i really don't play heroclix anymore (due mostly to boredom and partly to wizkids)... in fact i haven't bought anything since the first day of critical mass... so i'm not even much of a collector anymore...
but i was thinking about getting about getting involved in the mavel vs game since i'm already a fan of marvel (which keeps me from selling my whole collection of clix), i figure it would be easy to get into the game.
but this is a question to all you ccg players... i've only dabbled a bit in yugi and magic... magic i didn't get involved in because 1) i realized that these cards i just bought will be obsolete after a few sets and 2) i didn't get the strategy except drawing good cards and making a killer deck out of choice combos... for yugi, well i didn't get into that because it was really boring without any strategy.
okay... i'm rambling... to the point... from my experience with card games, it all boils down to $$$ and deck builiding (assuming luck of the draw is equal on both sides). there is very little in-game strategy, which makes the game boring to me. but i admit my experience is limited...
so ccg veterans... is my opinion of ccg's in general correct and should i get involved in the new upperdeck vs game? or is this ccg much of the same blah?
:p
