yeah...i bought the game about a year ago...after playing the demo. but i'm on xp-2000 and it won't play at all. i don't think the game is supported by patches any longer, so if you're on xp, don't get the game.
anybody know any work arounds on this? the game's been sitting on my shelf for nearly forever....and i still want to play it!
If you have a half way decent PC, you should be able to play it. I don't think it is available on the Mac.
Great game, BTW.

window 98 no very fast I dont think I have a lot more
I had a problem installing it on my PC (running XP): it was related to the CD code, and when I put it in my CD-RW drive, it worked fine. If you get it running, a site called Alex's Freedom Fortress has a JLA mod - a 7 part (only 6 available right now) story using JLA characters. Just download it and unzip it, and you're ready to go. It's a very professional looking mod and a lot of fun.

electric-freedom.com is another great FF site.
I also know that the game has a forum (similar to this) with a host of dedicated modder's and such. I can't remeber what it is exactly, but you can probably find it through the links on electric-freedom or AFF.
and i also know that a sequal in the golden age of comics is on tap. it's a great game. i played the hell out of it and probaly have about 3 gigs on my hard drive devoted just to that game.
Here's the specs for the game, 64 MB RAM, 4X CD-ROM, 16 MB VRAM, 580 MB disk space, mouse, sound card, DirectX v8.1
That's pretty basic for a computer game so it should work for you. If you want to get some more informationa bout it go here (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/freedomforce/review.html)
Hope this helps.
The game is available on both the PC and Mac (OS X) platforms. I'm running it on 2 PC's one with XP the other 2K, but run fine. The Mac version though doesn't feel as smooth as the PC version, but chalk that up to the conversion process.

Ok this is in the "read me", then I will never can play this game with my computer
"+++ When I run the game a message box is shown that says "alert: init renderer"
Freedom Force Demo requires a 16 MB DirectX 8.1 Compliant 3D video card. Also,
you must have 3D hardware acceleration enabled. "
I will wait for a new computer, or how I can know if my computer have this?

Don't worry, CarlosMucha. You aren't the only one. I have the actual game, but this computer won't play it. :P

you know why?
Carlos,
From what you have said, it sounds like you just don't have a good enough video card to run it.
Mind you, that is just from the information you put up there about the error it was giving you.
You can probably get a video card that would work for it for as little as $50.
If you don't know all that much about computers, I would gather up the basic information for your computer (i.e. your computer manual , the amount of RAM you have, HD space, and operating system) and go to Best Buy and talk to one of the guys there. From what you have posted here, they should be able to get you what you need to be able to run it. Should only need to get the bottom of the line video card that we have.
And as a disclaimer, I do work for Best Buy. That's how I know that they can hook you up and take care of you. :)
