Discussion topic: what's your favorite wrestling federation of all time?

I'll have to say "E-C-W! E-C-W! E-C-W!". They had everything: cruiserweight matches, technical matches,weapons matches, and insane deathmatches. Also, it gave some of the most talented wrestlers a start in America. Sabu, RVD, New Jack, Terry Funk, Rey Mysterio, Rhyno, Sandman, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, and even yours truly, Catus Jack made their start in ECW.

TERRA: the "Three Faces of Foley" are considered different personalities. Each of these personas represent some thing different. Therefore, if someone wants to be Mankind or the Dude, it should be allowed.

My son will kill me for not taking Kane but, I'll take La Parka. Ever since WCW began it's decline I have missed the Luchadores. La Parka coming to the ring with the steel chair, clearing the ring of Luchadores then playing it like a guitar was classic. I realize he will not go down in Wrestling heroes as great, he was fun to watch.


That said, please explain to me the popularity of ECW wrestlers: Sabu, New Jack, Sandman, and a few others who I am sure will come to me. A few of the guys from ECW made it in WCW and a few lasted through to WWE but what was the big deal with the three I mentioned as well as like Justin Credible. They tried but did not make the cut.

I honestly want to know what made them good to so many people. I am not cutting on them

Charge on all the 8's because he suddenly gets crafty and counters moves into a slam or an ankle lock without warning, also he's pretty fast, hence the 9's. Back to Flurry for the 7's and the 6 to signify the Ankle Lock.

10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 8 7, Super Strength for the first 5 clix, Kurt isn't the strongest guy but he is the most lethal, so that explains the semi-high stats.

He comes to the ring and the steel chair seems to be a part of him. Then after he gets a cheap shot he only gets one more chance to swing the chair. After that he staggers around the ring like he’s done for. People ignore him or just can’t seem to take him out (high DEF plus IMP). After he collects himself he notices all the other Luchadores jumping out of the ring onto one another and follows suit (Charge). He is usually good for one jump but gets carried away and puts himself on his last click. Now, unless he is extremely lucky, someone else has grabbed his steel chair and is beating him over the head with it. He gets carried out or he gets lucky, it’s never pretty.

4 Horsemen- Any fig making an attack against a memeber of the 4H gets a -1 to their AV.(To show their awesome intimidation of NWA at the time)

Luchadores-Luchadores have permenent Charge at full range.
(High Flying fun)

NWO-Any NWO character has automatic outwit on any opposing character that has a lower point total. If two members of the NWO are adjacent, add their point totals together and any one character their total is greater than, they get outwit on them.
(To represent them as bullies who picked fights they could win with numbers, or against people they knew they could take out)

DX-Any members of DX that are adjacent can use any AV, DEFV, or Damage Value of any other DX friendly DX character. So HHH, and HBK can use each other's stats if they are adjacent.
(The hit and run tactics and group unity that this team had)

Hulkamaniacs-Any hulkamaniac is immune to all powers in the opponents damage square(Outwit, Perplex, RCE, CCE,). So you cannot Perplex up your damage or Attack and use it on a hulkamaniac, so outwitting them, and no bonuses to damage.
(Well, he would be the superman of the wrestling Clix)

I have a feeling I may have screwed up the dial for him but I didn't know exactly what to go with in some areas. This is the first time I've come up with a dial and I wasn't sure on points so I decided to take a guess at what would seem right in points. I was looking to represent him as team leader in the beginning with this dial and then to his smarts in the ring along with his anger, then to some of his antics late in the match with perplex, I also gave him willpower late since he can keep going late in the match and at the end he regains his outwit and mastermind for a last ditch effort to save his title if he's in danger of losing the title by having a distraction and incap represents the sledgehammer or title he uses to knockout his opponent at the end. If anyone else would like to take a shot at Triple H's dial feel free to do so. I have a feeling some might say it doesn't represent him to well. Also what would be a good team ability for Evolution? Maybe something similar to a Mystics team ability?

so what should we do for matches? only thing i can think of is script moves back and forth, someone not involved in the match can interfere if one of the wrestlers is a heel (can't believe i'm saying this since i'm hogan) and after a few pages of fighting, the first wrestler to get 5 votes in his favor wins the match. any other ideas?

