no, but I thought about starting. I know about it cus I used to play warhammer 40k and my venue has tons of the Lotr stuff, but do you play fellowship or two towers? I don't think they have come out with return of the king yet.

If we required that all members must post at least once a week to keep this thread/Clan alive, this club would be smaller than the Super-Friends... and I'm talking "old school" Super-Friends, with Marvin and Wendy. It's quite sad, really... very sad.

I thought the original idea behind these clans was to get involved, to assume a certain character persona and write comments and activities within that Clan as if you were the character you chose to emulate. That was my first exposure to the Clans a few months ago, in the Villains Clan. Unfortunately, all the Clans I've observed seem to have slacked off drastically in participation and lack any energy or impetus to continue. At this point, they don't seem that interesting anymore. Is there any way we can fix this, or should we simply accept that this was a passing phase and move on??

If we're going to do a Clan war, let's do it right... none of this going to their thread, yelling "Your Clan sucks!" and running away. Here's what we do:

1. We challenge them, and if accepted, begin the war.
2. Our heroes charge their ranks, attacking them in character, which means describing what your hero does to them or to certain members of the opposing Clan. For example, I could write: "Hawkeye fires a barrage of arrows at Sinestro and pins him to the wall by his costume." Then it would be up to them to respond in kind.
3. Stay in character, 'cuz it's much more fun than just hurling insults and lame comments. No one ever won a name-calling contest that I know of.

I suggest we challenge the Villain Clan, 'cuz it's very easy to visualize our familiar heroic roles doing battle against our old foes, the Villains!! C'mon folks, let's rock n' roll!
