View Full Version : Ultimate X-Men Group Pics...
Hello,
I have updated the Ultimate X-Men team page on my website to reflect the updated dials chosen for them as well as a handful of group pictures. The page also features Ultimate Cyclops in the pics (he was previously absent from the page since he was only a repaint as opposed to a modded out fig). Let me know your thoughts - again, it's nothing too new, but it is updated.

First let me just say wow. those are awesome. The only problem i have is the cyclops. it just doesnt look like the one in the comic. but the painting is nice
Just an example of laziness in the home stretch of a modded out theme team... ;)
You can take some comfort in that even though he is still the traditional Cyclops, he is panited in the Ultimate X-Men color scheme (hey, I'm trying over here)...
I did my Cyclops pretty much the same way. I mean, there really isn't that much difference between the two. Just a simple re-paint is enough there.
You know, one of these days, I'm going to have to get my mods online so that we can compare 'em. We had similar ideas on a lot of them ... though, my paint jobs aren't nearly as nice as yours.
As per usual...very nice.

I like ur ultimate wolvie much much better than the one wizkids showed. All of urs look great though, whose head did u use as the base for that wolvie? Mad crazy props to you.

Wolverine is Flash's body and left arm(repositioned), the Scorpions right arm, and robin's head with the hair re-sculpted. I then cut the claws off of a normal wolverine and puttied those onto the mini.
Thanks for all the kind words and I would love to see more of your mods, JacinB (All I saw was the VERY nice Superman you did some time back).

You liked that one, eh? That's the only one I've posted so far. I've done a few more since then, though, so it's time to get some more on here.
I've just finished the sculpting portion of creating Michael Turner's new Supergirl from the cover of Wizard #148, and I'm far more impressed, at least personally, with my work on her than I was with Superman.
She'll probably be the next one that I post (followed closely behind by Krypto) ... I just have to paint them up first.
I'm going to work on putting a site together for all of them (maybe tonight), so as soon as that's done, I'll get it a link to it on here.

Great job on Ultimate Wolverine! I'm going to assume that you're going for his pose on the cover of Ultimate X-Men #1?

Yessir... That was most definately the cover that figure was modeled after. I felt it got pretty darn close...

Don't sing it... bring it!
Seriously, I've been wanting to see you rmods for a long time... let me know when you get your page finished... take care!
Of course, the team works pretty darn good within itself... but the new figures do present an interesting dynamic... their new dials. I am very curious to see what this new team ability does, and how the stats of the new figs will interact with the old ones. Will the team be more efficient as all new figs, or is a mixture ideal? I'm excited about the possibilities...
