Sorry to hear that.
Are pet monkeys common in the US?
I think it would be absolutely impossible to have a pet monkey in Germany.

The scene is rather odd, tough, because she sits on a bed and does nothing.
I think it is meant to show innocence and how the character is influenced by other people. I couldn't bring myself to watch the full movie, so that's just a guess.

Not to interrupt the Ricci-isms, but you Sandra-worshippers (isn't that who this thread is supposed to be about anyway?) can go try to get her some 'Clix by clicking here (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96773).

Just let Psylockeslover know that you think she should get them. :)

I dunno, as much as I'd love to see "Pink N' Fuzzy" get the clix, I felt bad trying to push her candacy over Ms_Marvel_77. I mean both ladies have been through a lot, but I think Ms Marvel would apprieciate them more. I will submit to the flaming now.

Just my thoughts.
I have added my vote for Ms_Marvel_77 as little as it may count and as little it may mean to her in her situation.
Not wanting to be mean to Sandra (for this one time, that is) she has gotten quite a few things from the community and even had the insurance company pay for her lost clix (though not reflecting their real value).

EmperorNorton

JacinB
06/01/2004, 16:43
That's a possibility, freakazoid_x. I'm just voting for the person I've actually interacted with. :)

Ms_Marvel_77 is certainly a worthy candidate as well. But I thought that she'd already had a large network of people that donated a bunch of 'clix to her, while I haven't seen anything similar for Sandra.

Either way, I would think that one of the ladies ought to get it rather than the "I want to get some to share with my friends" guys. I mean, c'mon. I'd share them with my friends, too ... that doesn't mean that I should get them, you know?

freakazoid_x
06/01/2004, 16:47
Well both ladies have gotten a little help from all of us. I do remember reading that Ms Marvel couldn't bear to look at her sons clix, that's why she sold them. I actually teared up a bit when I read that. I think that if anything someone should get them, sell them, and then give the MONEY to Ms Marvel.

However Pinkie would apprieciate the figures themselves more. in my heart I'd give the figs to Ms. Marvel in a second but in my head... the only suggestion submitting part of my body I listen to, it's a toss up.

Well said. While I feel horrible for what you've had to go through, I cannot imagine the pain this poor young woman has felt. I just can't fathom it. Also, from what I gathered she sold off her son's clix b/c she couldn't bear to look at them... so maybe just giving the box to her wouldn't be a good idea. Like someone else said, sell them off and give her the money or something like that. It's awesome to see someone who has experienced her own personal tragedy still be able to put it in perspective when compared to the tragedy sufferred by someone else.

Since the last thread involving my avatar was shut down, I figure I would put my last post about it here. If everyone reads over my posts in HCRealms, they do not cry out for attention, they are either reviews, team ideas, or trade threads. Not once have I blunty said, "Hey, I am a girl. Google over me and my boobs." Not once. My posts are here to try and help people futher enjoy heroclix. My avatar, be it an attention getter, was abit untasteful. But what girl doesn't like attention? Ask your wives or girlfriends, they love it. They'll pick fights just so you'll pay attention to us if it comes down to us. Most girls love attention. Period. Now after I was asked to change my avatar, I immaturely flipped out, flipped off my webcam and posted it as an avatar. Now hopefully no one will flip out because I have my hand in the shape of a gun and kick me off of a boarding plane or something, but I've toned it down. As for my first avatar, I do not apologize for it, lord knows there are worst things for children to see out there, but for the one that got me the warning points, that was out of line and done out of spite and anger. I was wrong in doing so and apologize to the HCRealms community for flipping everyone off. Now I put this subject to rest.

Gacy's Clown

Can a mod please close this thread, because that honest apology was really untasteful and offensive...:cheeky:

06/06/2004, 23:19
I understand the frustration over your original avatar. It seems to me the general consensus was mostly positive (maybe a little too positive if you know what I mean). Some people just like to cause trouble I guess. But I think most would agree that your reviews and team building and whatnot is very well-done and helpful. And although I wasn't offended by the bird avatar (since I knew you weren't flipping me off personally) I accept your apology. ;)

These are not the words of a "girl" but a very intelligent young woman! Lets hope most young women will be as mature and strong, as it does take strength to confront life and its situations as you have done. Its also a eye opener to hear a ladies view of heroclix strategies and events. I don't believe I am alone when I say that Sandra Wu-San is an enlightening addition to the Realm from a readers point of view. She has brought a lot to the table and we get better reading because of her. We all must grow through our mistakes, but few of us confront them as well as this even though we should. Thank you for sharing with us, Sandra!