All you ecw zombies take note I've had enough. I've been a fan for 30 years and any time ecw invades this page I feel I must speak the truth.... Paul Hayman hasn't had an original idea in his life. THe real hardcore wrasslin started with the Funks in Texas and with the Fargos in Tennessee, Hayman was a jock sniffer backstage in Memphis where he learned the trade from Jerry Jarrett, Jerry Lawler, and others. Bill Dundee was diving off scafolds while New Jack was in diapers. The Dream Machine was giving stiff chairshots while RVD was in a high chair. So when you mindless followers chant ECW remember what your chanting for...a pain in the rear like Hayman who has little mans complex, and a habit of running his operations in the groud. Come on guys it was an hour long show with 25 minutes of Raven talking dork babble, 20 minutes of Axel and Mahoney two no talent hacks who made the Moondogs look athletic, and some good wrestling which somehow happened in spite of Haymen. I just get sick of losers who chant ecw everytime they see a guy who wrestled there. If Ecw was the ultimate why is it dead? Its done get over it Hayman did not revlutionize wrestling he copied what worked in the 70's. Now there is nothing wropng with that, except the bald buffon claims he invented the style.

Edge starts off high flying and running around doing high impact movest with WP, LC and Perplex. Then he makes his way down to some nice Toughness and flurry after he makes the "hot tag" to his teammate or when mounting the comback. Then at the end of his dial he boostsback up with his pattented Spear, the Charge and Outwit make him a monster at the end to get rid of, he can certainly take you down at the end of the match.

A side note. ECW was a lot of fun, I went to many live shows and saw some of the best wrestling ever. RVD and Jerry Lynn put on matches that may have been the best I have ever seen. The original stuff was better than what we got on TNN, I mean the Dreamer/Raven/Francine stuff was wonderful, the Dudleys are some of the best performers ever, and Taz! No where else would we have gotten a 5'8" monster in wrestling. The TNN stuff was not as good as the actual product, but it was still good. I know what you are saying about it not being as original as some people say it is, but that does not mean it wasn't good.

To greenlawer and all those who have been talking carp on ECW. I admitt that Hayman was was a ######, and I admitt I was wrong when I said that Cactus Jack, Terry Funk and etc "started" in ECW. It was a simple misuse of word. I admitt that Raven's promos were long, and boring. I also admitt that ECW hasn't the pioneers of hardcore wrestling, but I wasn't around to see the Dream Machine, Moondogs, or the Fargos. When I was growing up, the only hardcore wrestling there was is ECW. However, I'm not saying that WCW's and WWF's hardcore division was bad at all. But I agree with with techdog, ECW was fun. And isn't that what wrestling is about?

Like mine can be a bunch of american achievement players like Superman and Captain America.

And whoever took Hogan can be a bunch of sellout, lying, crybabies who only got the big push by tattling on Sergeant SLaughter for trying to start a wrestling union. I recommend Thunderbolts.

Nothing personal Lukion, I loved Hogan as a kid and it broke my heart the day I found out just what kind of man he really was. You're still cool.

However in the ring, when I have that ankle lock on you, Hogan, the people will be chanting "U, S, A" and it will mean "You Submit to Angle."

La Parka still miming, because speaking Spanish is the same as being mute in WCW, makes an exaggerated gesture at the belt.

La Parka picks up the belt, wipes it off and hands it to Hogan.

"I am a Real American!" blares from the sound system. Hogan rips off his shirt and walks toward the back.

La Parka points toward Hogan heading up the ramp.

Angle runs after Hogan and an offended La Parka runs after Angle (steeel chair still in hand). Angle spins Hogan around just in time to get beaten, again, repeatedly unconcious.

Hogan smiles at La Parka, "How about joining the nWo?"

La Parka begins playing the steel chair like a guitar and the two walk off together.

*Angle then reclaims the title*

Edge gets up, rubs the unconscious Angle's head for luck and says "Nice hair cut" and walks off to find some ice for his injured neck, leaving Cactus on the floor with bat and belt still in hand.

He lays it down in the center of the ring and plays Steel Chair Guitar over it. He exits the ring, leaving the belt for those who would want such a thing, and heads over to the announcers. He chairshots the Coach, Tazz stands and applauds him, he takes coaches chair and places it by the Spanish Annoucers table and sits down with his Steel Chair in hand.

