I know this is a Hero Clix site, but I figure a bunch of fellow clixers are more likely to be able to answer my questions more fairly than a rep from Sabertooth Gamres; the maker of the new Lord of the Rings Combat Hex game.
I am very strongly considering getting out of Hero Clix. I was not happy with the retirement rule, but I am more a collector than a tournament player, so it did not bother me much. I do not at all like the fact that after only three expansions, Wiz Kids is retiring figures and making tournament players purchase new base sets with the same characters. Marvel has tons of characters and version that have not been made yet. Make them, then start recycling. Between both of those, I was willing to wait and see how Wiz Kids does. But now with the news of Galactus being near impossible to get, I am very much thinking about reinvesting my money into a different game; I will probably purchase Galactus on Ebay now, using the money I would have used for future boosters.
My questions to you are these....
1. Does any body know what kind of reputation Sabertooth games has with its customers? From what I can see, Wiz Kids is getting a bad one locally as well as over the net.
2. Is there tournaments for the Lord of the Rings tradable miniature game?
3. Is it as comparable to Hero Clixes as it seems?
Of the three questions, I really want to know about number 1.
