Hybrid teams #1...JLA/AVENGERS!

Alright, i'm bored, so i'll post up something kinda nifty I was thinking about and see what people think. If I get at least one post, i'll do another one.

I took some mean mofos from each team...

And then I split them into teams, based on ideoligies, rivalries, and wierd pairings for dramatic effect.

If both teams were dropped, in say, the marvel U, how would they adapt? What positions would they take? Who would be thier villians? How would other hero teams react? What about if they were dropped in the DC U?


And of course, the real biggie, WHO WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT?!!

Edited to say: tenative names for the hybrid teams are appreciated! I'm toying with "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" for Cap's team. Dunnow about Batman's.

Truth, Justice, and the American Way would be media darlings, with Henry Gyrich officially disbanding the Avengers to make room for Cap's new people. There isn't really a question of trust, because of Cap's image and legacy. The others are just thought of as his muscle, mostly. They kiss babies, fight super villians, and are just four-color superheroes through and through. I would say the main villians they would face would be Dr. Doom, Ultron, and most major avenger baddies. They might be considered a little snobby by the other teams, but they would be thought of as "the calvaray"

Batman's group would be faced with extreme mistrust at first, what with a stranger leading them, and a crazy viking, an android who tried to take over the world, and an alchoholic in their roster. However, Stark's PR people take over the situation, and try to make them a team to rival the media sweethearts, to Batman's chagrin and little success. Henry Gyrich would deem them rogues, and they'd share a sort of commradderie with the X-men, as outcasts. Also, Ray Palmer, aka Atom, forges a deep friendship and friendly rivalry with one Reed Richards. The major baddies they would face would be Dr. Doom, many Fantastic Four baddies, the Sinister Six(I would say Spider-Man would hook up with these guys, but idolize Cap's team), and pretty much everyone, from street level to cosmic baddies.


DC U

More of the same, basically. Superman's team would take the public face, and Batman's would skulk in the shadows, for the most part.A new injustice gang, consisting of Lex Luthor, Joker, Circe, Black Manta, a ressurected Sinestro, Protex(white martian),The General, Prometheus, Metallo, and DOOM!(Come on, like he wouldn't come along for the ride) would threaten both teams. The titans and outsiders would favor working with Batman's team, and many solo heroes, such as Steel, would join up with Supes.


As for the battle....it's too close to call, IMO. Supes has mega powerhouses, and sheer strength for sure. Batman has Martian Manhunter and THE MIGHTY THOR!!(tm), both stronger than Wonder Woman, but neither is a match for supes. However, MM's telepathy evens the odds. Vision outpowers Aquaman, Wonder Man(to my knowledge) outpowers Iron Man. The trump cards are The Brave and the Bold, GL and Flash. I'm going with Flash circa New World Order, super duper fast, but not speed god flash. Flash would take down Quicksilver, and GL would slap the bejeezus out of Giant Man, all the while, Atom and Wasp fight to a standstill, as do Bats and Cap.


Leaving...

Bats/Cap(standstill, cap slightly leading, but toally distracted)
Wasp/Atom(Wasp is stronger, Palmer is smarter, pretty even)
THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm)/WW(WW has martial arts, THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm) has strength. WW can live past the first round, but would be sinking fast)
Superman/GL and Flash(Supes, though most likely battered by J'onn J'onzz along with telepathy attacks, but one blast of Heat vision and it's over)
Wonder Man/Vision(Craziness)


Bats and Cap keep fighting...
THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm) lays the smack down on WW, pretty tired
Superman schools rookie GL, but is still tossed around, is smart enough to not get on the ground for an infinite mass punch, takes out Flash.
Vision and Wonderman keep fighting...

We got left...

Bats/Cap(Cap's winning, but batman is still batman)
Supes punches through the Vision, but THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm) finishes off Wonder Man. Supes and THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm), worn down to about equal levels, begin an epic battle.
Atom takes out Wasp


We're left with

Bats/Cap(Cap extends his lead, untill Batman cheats and lodges a Batarang in his leg, about equaling them out)
Supes/THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm)(About equal, totally smakcing each other around)

Atom tries to be sneaky and sneak into Supes ear, but Supes sees him and gives him a low intensity heat blast not killing, but thouroughly incapaciatating Atom. Pretty quick


Batman and THE MIGHTY THOR!!!(tm)(now to be abbreviated as THOR!!!) exchange glances and nod. Thor pushes the grappling Superman back, and uses the most horrendously powerful of all his abilities...UNFETTERED MIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Cap is long since de-shielded, but after his little batarang trick, Cap is smart enough to de-utility belt Bats. They collide in one last blow of willpower and human perfection, and both go down.


THOR!!!!(tm) uses UNFETTERED MIGHT!!!!!!, but Superman super-speed attacks Thor at the same time, axehandling him with all his remaining strength as the hammer completely demolishes Superman's aura of invincibility, reducing him to a mere mortal. They both drop unconciouss to the ground, with the rest of the fighters.

I like this idea. For Cap's team you could say, "JLAvengers Assemble!" Corny or not, I like the call. Anyway, I think if the Cap team was droped in the marvel U, they could all adapt well as if the DC members have all been there. I think Batman may have some troubles; Thor, Vision, and Iron Man are the only Avengers and many people may not listen to reason, I think the majority will, but some won't. Cap's team in the DCU may also do very well just because Superman can tell the right word for them. Batman will also do well because of the same reasons as Cap's team.

Over-all, I think this new idea for the realms could go far if the "reply-es" use their imagination.:p