The Spanish Announcers, who are microphoned poorly for the American audience, ramble on about La Parka and his heritage. A brief video showing the history of Luchadores is displayed on the big screen for the audience. Then the lights go down and the spotlight hits the entrance ramp as . . . Drunkardly (and possibly in a hurry to the potty), he stumbles out of the ring, and makes it halfway up the ramp only to meet up with...

I started working on the Zeus Pro file for the "HCRWF" HC Realms Wrestling Fed. I'm thinking if anyone's interested we would have three titles, the World, IC, and Tag Team(if anyone wanted we could add more). If anyone wants me to book matches I'd like to know how the first champs should be decided. I would do a battle royal, but I can't find the file to do that type of match. I'm thinking of a big tournament with the people signed up for the Wrasslin' Stable so far. If people want to wrestle in the tag division post who you would want your tag partner to be.

We've got some work to do now!

As The"Chosen One" is walking backstage he sees Sean O Haire. He walks toward him as he stops looking straight at his face. He starts to laugh as He turns around walking away.

Sean: What is wrong with him?

Then Jarrett turns around and grabs a chair lying on the wall and hits Sean O Hair straight in the head with it making him fall down adn start bleeding. Then Jarrett puts the chair in Sean's knee and start stomping the chair trying to break his knee. Then he takes the cahir and throws it and puts Sean in the Figure Four. Sean starts screaming because all the pain he is suffering. After a couple of minutes Jarrett break the hold and stands up. Then he walks to his locker room and closes the door.

just as jarrett is about make it to his lockerroom, hogan takes the shovel shelton hit him with and feeds it to jarrett. wrong move brother! hogan says. as jarrett lies on the floor dazed, hogan runs forward and comes down with the leg drop. Jarrett is lying on the floor then begins to stand up slowly. Just as Hulk Hogan is walking Jarrett stops him. Jarrett is rubbing his head after that attack by Hogan.

Jarrett: Hogan dont tell me you dont want The Chosen One with you? I know Sean is in the nWo and by attacking a member of the nWo is attacking you all i know. But I just did it to show you that you can do way better than Sean O Haire and by that I mean ME, The Chosen One. Just think about it.

Jarrett walks away to his locker room.

Jarrett, after laying a vicious beatdown on Hogan in his locker room, enters his own, packing up to leave for the evening.

Entering the shower area, Sting appears from around the corner and jabs his bat into Jeff's stomach!

The Chosen One falls back into the locker room. Sting picks Jarrett up and the two trade punches until Jarret gets the upperhand, body slamming Sting onto a near by fallen table.

Backing up to the door, Jarrett runs up and goes for the Knee drop, but Sting rolls out of the way, leaving Jeff to land on the table!

Quickly getting up, Sting kicks Jarrett a couple of times in the stomach, Sting moves to his legs and latches on the Scorpion Deathlock!!

Doing my best Rodney King impression Hogan yells out "can't we all just get along?" (crowd laughs, J.R. shakes his head saying "and this is a live show in L.A.") I'll think about it Jarrett. Hogan walks off as the lights go dim. Where should the next show be Terra Rising?

i agree with cyber, we should have the occasional ref so the belt doesn't change hands per post but as for hardcore rules, they should be kept with hardcore matches. there will be enough off ring tussles without a belt hanging in the balance. of course we could add the hardcore belt. you started the thread Terra so your the boss. as for madison, cool but shouldn't we save that ring for a pay per view?:cool:

hey terra i guess we could do one of a few different things. schedule belt matches on a certain night, after raw or smack down for example so that most everyone is home from work, and then have matches. wrestlers could trade script moves back and forth. after awhile, whoever the crowd is (anyone else watching the action) could submit votes. whoever reaches 7 votes first gets to write in his next post something like hits with his finisher and goes for the pin, 1,2,3! or whatever. i'm for the voting by peers thing but if you guys have another idea, hogan is all ears. ref makes sure no interference unless it is a hardcore match or if your back is turned or whatever. when you want to compete for the belt, someone impartial will ref.:cool:

Since I'm not working at the moment, what I'll probably do is say something like "Event starts on Friday" and "ref" the matches.

