Yes, I'm a big fan of this book. It does a lot of things right...it captures a lot of the whole "living up to dad", plus being a sidekick, on a super team...the works. Excellent superhero title.

2nd trade came out. I am picking it up this weekend, along with issue 9 and 10.
The first trade was just great. Mark is what Superman would have been if he wasn't raised by the Kents. A cool typical teenager.
The characters introduced so far within the first trade were great. Also the plot twist was really cool.
If you like Invincible, pick up Brit. Its 2 issues a year. But those two issues are the best comics that I have ever read.

Upon recommendation, I purchased the first Invincible trade paperback. I thought it was alright; I might purchase the second.
I really enjoyed the introduction by Kurt Busiek. Hmmm...I wonder where Busiek gathered inspiration for his Secret Identity series.:)
I liked the symbiotic relationship between the art and colors; precisely captures the tone of the book. In addition, I enjoyed the subtle and tongue-in-cheek humor of Kirkman.
I have a feeling the series will grow on me the more I think about it.

Argghhhh!
Why aren't YOU reading Invincible yet?
IMHO, this is one of the best books on the shelves, period.
GO READ IT NOW!
That is all.
:)
By all means BUY THIS BOOK!
I judge books by which book i read first, upon arriving home each week (this is also how I downsize, by dropping the last book I read)
This book gets read ahead of every other. It is just that good. Great characterization, dialogue, plot, plot twists, new twists on old comic book stand-bys, (like the big bad government agency, run by a good guy) it's just all there.
IF you want an entertaining superhero book, that will continually delight and surprise you with it's direction, this is the book for you.

there really is something magic about this title. I can't put my finger on it specifically but the book comes out as such a well rounded package, there is nothing left to be desired. This is the kind of book that people will talk about 20 years from now, like clarmonts early run on x-men or even lee's run on spider-man. I think this book will put the writer on the map big time. I can only hope he signs up with marvel or dc to see what he can do in their play grounds, imagine the writer doing spider-man, teen titans, robin, superman. I think this guy could excel in just about any title.
