The more things change the more they stay the same. Vince PROMISED a new WWE. Yeah right. First of all not very many wrestlers of any significance changed shows. Now with the trades it's even worse. Let's break it down.

Raw's Lottery-Raw got Edge. I'm excited but anyone who's been reading ANY internet reports knew he was going to Raw for the past two months. No surprise. Nidia I am glad for. A new face in the women's title picture. She was stagnating on SD. Shelton Benjamin is the best pick up they got that noone knew about. Tajiri and Rhyno. Great. Sunday Night Heat got more main eventers. The lasy pick was wasted because Heyman quit.

Raw's trades-Raw got A-Train and Chuck Palumbo. And this is good why? And yes. Raw got HHH back. Yawn. I was actually excited that HHH was going to SD, both to see him on his own FOR ONCE and so that Randy would be the focal point of Evolution. Yawn.

SD's Lottery-SD got Rene Dupree which I think will actually help them. He has skills if they would just get him a decent program. And dump the "French Tickler". Theodore R Long. With Ron Simmons being fired and Shelton going to Raw, unless Teddy's gonna be a ref again, he's got noone to "represent". RVD is the equalizer for Raw getting Edge. Fair enough. Mark Jindrak PLEASE TAG HIM WITH O HARE AGAIN! Otherwise I don't care. Spike Dudley desperately needs a push and I pray he gets it.

SD's trades-SD got Booker T and both Dudleys. Who are the heel teams on SD now? Are there any? Yet they get the Dudleys and Booker and RVD. And with Heyman quitting Kurt Angle's the GM? I know he's hurt but I don't buy it. Vince wanted to beef up SD's roster to help their ratings. A new WWE? No. I don't think so. Pardon me if my disinterest shows a little too much. They had me when they had HHH on SD. Now, forget it. They dropped the ball bigtime.

What's wrong with Kurt Angle? How did he get elected to become the GM? Is Evolution still together on RAW and was the Rock and Sock apart of that Draft Lottery, if they were, were they there for it?

No, nothing Vince ever does again could be botched as bad as that. The one and only guaranteed monster storyline in the modern wrestling era and he blows it.

Yeah, that's what I was expecting too.

Maybe Booker will get a push on SD, that'd be nice. I'm psyched to see him and RVD (can't watch RAW, have no cable :( ) Sorry SD didn't get HHH, oh well.

Heel teams? Bashems. seem like good workers.

Some how HHH, A Train and Palumbo doesn't seem fair for the Dudleys and Booker T. Oh well,

heh heh he said wrestling and bogus in the same sentance, and he was serious ;)

Kurt's neck injury is acting up again. He expirenced numbness in his hands, and light-headedness (is that a word?) before the WM match against Eddie. It is likely that he'll never wrestle again. It's too bad, really, he's one of the greats in the business. We'll never see another wrestler quite like him. Hopefully, the time off from wrestling will help, and he can continue his in-ring carrer.

Hmmmm.... So Booket T and RVD are off the HHH show? So they're no longer in the shadow of the HHH belt? Sweet! They might actually get the pushes they deserve. AND to top it all off A-train isn't on SD anymore! Ok, it's not as good as him getting hit by an actual train but I'll take it. Between that and Benoit winning at Wrestlemania I can start watching wrestling again.

Eh, things didn't turn out as bad as I thought. Here's my general thoughts:

Nidia to RAW: Now she'll get a chance to actually wrestle, which we know she has the potential to do. That, and putting her on the same show as Jazz makes here look that much more attractive. LOL, sad but true.

Tajiri to RAW: Smackdown shot itself in the foot getting rid of him. Too much of their roster is devoted to the Cruiserweight division, so losing even one is bad news.

Shelton Benjamin to RAW: Well, it's been obvious that they're trying to push him, so this wasn't too big of a surprise. I just hope he can make a name for himself.

Rico and Jackie to Smackdown: GASP! Someone with a personality on Smackdown? Inconceivable! LOL. Okay, Rico doesn't have that much personality, but his metro persona should at least make a few matches more fun. And now Jackie can be with the rest of her fellow arm candy Divas.