He’s not really mean but he is a wise ###! If you don’t know him some of the things he says makes him seem like an ### whole.

But I will agree that a lot of his statements seem to be taken the wrong way.

Probably because of his past here on the Realms. Right Basil?;) :p

Alright fine just to entertain you guys. (like a bunch of kids)

Hey Sandra I have herd that you are attending DragonCon this year.

A few of us are going to be hitting the town either Friday or Saturday night. Some of the guys want to see some of Atlanta’s top notch Gentleman’s clubs. If you are interested or just have nothing better to do after the Con you are more than welcome to join us.

What do you say?

When you say Gentlemen's Club, do you mean strip joints? If so, count me out. But yeah, I am going to DragonCon. Leaving Friday and attending Saturday and Sunday. So I am getting in late Friday and might meet up with a few online friends. So "Gentlemen's Club" no thanks. But if we go to a bar/steakhouse (love 'em) I'll buy some of the more popular (by popular I mean, I know your user name by heart.) people on HCrealms a drink ;)

Yeah a lot of chicks aren't into the strip joint thing. That's cool.

Emeril's Atlanta.

I worked at all these places in the past and still know the managers (and bartenders!!)

Did your judge not try to make tourneys around things like this or perhaps make house rules to prohibit it? Did you say something to him/her about this. Surely he would in some way be understanding.
It is unfortunate that you would get so angry over it that you would completely quit. Maybe you should wait a week and see what you feel like then.

Not b/c you're a cute girl that happens to play Heroclix but b/c you're a great Heroclix player that happens to be a cute girl. I will miss your off-beat reviews of figures that are often neglected. I hear you on the tournament thing. The last few constructed tournaments I've played in there have been at least three teams w/ HSS and multiple con artists and that does get old. I'd wait a little bit before you sell your collection though. You might change your mind. Either way, best of luck to you whatever you decide to do...

I have meant to comment on this but forgot. The reason I asked is because as judges we sign agreements as independent contractors with Wizkidz. If we are doing our job correctly then we do not lose players for things like this. The judge is the one who should solve this problem.
I sell this product all the time as a judge. People will come over ask what the game is about. And, I use my forked tounge to pull in new customers.
I bring this up to show what this individual is doing wrong. I make house rules and scenarios to prevent this from happening and the game from becoming static ( I think static is the right word [I am such a moron]).
I do not know what your good bye post said. I would have taken my frustration out on the judge or the player in question. But, that is me.
Good luck with your VS. if you get into it. I wish you would reconsider. This game obviously brings you a great deal of joy. At least keep enough of your figures to play friendly games.
And you can still do your figure reviews that these cats are apparently very fond of.
Thats all .

You know that's the case. I can see it now, cute girl beats boys at game. Boys get mad, jealous and upset. The game now looses fun and becomes a pissing contest. It's sad that that's the case.

I personally don't mind loosing, especially to cute girls. It takes a bigger man to be humble and have an open mind and learn from one's mistakes as opposed to using stacking perples HSS (with a Jane Foster in the background). I think people loose sight that the game should be about fun and NOT winning. ;)

I admit had I never found a venue thats fun I'd have probably quit a long time ago.

There are rougly 3-4 store I have the option of playing at in my general area.

Only one of them is *fun*. The Judge has laid down rules to help curb perplex and every week we have a senerio instead of the basic 300pnts anything.

The game it fun when you find the right venue.

I also agree Wizkids needs to change a couple of rules cause the die-hard tourny scene sucks the fun right out of the game.

I do not necesarilly believe it is Wizkids fault. I stick by what I said yesterday. The judges have to change this game. I only play scenarios in an attempt to stop people stacking perplex and things like that. Some of my house rules (that I really need to print out and put up at my venues) are:
only one con-artist can be played.
NO pogs (Alfred is cheese)
I tweeked the way invisible girl could be played (as far as when you could put her on a team.

I have noticed lately that if you have people playing in Battle Royale tourneys that everyone is alot happier. It gives everyone a chance to sit back and have fun. We can pop jokes on each other and just play. So, I believe I will probably have on of these every month or month in a half.

As judges WE have to keep players. Wizkidz just creates the figures and the rules. WE can tweek them as long as it is not too drastic to make any of the players angry. Besides, there is noone sitting over your shoulder saying that you have to do it this way.

