I've tried a couple searches here at HCRealms and I'm surprised to see nobody talking about the DC Pocket Superheroes. Not the old Megos, but the new DC Direct version.

Anybody have any experience/opinions with these? For folks who are more collectors than players I would like these would be more appealing to clix . . .

And doesn't Marvel have something comparable - I think I've seen a Silver Surfer and Ultimate X-Men?

Hey, I collect Pocket Superheroes and have been since they came out. I grabbed the Justice League table and chairs w/ Martian Manhunter when I saw it. The backrounds/story cards are a great plus with the figures and the little accessories are great too. I've got my mini Hawkman and Hawkgirl (wielding her mace) above my computer. There are tons of em but they all look great, can't wait for the Justice League, Green Lantern, Superman, and Batman box sets to come out!

Marvel Minimates.....probably the coolest little figs to come out since Heroclix! Most of them have 14 points of articulation, and the characters are represented really well!
AND, pretty reasonablly priced! :)

Art Asylum will also be coming out with DC minimates also, that come with "lego type" building sets.....Batman will have the batmobile....set like that....very cool also!

Cool! The DC web site is really out of date, so I can't find a checklist for what's already available?

And does Art Asylum DC minimates mean the end of Pocket Superheroes?

Last question - any recommendations on getting these on the cheap? Thanks!

The only place i have seen the DC minimates are at various Toy Fair 2004 webpages.......sadly i didnt bookmark any of them....

UUmm, that im not sure of....i dont know what the sales figures of the Pocket Superheroes is. We shall see since compared to the marvel minimates, the DC ones are included in building sets, so they will more than likely be a bit more expensive than just the 2 and 5 packs of Marvel minimates.

Marvel Minimates you can usually find on ebay for quite a decent price, i dont know when the DC ones will be out.....

Plus, the newest Toyfare has a complete list of all the current Marvel Minimates available and some soon to be released ones.