RVD to Smackdown: With HHH traded back to RAW, it seems that he'll be one of the bigger names on the show. I'd love to think that this'd mean a title run for him, but I think they'd have given him one by now if they'd ever intended one for him. Well, there's still hope.

Booker T to Smackdown: Same as RVD.

HHH to Smackdown, then straight back to RAW: BOO! HISS! BAD! The one thing I hoped for the entire night was for Evolution to be split up in some way. Having HHH go to Smackdown would've been the perfect way to do it, but then they had to go and take it back. VERY disappointed.

Spike Dudley to Smackdown: At least now he'll be with the rest of the Cruiserweights, though I fear he'll even be a jobber amongst them. I'd love to see him succeed, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

Theodore Long to Smackdown: Well, with Benjamin gone and Ron Simmons fired, the only people I could think of for him to manage would be Orlando Jordan, Shaniqua, and Booker T. At the moment I think that moving him was a bad idea, but I'll wait a few weeks to see what exactly they do with him before I pass final judgement.

And now, a couple trades that I think should have happened:

Hurricane to Smackdown: He's a Cruiserweight, so he needs to go back to a division where he can flourish. They could have either had Rosie come with him or have Hurricane graduate him to full superhero status and claiming that his work on RAW was done.

John Cena to RAW: With the cable TV format he'd be able to rap without getting censored as much. That, and for some reason I can see him and Austin having a semi-feud, i.e. rubbing each other the wrong way despite the fact they're very much alike.

Goldberg to Smackdown: With Lesnar gone they could use Goldberg to take his spot very well. He's out for contract negotiations right now, so this could very well end up happening anyway.

Well, I guess we'll see how well these work out in the weeks to come. As always, I remain relentlessly optimistic.

Why was Ron Simmons fired? I haven't been following the dirt sheets.

I think the draft was the biggest waste of time since the last draft. What exactly did they shake up? I was so excited when Triple H was sent to Smackdown because I never watch Smackdown. All they did was break up the F.B.I and swap #### wrestlers that nobody cares about.

I just wish RVD would have been traded back to RAW and Triple H kept on Smackdown.

I was slightly disappointed with the Draft Lottery. The one thing I was hoping to happen did, Triple H got sent to SD. Then the trades. Very Very Disappointed. SD once again has no one to carry the Heavyweight title with the exception of RVD. Eddie is a fun champion, but he's not THE champion. So now the only potential champs on Smackdown are Big Show, RVD, Undertaker, and possibly Booker T. They need to put an end to this whole "Seperate shows" thing and just reunite the roster.

Joe Kerr

I personally wish they would combine the shows and fire the majority of the Smackdown wrestlers and A-Train.

Hey everyone!

I thought the draft on Monday was sweet! But the SmackDown! taping changed it all and left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't get to watch SmackDown!, so I was glad to see HHH moving over there (as I was for RVD. He's only a spotfest after all. :) ).

Diablo445: Goldberg has stated he'll NEVER work for WWE again. Which is a good thing, I guess. And Shaniqua is in OVW, as she wasn't getting over.

Joe Kerr: It wasn't revealed why the "real" reason Ron was fired, except for "inapropriate activities" during a recent tour. On air, it was due to the APA losing a match. As for the actual lottery, only a few of the picks were "written" (HHH; Paul Heyman; RVD). Most of the guys in the back didn't find out until a couple of minutes before RAW aired if they were switched or not.

As for Kurt, I love this dude in the ring, but I can't stand his personality, or the fact that he was pushed waaaay too quickly (along with John Cena, Lesnar, and Goldberg back in his day). The bad thing now is that (with him and Austin), Angle is a wrestler who's on-air, and not wrestling, which, in my opinion, is just a waste of money. Have Angle be a legitamate trainer for the up and comers (since they really, really need it), and just fire Austin. He's doing absolutely nothing.

On to the trades I wanted to see:

John Cena to RAW: This guy has major potential! He needs some more in ring work, but his personality is flat out brilliant! And since, in my opinion, RAW is more gimmick based, than wrestling talent based, he'd be perfect here.

Hurricane to SmackDown!: I don't like the gimmick, but he'd fit perfectly with the Crusierweights.

The King to SmackDown! and Tazz to RAW: If you saw the JR/Tazz commentary on the Royal Rumble, you know why I say this.

