View Full Version : Avengers/Thunderbolts
What did you think? I am a huge Thunderbolts fan and I'm glad to see them back in action. I love the new lineup and the new powers that are emerging in Moonstone. All around, I just wish they'd give a little deails about what went on between the end of the old title and now. I just hope it leads to a new series.

I'd love to see another run of T-bolts. Give 'em a good writer and they'll be the best superhero team around.
What about the mini series' wrighters? Either one of them would be great. I like the penciler too.

I quite enjoyed it, although the old Authority routine is getting a bit ho hum by now. But it's nice to see Helmut giving it more of a media-friendly spin.
I must have slept through Dallas's story, though. I thought she and Erik were still bonded together as the Ion Twins, but now she's a kung fu chick, and she's taken Helmuts's sword and his V-schtick?

It's starting off sooo predictiable...Capt. America is as stiff as a board and the Avengers come off as the biggest ego sucking self rightous hypocrites in the world....which is a shame b/c the T-Bolts are so much better than the Avengers anyway...

It was great! The art is not bad, and the writing is brilliant of course. It's just great to have the T-bolts back again.
As for Dallas, she was seperated from Atlas at the end of the counter earth story, when they used up all their ionic energy to help seal the dimensional rift. As a result of their bonding and seperation, Dallas was healed of her injures and given enhanced reflexes, while Atlas reverted to being a normal human again (No ions=no growth). Fixer then went and stole some Pym particles from Saddam Hussein and re-started Atlas' powers.
It makes sense for Dallas to have the V-sword and look, since she masqueraded as Citizen V for a large part of their first series.

To be honest I thought it was awful...dull story. Average art...nothing going for it really.
Not like I've read much Tbolts stuff before (couple of issues tops) but this certainly didn't get me interested. Not gonna be buying it again thats for sure.

To each his own.
I actually wasn't interested much in T-bolts when I'd only read a handful of issues. But it definitely grows on you. I gave it a second chance later, and got hooked, then had to go back and buy all the ones I'd missed. Best character development in comics.
