I really apologize. I'm in no way new to the game, but I have a question about pulse wave. I just recently learned that it can actually be usefull, and wanted to know a few more things about it. Such as, can you perplex/enhance/shield ability the damage to cause more damage? Also, if you have multiple targets such as Veteran Kang ( 3 targets ) can you multiple target everyone within half your range and give them 3 clicks of damage each? Sorry if it seems like a newbie question, but help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

With the new Pulse Wave rules, it ignores all powers and abilities of any figs within area of effect as long as you can draw a clear line of fire to them. This includes Stealth and defensive powers, but it also includes any friendly figs. So Enhancement and Shield are right out.

Perplex and Probability Control are trickier. Those can only be used if the character using them is not within the area of effect within the Pulse Wave. For example, Mystique can stand 10 squares away and Perplex Kang’s attack value, but if she’s next to him (and thus within the area of effect), then Kang would ignore her Perplex.

You can’t use Multiple Targets to use PW three times, though. Multiple arrows only tell you how many targets you may attack on a ranged combat action. Pulse Wave is a power action with its own rules.

and you can only deal your full damage with any perplexers and modifers that are out of range if only one target is hit with the PW, if more than one target is hit, whither friendly or opposing, then the damage is dropped to one and nothing can raise it.
