I love both the map sets more than sinestro because unlike the senitnels I only bought one, due to there were never "more" sinestros unlike sentinels......
I voted for the DC map set because you got cool tokens and the "Battle for Metroplois" scenario-
2 1000 pt team no one under 75 pts and you just beat the ever living garbage out of each other......much like every other heroclix game......only cooler;)

I gotta go with the Marvel map set if only for the X-men outdoor map. I my mind it's second only to the Indy maps as far as map coolness.
Hi! Happy 2004!
And now the reason of my vote. I think that is dificult to compare the utility of a big figure like Sinestro and the maps sets. The big figures give us the option (one or two times) to play a huge adventure imagining a concrete episode in the life of our superheroes (like centinels in x-men world - days of future past -). In other way, the maps sets are suitable for a lot of adventures, a School of Xavier defense, an attack to the batcave, a battle in front of the Avengers house,... lot of diferents battles! My vote is to Marvel Map set, becaouse of Metropolis map i think is really complicated to play, is not fast an dinamic (under my point of view!).
Bye to all the people from HCREALMS, LOT OF FUN IN 2004, AND LOT OF HEROCLIX!
I chose the Marvel Map set. You got Alecia Masters and Mary Jane, together with one push of each token you heal all your wild card and FF members
I loved the new maps. I had a good laugh about the clix-pogs (come on guys, we need them as FIGURES...) but Sinestro is a great figure and a spectacular sculpt.
More big figs...lots more.
LoL
All the Best

I went with the DC map set. While I think the marvel pogs are slightly better, the marvel set contains the worst map ever - The Danger Room. Come on Wizkids, that map is so lame.

Sinestro. He was already out when I started playing the game, so I didn't think of him as an "add on"-- but I did buy one almost right away.

I, too, voted for the Marvel over DC out of bias. But, I do love the map/scenario sets.
Would love to see a map/scenario set with some LE clicks, like say, a generic "evil organisation installation" map with the following special purpose trap clicks:
Steel Tentacle Trap (R) 24 points
Range: 4
Target: 1
Movement: Aquatic
Team: None
SPD: 0 Stealth /0/0
ATT: 10 Inc. /10 Inc. /10
DEF: 12/12/12
DMG: 1/1/1
Machine Gun Trap (R) 22 Points
Range: 10
Target: 3
Movement: Aquatic
Team: None
SPD: 0/0/0
ATT: 10/10/10
DEF: 12/12/12
DMG: 1RCE/1RCE/2
Laser Turret Trap (R) 10 points
Range: 10
Target: 1
Movement: Aquatic
SPD: 0/0/0
ATT: 10/10/10
DEF: 12/12/12
DMG: 1RCE/1RCE/1RCE
Special Rules: Traps/Turrets are counted towards your point total for team building. In the pre-game set-up they are placed as objects on the map. Once placed they are considered immobile.
If K.O.’d, they are rendered inert, and are then considered heavy objects and treated as per the rules for 3D objects. A character with the Super Strength power who completes a successful close combat attack (While the turret/trap is still active) has the option of either dealing normal damage to the turret/trap or immediately rendering it inert by declaring he/she is picking it up, effectively ripping it out of the ground. It is then treated as a standard 3D object.
Design: Even though they don’t move, I selected Aquatic to indicate the player could set the in shallow water.
Since I didn’t plan on them being able to last more than 3 Click, I kept the stats pretty steady.
As far as immunities: Not susceptable to Mind Control, Psychic Blast, Knockback, and, ... umm... Help.

Nice idea with the traps, how about this?
Pitfall Trap
Points: 24
Team Ability: None
Range: 0
Movement: 0 Plasticity/0 Plasticity/0 Plasticity
Attack: 11 Incapacitate/11 Incapacitate/11 Incapacitate
Defense:10/10/10
Damage: 0/0/0
The plasticity represents it being hard to get out of the hole, and the incapacitate being also hard to get out of. If the incapacitate gives them damage it's because they, er, twisted their ankle in falling, yeah, thats it. As a special rule, flyers are totally immune to this trap. Afterall, can ANYONE see Superman not being able to get out of a hole? Also, the trap has no range because you have to accually WALK into it. Or, someone could TK you to it. Oh, thats a nasty thought =)
How about this one?
Land Mine:
Points: 4
Range: 6
Team Ability: None
Movement: 0
Attack: 15 Pulse Wave
Defense: 10
Damage: 0
This could be fun, only having one click of life represents that after it blows up, it can't do anything more. The high attack means that it can hit just about anyone easily, but it offset with a special rule that says it always has one action token on it, so that once you attack with it, it blows up (pushes) and it's no more. Another rule is that if it is targeted with a ranged combat action, or takes EE splash damage, it attacks before it dies. A character can make a close sombat "Disable Attack" against it. This lets that character attack the mine, but instead of doing damaging (which would trigger and attack roll), it disables it, at which point the mine token is removed from the game. A character with Mastermind may disable a mine without making an attack roll. Not a bad way to fill those leftover 4 points, is it? These things could make TK a killer power (or at least loads of fun)
Make Mine Marvel. As much as I like Alfred Pog, you can't beat Alicia Masters Pog with FF TA for 5 points.
