works and more prizes (if enough players attend). This set is something any heroclix player wants a shot at! (and yes the set has all the cards in it, ICWO, AP, TS, etc etc) and all SRs are also included in the set :)
