What a neat movie! I saw it with my brother today and we both left the theatre very impressed. Carrey's performance is very subtle and natural and Gondry's direction is great! There are lots of rad visual tricks and it's a fun movie to watch for that. All the performances are terrific too; you like every character, even Elijah Wood's who is so incredibly sleazy and pathetic.

The movie is so great in part because, at least for me, it strikes so close to home, making it hard to watch sometimes. A lot of the film's strikingly accurate and bittersweet portrayal of a relationship, with its periods of ecstacy and boredom, its feelings of love and hate, I can relate to as I'm sure anyone can. It's scary going into a relationship knowing that going hand in hand with the happiness will be an equal part of pain, and the movie looks at this dynamic beautifully.

Go see it! You won't be sorry!

Although some will disagree, I think Eternal Sunshine is Charlie Kauffman's best film.

"I'm Fine Without You"-- I've fallen in love with this theater poster because I've constantly told myself this before, as I'm sure most people have also.

I enjoyed the film immensely, and will be seeing it again soon.

My favorite parts:

David Cross yelling "I'm building a birdhouse!"

And the dude totally stoned-out rambling about the Clash, the only band that matters.