Sandra, don't do it!!! I can guarentee you will find the same type of stuff going on in Vs. There are several overpowering strategies in that game and the tournament scene is even worse than in Clix. That game, more so that clix, boils down to who can spend the most $$ to get the best cards.

Don't get me wrong, I like the game. Vs is nice for an alternate game to play when I get burned out on clix, but it has it's pros and cons too.

How exactly do you want to make sure Basil doesn't choke on a pretzel? #### on 'em until they are soft?

Norton, was just poking fun at our president we have now. Billions in 'home land security' and he chokes on a pretzel. The best part was when the French sent him a bag of pretzels as a gift shortly after we invaded Iraq.

How I want to save Basil? Because hopefully I'm the vice president candidate. But that means if he chokes and dies on a pretzel, the vice president becomes...... :devious:

See, that's my whole strategy with running as Vice President to ThugIt. All of the Ninjas are like, "What the dude, Luvster? Why are you hanging out with a pirate, when Gacy's Clown (the Ninja Master) is running?"
But my logic is, if for some crazy reason Gacy doesn't get elected and ThugIt manages to win, and something were to happen to him... It's a win-win situation for the Ninja.
Plus, I was promised a KC Superman. ;)

But you and Basil are throwing a monkey wrench into my whole plan, Miss Wu-San... :)

So that's whaht those crazy kids are calling it today, huh?

The KC Supes would be secondary to my rise to power, fellas. The important thing is to get a Ninja in office, really.

And what the dude are we talking about this carp here for? It's as if all threads are merging into one...

BTW - is it just me, or did this thread start a fashion revolution? Every girl I see these days is sporting pink. The new Black, indeed...

Yeah. Bye now.

My guess, is that you are blossoming into a young man and just now noticing girls. We've been wearing pink for awhile now. lol

Sorry I'm too busy trying to "notice" girls when they're not wearing clothes. And by notice I mean hiding in the bushes with high powered binocular lenses on my camera. And praying they don't have a big dog.

Seriously though I am seeing a lot more pink lately. I saw some dude come into this club I was drinking at a few nights ago. He has a bright pink suit on. A business suit, like for meetings and such, only it was bright pink. With a black leather tie. After staring for a while I am pretty sure no buzz was worth me staying in proximity of this person for another minute.

I watched Casper... and I admit it proudly for one reason.

Dan Akroids 5 second cameo as Ray from the Ghostbusters.

That's all I needed to keep me happy for the rest of the movie. Thereby making Casper a Ghostbusters knock-off. Thereby making it awesome. Not as awesome as Ghostbusters one and two. But still okay.

Heck, I sat through the whole mess that is "That Darn Cat" and I liked it!
I love "Monster" because Christina looks even better in it than usual. I only wished they had excluded stupid Charlize Theron, because she lay on Christina when she was naked...

I don't get the Donkey Kong message. What does it mean?

DaLuvster89
08/18/2004, 10:06
It pretty much means, "It's go time!" (E.I. "It's on!")
The Donkey Kong part is like an analogy, as if you were playing the video game Donkey Kong, and the big angry monkey hits you with a barrel a couple of times, you might be like, "Oh, it's on now, Donkey Kong! You are going down!!!"

My interpretation: "I am pumped up and ready to flip out as if Donkey Kong kept chucking barrels at me." But it's hard to fit all of that into the little space above your avatar. Plus, "It's on like Donkey Kong" has a nice flow to it. It rhymes a bit.

One of those sayings like, "Stinkin' like Lincoln" or "Shakin' like a Jamaican" or "Sweatin' like a Tibetan."

That's just my take, but I have been known to be wrong in the past...

Hey guys and gals,

Not sure if anyone mentioned it in here or not, but Gacy's Clown was representing the Fuzzy Pink....Hat Clan at GenCon this year. The man actually owns a big Fuzzy Pink Hat, and wore it a lot during the 4 days at GenCon. It seriously busted my @$$ up. Anyway, just thought I'd send some props to Gacy.

Hey Sandra if you check this anytime soon I just saw a show on VH1 called obsessed and there's a girl on there that everything she owns is pink. Like she'll buy two pink handbags in case one wears out.:ermm:

But here's the kicker. She has a white cat and about once a month (or something like that) she dyes her cat pink. Thought of you and your hat when I saw it.
