Who's dog did this man kill to make his career stink so bad nowadays? Being a longtime watcher of wrestling, I am dismayed to see that he has become one of the "Mike Sharp", Barry Horowitz no names. I mean by that, he cannot get a win on his own, no more submission holds for him and darn it he is just starting to look bad. I'm in better shape!

He's pver 50. Perphaps it would be more realistic for you if he outright beat the hell out of wrestlers in their prime, I think not. Besides he's a big name with a dirty tactics game plan. I don't have a problem with that.
He does look bad I agree, but like I said he is over 50. Hell I hope I look that good at 50 plus. I think he should just start wearing a shirt in his matches.

wow fatty,
sorry i asked. i meant that he could very easily be a finesse player like he once was. no reason for realism. AFTER ALL IT IS WRESTLING!
What is he your uncle or something ;)

Hey, Ric Flair is a legend. Granted he is WELL post his prime, but he deserves respect for what he has done in the past.

No nutsack he is not my uncle. Oh and thanks for letting me know wrestling is fake, I never knew that. I guess your gonna tell me there is no Santa Claus either.
Listen Child, why did you even bother posting your comment? Did you only want people to respond to you that agreed with you?

Old man, good wrestler, dirty fighter, whatever you want to call him, the man's still good enough to wear gold. He can still do the things half the guys in the locker room that are half his age WISH they could do. And I'm glad Hunter's on SD now because THE LEGEND KILLER can shine as the new leader of Evolution! Hunter talked about Shawn holding him back? Geez.

I like Ric Flair, I think he's a great microphone talent. However his wrestling suffers if prolonged for too long. They should make him GM of Smackdown and every once in a while have him get in a ring against Vince or Bichoff or someone.

Ric Flair= Legend
Randy Orton= Legend Killer
You do the math.
Ric just had his 55th birthday last month. He has been in wrestling for 32 years. next year it will be 30 years since he was in the plane crash that broke his back in 3 places. After being told he'd never wrestle again and would need at least a year to recover, Ric was back in the ring full time in 4 months. He has many injuries and has done so many blade jobs over the years his forehead is a mass of scartissue that looks like shiney taffy.
I wanna know how the man still walks much less handle the rigors of travel. Can you imagine having your back being broke in 3 places and 30 years later still being tossed 6 feet though the air to land back down on concrete 2 or 3 times a week?

I do like that anytime anyone in any match anywhere does a chest chop, the whole crowd yells 'Wooo!'
Ric Flair needs to be GM or something again and stop wrestling, but he's what you call a phenom, I think.
I remember when I was a little kid I saw pro wrestling on TV and saw "Natureboy Ric Flair" with the long blond hair and cape.....Fast Forward about 25 years til the next time I watched wrestling, and ####ed if Ric Flair isn't still there applying the sleeper hold, figure 4 leg lock, punching low and gouging eyes like there's no tomorrow. Hair is shorter and white...but still the same guy. Though if my "little kid memory serves" he wasn't a bad guy back then. I don't watch wrestling much, but I will say nobody begs for mercy or staggers around and falls flat on their face after being punched like Ric Flair....he's a master. ;)
Yeah. Flair is one of the greatest if not the greatest of ALL TIME. Personally I LOVE how he is being used. I was a huge WCW fan in its later days still, and they made Ric a joke. They pushed him as top tier talent who could beat alot of the younger guys when simply put, at his age, he cannot. Now they have him wrestle, and put on a match that is realistic to his age and shape, while letting his experience give him an edge and a chance in a match. I think its great. The guy looks like he is having a blast. I am sure he knows he cannot keep it up forever, I think hes loving his time in it while he can. His role in Evolution is BEAUTIFUL and being a tag team partner with Batista is great. It lets him be a champion without having to be the guy who dominates a match. It helps offset his age. Its the perfect pairing for him.
Eventually I would love to see him get a big final match, possibly another title win, to retire. Whatever it is, I want to see a Figure Four tap out, and I want to see him, once in his whole #### career, hit a move off the top rope. He gets caught EVERY MATCH and its HILARIOUS to the point me and my friends mark out for it every time, but it would be really cool if he could just hit it once.

I agree with everything you said Gorrack. Me and my buddies also mark out when he goes to the top of the ropes.
I think he should get the big belt one more time and then retire as the champ. Then at the PPV after he retires have the WWE bring back the King of the Ring to crown a new champ. That way we (the fans) would get two things we want.
1) the return of the King of the Ring PPV and Tourny.
2) Ric Flair Champ one last time and see him go out on top as the greatest champ ever.
Just my thoughts.

I would love to see to return of the KotR tournament.
I believe that Ric deserves the chance of winning the World Champion one more time. I think once HHH wins it again, (and we all know he will) I hope that Ric will win it from H to break up Evolution.
Sorry, Brazil, but your memory is a little off. Ric Flair was one of the best heels in the business. He put over guys like Kerry von Erich and his brothers, Dusty Rhodes, Lex Luger, Sting, Ricky Steamboat, Ron Garvin(though I don't know why), Hawk, and others. He did have brief stints as a fan favorite, but he always went back to heel. It is what he does best.
I loved to hate this guy as a teenager. I was never more happy then when Kerry beat him in Dallas for his brother David's memory.
I do agree that it is time Ric started sporting a shirt......

Just came back to this thread. I love Ric Flair so my reason for posting was no way shape or form a negative bash on Flair. I think it is a travesty what is being done to him, despite what Fatkid (or whatever insipid name he has) thinks.
I agree about him needing to be GM and love the idea of a leglock tap out. He need to shine again in some way...instead of just sweating his walk to the ring.
