Y'know, everyone else is laughing, but considering what I've said before about Uncanny X-Men #167 I thought it was great to capture that horrific mid-transformation image of Xavier in his wheelchair...

And if you *did* mean it to be funny, I'm going to be real embarassed.

Well, see, art is up to the interpretation of the viewer. The figure does represent the mid-transformation of Xavier in issue #167 pretty well (there was never a shot exactly like it, as the queen was more or less fully formed when the head was finished, but this is as close as I'd probably get). But for others, who possibly had never even heard of the Brood and had no clue about the LE being Prof. X and were confused by the naming, it does have some humor qualities.

I'm particularly proud of the tentacle that is holding the wheel just like Xavier's hand was. :)

Anyone have the original images of the 'horrific transformation' handy? I'd love to see them (as I didn't get that particular issue of X-Men ...).

I've never been particularly fond of the Brood family of sculpts as they all just look like big, dumb bugs with ridiculously tiny wings ... I was hoping for something more Alien-esque.

Yours, however, is definitely a step up from the original on both sculpts. And, they make me want to investigate the original story, which is always the sign of a good mod ...
