It has to be Galactus.Like other people have stated, why would they place a sentinal next to the box and why would it state"4 or more squares" in the FAQ's.

It is Galactus...his left foot! It has a collapsible base so on his speed value of 24 he/it can appear to squash any Clix in a sixteen (4X4) square area and they appear to "flatten"! That's "Charge" power. Has the "Power Cosmic" which ignores all defense powers and deals 12 damage to all figures it contacts. Or not.

From what I heard it has a spring loaded leg which cranks up until cocked. When your figure is KO'd, whoever is playing the part of Galactus gets to flip the release switch. At which time your fig is smashed by the mighty foot of Galactus. Now THATS high stakes clix. Bet you won't see too many Nightcrawler teams facing him.

Ok, here I go, after sitting here and reading for half an hour:

First, you are fueking WK's interest on HOW MUCH they are going to charge for this "Mystery Object"
Then, you are giving them Ideas on how to charge you even more by trying to guess what is in the box.
Also, you are giving them MORE money making ideas by saying that this fig is only going to be available at cons. Now they can make even more money off of all of us by only have VERY FEW of them now instead of releasing them to shops.

My take on it, it is a BFC, a big freakin' cannon to represent the new Marvel set. But that is my $.02, and I dont even go on my word.
But for this little publicity stunt and to make clix a game where even my 12 yr old brother cant even afford to get the game anymore, I am done. I am not going to buy another cliq until they reveal the little stunt or just let all of us that have been sucked in by this sham off the hook with what is in the empty box.
Of course I go with the idea I read a couple of pages back or so, it is a mini sized sentinel next to a normal sized big fig box. I already dont want to buy Unleashed because of the Sentry, now to take me off of Marvel clix too with this?

Also, nobody sent Wizkids this box. Those logos are official, and the box is too professionally made. They made the box and took a picture of it, and this whole thing is just to build suspense.

Galactus? He would be awesome. My money is definitely on having him with some accompanying maps. I mean, how would he fit on most maps, even with 3x3? 4x4? That covers 16 squares. Not bloody likely. But possible. With the adventure set, the box could actually be that big. Considering that it is a map - 10 bucks... plus Galactus - 20 bucks - plus price gouging - 10 bucks, - probably a 40-50 dollar piece of equipment there.

If so - would he be tournament legal?

Otherwise, Master Mold really doesn't fit into Heroclix... Fin Fang Foom would rule, but he's too unknown by most (or perhaps that's the reason that it is!!!)... Anyway, otherwise, I'd say a new Marvel set. That makes sense too.

I tend to agree with you, while it's not one of my favorite characters, Fin Fang Foom would make a good large scale figure. Galactus, I dunno, as it would just be too darn big, and far too many points to EVER use in a tournament or even a casual game if done right.

I was excited when I saw that whole box stunt. I've been following this thread for a good part of the day.
But now it looks like they won't unveil it today, and I feel I've already started to lose interest.
If they don't show it off tomorrow it's just going to cause unecessary hype and ultimately disappoint. Just like the Mage Knight 2.0 announcement that was supposed to 'turn the gaming industry on it's ear' Yeah, right...

The whole 'afraid to open the box' story is pretty lame too.

All joking aside, I'd really like to see it be 3-D terrain. It will most likely be Galactus. With the rewrite about figures taking up 4 squares or more and a set being released with three of the remaining heralds it seems almost obvious... but I think we've all been tricked before by WK...

Whatever it is had best be available to the general public, not just to convention goers or judges, else many many fans are going to be very very mad. If it is a Giant Galactus it should be $60 US if they plan to move many... and he better be really really good...

Maybe its just the first wave of Captain Surfers (Silver Surfer on a Captain Marvel Base) people are sending back to wizkids? I've pulled three of those already and it totally sucks. Also pulled a veteran daredevil with no upper torso, and an Adam Warlock with no arms. Then there was my headless Dormammu and my Ulik without a base. My favorite has to be the Morgan LaFey I pulled that is missing the flight stand part of its base (it was just the character and a dial, no flight stand, no way for her to stand).

People at my venue have these problems all the time with critical mass. Oh well...

Ill still keep buying like a mindless drone, and ill buy whatever is in the box.

Well the box is supposed to be standing that way - due to the This End Up printed on the side.

Now either this box is a shipping box or a cute way of hiding what's inside.

If it's simply being used as a hider - then it would have to be Galactus - a figure I would certainly not buy since it would seem it is quite unwieldy.

To build suspense in this way to reveal a figure dramatically smaller than the box would really be kinda lame.