Basically, what you'll do is create a story up until the pin fall and I'll just count the official pins. Sound good?

what i meant by script is that each of the wrestlers would post a few moves and then let the other do the same back and forth as there wrestler would do:

jake the snake swings hawk around and into the ropes for an irish whip. hawk comes off the ropes and catches the clothsline

(then guy playing hawk in his post) hawk regains his footing from the clothsline and kicks forward at jake but his foot is caught! the snake twists hawks ankle painfully. hawk hops up and turns it into the enziguri! jake catches a heel in the jaw! hawk on his knees, crawls to the corner, jake is staggered on his back

then the guy playing jake the snake would post again and so on. you read any illegal moves or interference you hop in. after a page or so of exchanges, observers would submit votes. first one to seven votes in his favor gets to lay in with whatever combo he wants and his finisher and you count the one two three.
this way everyone participates. the only challenge would be getting the 2 people online at the same time along with enough observers to cast there votes in the end. no one can type pins for the 1,2,3 until the voting is in. that was what i was thinking when i said scripting but i am open to an easier idea if you have one in mind:cool:

Keeping in the "Clix" motif you could figure out how much everybody is Clix-point-wise. Then have matches. Lower point characters could make up the advantage with things like: 1)REF looks away for illegal weapon or spray - 25 points. 2) Outside interference - Manager 10 points, Sidekick (Rosie for the Hurricane) 25 points, Enemy of opponent (50 points). 3) Quick Regen (50 points). ETC.

The ring could be a small 6x6 and the opponents could play by post.

Nice. I want my Rosie. But are the effects one time shots or can we declare them as actions? Also, I have no idea what my Hurricane clix would cost. Anyone got any ideas? Also, would you play with the standard 100-point multiples or would a lesser fig just try to match his opponent? Would an illegal weapon be like a Super Strength attack with a light object?

I know there are dial generators that exist. I just don't know where they are or have never used one. I think the real issue is, who would make the final ruling on what figures had? Everyone posts what they think and then somebody else edits and okays the people. Who though?

Lukion, the only problem I would have with your set-up is that a 15-post match would take a couple of hours to complete.

I'll leave it up to the board, but I think that the immortal, invincible, infallible referee (for the moment, me) should judge the best stories and declare title changes after each post. Also, I like the idea that a title change can take place at moment's notice, so we should keep that going.

That said, I'm open to suggestions as to how to do this.

Yeah I am starting to see errors in the storyline building process we have been doing. Maybe we should try something else. Lukion for the second time has backtracked and changed the existing storyline after he gets prettymuch thrashed. Which is unfair to everyone because Lukion really gets no way to defend himself, especially after I had him pretty soundly beaten. However he also backlogs and beats me into submisison as well, a move I support given Lukions circumstances, even though I was boarding the plane and deciding if I wanted my kosher meal on the way to NY or not, when suddenly time magically rewound and my attack on the NWO never happened. We're going to have to either A, figure out a way for balanced fights to occur without both parties, or B figure out other modes of competition.

I believe I have a solution for some of us.

I could play out some of the matches on my copy of Smackdown: Here comes the Pain. Granted, guys like La Parka and Hogan would get the shaft but for a lot of us it would be really fair. I guess I could BUILD Hogan and La Parka. If the respective participants wanted to provide me with instructions on which moves to use. Then for matches that don't involve Kurt Angle I'd either A, let the computer play it out or B randomly select one of the wrestlers, based on whoever I felt like supporting, and play that wrestler.

Does this seem like a fair idea?

I think the idea of the free for all is kinda cool. I also think the best story should be voted on, maybe arrange matches on Monday, who would face who, random dram and such, then submit them on a Tuesday, and vote until Wednesday, then the winner moves up or down, and belts change hands. I don't know, it is all in good clean fun. Except for the blood and violence and stuff.

i think gonzo and techdog have the right idea. stories followed by a voting at scheduled times. otherwise, like freakazoid said, when one person is online and other is offline, he can't defend himself. freak can write he aced the entire nwo then i can say he dreamed the whole thing and in truth he was abducted by aliens and given a probe ala southpark.
since we all watch raw or smackdown, just see who wants to fight after which show. trade moves in a story mode for about 5-10 min like normal match length and then let the crowd cheer their winner.
as for the clix idea, love the game though i do, i get my fill of it with my circle of friends once or twice a week. this is a great break to do something wwe related that my group here doesn't particularly care for. i think the thread is sweeeet and so are all you guys putting in continuous visits, except you freakazoid ha ha joking, it just a matter of making something simple yet functional. my vote is for techdog's idea
