Thanks.

I wish I could take credit for it, but that is the brain-child of my brother and a web-designer friend of his. I had the same reaction the first time I saw it too.

The Zodiac characters are based on a Champions (HERO System) product called The Zodiac Conspiracy... long has it been one of the top 3 Champions products I have owned. The book was written and illustrated by Doug Schuler (I hope I spelled that right). The mods are also from him.

The fanboy in me is positively drooling all over the place...

...disgusting, ain't it?

(now if only Aaron Allston's Strike Force and PSI from Mind Games could get figures!)

Well, actually the Champions module "The Zodiac Conspiracy" is based on Champions characters that were created by Doug for a session of Champions that we played back in the early 80's. Then, as he got his foot in the door with Hero Games, they let him do up this module for the game. So these characters actually predate that module by a good 5-6 years, and our sessions with them became the foundation for this module.

He and I have both re-created our Champions characters into Heroclix and use them regularly. It's a real blast to play them in 3-D rather than just on paper, and our imagination. If you go to the Nova Flight page; phase 1 is a re-creation of our Champions heroes. The Zodiac were our arch-enemies. And there are scattered others that we have re-created. Maybe I oughta create a page just for our Champions conversions...hmmmm...

Carlos, my friend, you have inspired me. I will create a version of her and add it to the ILH. I'm currently getting my Master's Degree, so it may be a while, but I'll let you know when she's out there.

unknownronin: I'm with you on the fanboy stuff. The first time I found Chalga's page and then matched up names on the page with the copy of The Zodiac Conspiracy that I was holding in my hands, I just kinda smiled and murmured, "Now that's cool."

Agreed on Strike Force, though I'd also like to see a Hero "Doc Sidhe" setting! :)

So Chalga, what degree are you working towards?

Thanks for the information. That makes both the figures on your site and the Zodiac book THAT MUCH COOLER!!!

I'm a member of Chalga's group, and for those interested I just put up a few additional pages about our Heroclix games. These have the House rules and character generation rules we use, the program we use to create characters, and some information on how we create terrain.

The main page doesn't have links to these pages yet, but those should go up very soon. Here's the site:

Would you happen to know what the Angel statues are in the Battle pics and do you have any plams to post an article on the city scapes the pics show you playing on? They look d@mn good.

My part of the website has a Terrain page, and I plan on expanding it to include more terrain shots and tips on how to make terrain. Right now the page only has a limited amount of stuff on our buildings.

The angel statues are just plaster garden statues, painted grey and dry-brushed light grey to look like stone. Look for little peices of statuary in craft stores and garden centers. Repaint them (I'm a big fan of Stoneflec paint myself) and there you go.

Thanks for the reply. I'll keeep an eye on your page for updates.

If I might bother you some more, What scale are the vehicles you use? I've been looking at 1/72nd but they are too small.

Dark Elf

I just updated the Terrain page with a much more in depth look into what we do and how we do it. Check it out.

The cars we use are around 1/48th scale or so. Die-cast cars in this scale can be found in any toy store, sometimes even your local grocery store. The often vary widely in their listed scale, but anything in that range will do fine. They should be around 4" long or so.

Oh yeah, nice elaboration on terrain. I'm going to try something like this this weekend.

Izanagi, I believe the X-men's Nightcrawler is German to.

I meant in Nameology. Kurt is certainly not named Nachtraupe (Nightcrawler). Thanks for noting Kurt's origin, though.

I love this site! Big snaps to you and your crew Chalga.

Any chance of seeing an update of some of the older sessions with the descriptions of what's going on?

Also, a brief description about each character would be way cool.

That being said, great site and keep up the great work.

I have to echo the sentiments of the others here on this thread - Excellent site Chalga.

I'm going to have to pursuade my brother to help me work on a site for my Mods!