The one thing that (to me) leaves the door open to it not being Galactus is the 'caution' tape.

It's not very cosmic - and "caution" seems very understated for the eater of worlds.

That makes me think it could be a 3-d map of some sort.

In the end, Galactus is the most obvious choice - but wouldn't it be even greater if it wasn't!

Just woke up from a nap and got out the palmtop. Sorry folks, didn't mean to cause this much confusion. Ok I work at wizkids and I know whats in it and I think you should all know,even if the the senders trying to keep it secret...See wizkids plans on selling it in that same box to consumers but whats in it is a ninja that plans to jump out when you open it and steal all your HC figures and bring them back to wizkids so you have to buy more!Its a brilliant plan really.

Whew! That's a lot of thread right there! I had to read it to make sure I didn't copy what someone else said. Turns out, that was a good idea since a bunch of the posts end up saying the same thing...only 10 pages later. Based on the amount of posts mentioning them, I'm guessing its either Galactus, or, much more probable, kittens.

If it does turn out to be Galactus, I LOVE the Secret Wars blister pack idea, even if all it had was a Galactus (smaller than the box) a reversible battle planet map, Galactus's Cat and a bunch of those spheroid drone things on clix. That would be a great addition to the game!

More than likely, however, if it is Galactus related, we've all missed the mark so far. I believe it's one of the following:

-Galactus plush toy complete with a Firelord clix attached to his hand with velcro and a small sqeaky "Earth" toy. When you tickle his stomach the giant purple planet eater says "Feed me!" in a cute baby voice that's trying to sound threatening. At this point you can insert the Earth squeeze toy into his open mouth. Then Galactus burps and says "All gone!"

-A folded up Galactus balloon which you blow up with the accompanying helium filler. Then, for hours of non-stop Heroclix fun, you keep swatting the balloon into your opponent's face while he's trying to count squares. If he tells you to stop, you simply show him the latest faq about how "swatting the balloon" is now allowed in official tournements.

-A Galactus pinata. Instead of candy he comes filled with clix points...clix points that the fans had sent back to Wizkids to make a point. Thus, the dance continues.

-Two big "Galactus" dials that you assemble, place on the map, and then you and your opponent stand on them. The game is won by the person who successfully knocks his opponent off his dial, and most likely to the floor. This new Wizkids game is called King of the Heralds. Oh, and one more thing...you can only use your head to knock the other player off the dial.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure those are the only versions we'll see of any Galactus. Personally, I'd rather see a Mole Man Monster.

I also think tyroclix has a good point about the caution tape. Would that really be appropriate for Galactus? Hmm, I'm going to have to think about that.

If it was a DC clix then I would've guessed a Legion of Doom headquarters. It was also the Gulag (metahuman prison) in Kingdom Come.

But since it's not I tried something in a simple picture program. I cut out the Sentinal and pasted it to a clear area. Then doubled it's size and placed it over the box. It fits pretty well inside the box, so lump me in with the Galactus group. #### that's a BIG fig.

If it is a single fig. It would be at least 8x8. Mobility on this fig would be very limited. Clearly they haven't made rules yet for such a fig since it doesn't fit in a starting area. BUt they could.

It might be multiple big figs. That certainly would be a tease.

It might be a complet set. Hopefully a new one, but it could be an old set.

Clearly it is some stunt though as the box is not labeled. If this were a final for resale package it would say what it was.

Shin, the Aurora Dropship works GREAT as a Skrull Dropship, or a SHIELD helicarrier! It has it's own dials and with some creative house rules, it makes a great scenario piece. I picked one up at DragonCon. Its side bays can hold a horde of Skrulls or SHIELD agents! It actually gives you a fighting chance against any villian or hero team you put together.

For that matter, I bought two different sized Galactus figures (one 14" tall that says "FEED ME!" or something like that) during the summer to play scenarios. He looks awesome behind Firelord and now I've got that Silver Surfer guiding him to devour worlds! The only thing Wizkids could add to that is the dial and their own take on his power level and rules.

I'm still excited for a Galactus clix. Hoping for a sculpt that's not too stiff may be unrealistic since Galactus never looks very mobile. Give him the Boon action pose. Ooooo-wa, Hi-yaa! Or better yet, the Critical Mass Spidey pose! Yee-haaaa! Hey, baby, size does matter!

Since this box has caution tape painted on the box (denoting something dangerous inside) and Wizkids says they are afraid to open it (hinting at a bomb), this could very well be a good way to announce the next Marvel set... Powerbomb.