Yeah the Lottery sucked. HHH is actually doing some #### good work lately and I really like the evolution gimmick. I also wanted to see him go, but hes stepped up the game lately. Plus I see a fued with Edge, or Randy Orton ( HHH calls himself a legend, give it time. Maybe HHH would give him the rub...ohhahahahahaha. Its HHH. My bad. Almost fooled myself even that time! )

I like all of the former Team Angle too. I believe Charaxes is wrong in that he will never wrestle again. Last i heard his necks report was more positive than expected but they planned to lighten his load anyways in order to give him more longevity in his career. I hope so, he is my favorite wrestler currently and given 5 more years could be up for recognition as one of the best ever.

I think the WWE needs to competely overhaul their announcer core. JR and the King are the only two that have any talent at all. Tazz, as much as I loved to watch him wrestle in the old ECW days, he sucks as an announcer. Al Snow and the Coach is the WORST announcing duo in the history. Michael Cole is no better.

The SmackDown roster could use some better talent. I hated most of the tag-teams there. I hate The Bashems, and Rishiski and Scotty, so I'm glad the Dudleys were traded there. I hope that Booker and RVD are split up, because I like RVD as a singles wrestler more. However, of all of RVD's parters, Booker T seems like his best fit.

I agree that Hurricane should have gone to SD. He would have thrived there and pairing him with Rosey is a joke. As long as they are together that's all it will be. He is far too charismatic and talented to be wasted. Plus I would have loved a promo from just ONE Hurricane/Cena tag team match! lol

Cena to Raw would have near killed SD at this point. Like him or hate him, Cena and Taker are the face gravy trains for the show right now.

Angle's injury is still in doubt as to whether he'll wrestle again. 50/50 depending on who you talk to but WWE isn't willing to take any chances at this point but still wants Kurt there.

Ron Simmons reportedly was fired for failing a substance abuse test and then refusing to seek help. Plus he was very moody and demanding the night of WMXX even going so far as to refuse to ride on the bus to the Garden with all of the other wrestlers and insisting a limo ride.

SD is already having weak ratings and with Monday Night Football possibly moving to Thursday to compete with SD and Survivor, I thought a big name like HHH was their only hope. What they have now much as I like alot of the guys, it just won't cut it. The audience will be even more split then it is now and will hurt SD more. Stephanie coming back would have instantly propelled their ratings alone as that 9/10 of the fan base want it (INCLUDING ME!!!). They need an answer and Monday night definitely was NOT it.

Plus now Booker and Bradshaw are both heels with Booker apparently getting the heel shot at Eddie and the WWE Title. Yawn. And Bradshaw is a heel proud of his financial success. Yawn. Talk about heat killers.

I never really liked Booker as the World Champ, I don't know, I just see him as a mid-card superstar. I hope that RVD gets a major push.

Eddie vs. Booker? I can't believe I'm going to say this but, I really hope Booker takes the title.

I think the real reason for moving Jackie Gayda to SD is because of her wardrobe malfunctions they can edit them there. Too Bad for us!

One of the things I wanted most was to get all the arm-candy chicks to SD and the actual TALENT to Raw, which they more or less did - if only we could trade Stacy for Shaniqua...

Smackdown won out with a sorely needed shot in the arm for their Tag division, which was really hurting, and I'm glad RVD and Booker are still together, though I don't know if they'll actually STAY together. If Booker turns heel, I just won't buy it. The guy doesn't work as a villain, for me. RVD, Booker, and Rene Dupree finally get the chance to shine, and Rico n' Jackie go where they could be more appreciated.

Meanwhile, Raw got carpped on. Shelton Benjamin is a mover & shaker, but come on! We all knew Edge was Raw all the way, and the surprise guys are Palumbo, Rhyno, and friggin' A-Train?!? Give us a break. And I, too, would rather have Evolution split; send Flair to the back room with the other dinosaurs, and team up Orton and Batista. These guys work well together, as a team or just as associates. None of the championship pictures got changed for Raw, except for the Women's division, and I'm not sure enough people follow that like they ought to - it's getting pretty impressive, all things considered.

So, yeah, major disappointment, but it ought to make Smackdown a bit more interesting.
