Well Sandra, I have done as you asked and donated some money to the red cross. They helped my family out during the floods back in 96 so I should have donated anyway.

I wish I could have given blood but there are factors that keep it inside my body.

Any assistance we can provide to you or anyone else (most of my other friends in the area have made it through okay. However there is still one person MIA after the first Hurricane I am desperately worried about.) Be sure to make your voice heard.

First wildfires, then a hurricane. Did you ever get the feeling that the cosmos is having some huge joke at your expense?

I went through a similar series of events when I went to college in Texas. Fled the coastal region to escape a Hurricane, only to get pounded by tornadoes in San Antonio. Then when we came back, Cicadas (locust) came out of their hibernation and were everywhere. I kept waiting for rains of frogs, or Rivers of blood. (Actually we did have a blight of Red Tide in Corpus Christi Bay a few years earlier. hmmm........)

Glad to hear Sandra's OK. hope that all our other friends make it too.

GG, the clix survived. I took alot of clothes, clixs, and my pets to my parents' house and weathered it out there. Freakazoid, thank you for donating.

Ivan is right on the way to my best friends front door. I just doubled my donation. Anyone who doesn't donate and wasn't convinced by Sandra's polite request had better be influenced by my best friend. Because if there isn't enough supplies to make it around to her she is going to kick some serious arse. And no one wants that.

Sandra,

You can start the claim process by calling your agent. Likely his phone will be forwarded to the Catastorpe call center.

Alternately you can call 1-800-SFCLAIMS. I volunteered for the call center yesterday (Illinois is the sister state for Florida, so we are assisiting in setting up claims) and I will be here this morning from 6-9AM (CST). They will get your claim set up and it will then be assigned to an adjuster down in the area.

Most claims yesterday were from wind damage. Quite a few shingles blown off and major tree damage. Some flooding from what I hear as well. Hope everything's going well.

Looks like Jean is loosing quite a bit of power, so you guys might get by her. Now we're keeping an eye on Karl. Looks like a busy season for you guys.

What's up with this Sandra girl? I'm new to these boards, but I'm not new to clix at all. Almost every thread I go to, I read something about this "Sandra" and then I find this thread.

So who is she?

Some nice hot number that gets everyone all rowdy on HC?

I mean, this girl has a cult following around 'ere. Cats are jumping through hoops and posting left and right.

Not trying to come off like a jerk, I just want to know.

PS: Being here in Orlando, my prayers are with those who lost anything at all during Charlie or Frances. When my lil cousin lost all of his Heroclix in a house fire, the players of Orlando really came through at the Ultimates Pre-release and ended up giving him more Heroclix than he had before. The crew and I are more than willing to help out anyone that has lost something during these storms if we can. If you're in the Orlando area and need help or would like a friendly game to help take your mind off of the recent storms, PM ya boy.

PSS: Stay tuned for the YoungTG "King of the South, Florida Heroclix tour" this fall. All major cities in FL are getting a visits from YoungTG and the crew every weekend. We're coming to promote a positive spirit for the game (and to win, so bring the "A" game). If you know a good venue that needs a visit, PM ya boy.

No offense Sandra... but right now the only reward I need is knowing my best friend is all right. I haven't heard from her since she went home from school to round up her cats and be with her folks. Usually I don't hear from her when she goes home on the weekends. Essentially this is a long weekend type situation only instead of work and homework there is scattered power outages, flooding, and a pissed off mother nature. She's a tough girl and I am pretty confident that it would take more than a little hurricane to stop her.

Still, the e-mail she sent me before she went home was enough to freak me out. Haven't slept right since I got it, didn't sleep last night. I'm going to pop some pills to sleep tonight. Something I never EVER do because sleep assist aid drugs are really really bad and mess you up for 12 to 16 hours after you take them. But I need to be able to think clearly tomorrow for my Heroclix tourney IF I GO.

Needless to say I am frustrated and a little more non-rational than usual.

So please, donate to Red Cross or other charaties (with the exceptions of the ones Sandra says are useless, I trust her judgement there). If for any other reason than to get that "reward" from Sandra.

Or to prevent my vengeful wrath.

Donate... ya buncha cheapskates!

YoungTG

Yep, it's that time again...

Been two weeks since the last hurricane scare, so now it looks like FL is about to be smashed yet again.

Over 1000 dead in Haiti from the Category 2 Hurricane Jeanne that took a turn yesterday and is scheduled to strike Brevard county on Sunday morning.

Top that off with the fact that Ivan is REFORMING in the Gulf and is now a tropical storm, and you've got Floridians that should stock up on the essentials once more.

Now I know that Sandra resides in south FL, but this goes out to everyone from Richmond VA to the FL Keys:

Be Safe and be smart.

PS: What are the chances of the missing votes from 2000 being unearthed by this next hurricane? :noid:

I hate you, Jeb...you stole my vote.

Okay, time to exploit this clan for my own benefits. Anybody here work for Statefarm? Not only have I not recieved my money for the damage from the fire, but since the home is still in my name, I have to make claims for Frances and Jeanne as well, so now I have paid 3 deductables, been run around with those FEMA sob's, and I am broke, still don't have money from the claim I made almost 2 months ago, and now my home is completely gone thanks to a tree that fell on the house allowing the wind to tear the rest down. So if anybody that reads this works for FEMA (thanks for nothing or the loan bastards) or Statefarm (don't take it personally if I call you the antichrist for working for them) PM me or email me at thewusan@aol.com Thanks everyone.

Good news from such a horrible event. 3 deductables. A fire, and 2 hurricanes. Not a dime and over $3000 in deductables/move-in fees. Until now. My daddy and his friend Chris were on the phone with State Farm all week and today they went out to the old house. Assessed the damages, which they already did for the fire and Frances, and wrote a check. Enough to pay off the house with well enough over to buy furniture, car, clothes, appliances, electronics. After all the bills and expenses, I am coming out on top! If I keep up in good spirits, the whole clan might get a case of Mutant Mayhem! (yes I have that much left over to do so!)

No, nothing special.
Until about 5 years ago Halloween was mostly unknown in Germany, but since then it is a big trend.
For the most part it is just like in the US. Do teenagers go out and egg houses and cars?

All I want to know is how far away is Amsterdam, and can we celebrate Halloween there? Never been, want to go. Want to see the clubs, canibus huts/stores/etc, the ### shows, and I want to kick some international clix butt!

It's about a two to three hours drive to Amsterdam, so it's within reach.
But it is not an option for me this Halloween. I'm expected at the party of a friend..

What is a(n) "###"?

55 million americans can't be wrong...oh wait, yes they can. Four more years, a skirmish with Syria, about one thousand more dead American soldiers, higher gas prices, weaker middle class, and an economy so low that you can field it in 100 point heroclix games with room left over for a couple con-artist and a paramedic.

You didn't hear it from me first, but I'm saying it now anyway.

Hilary in 2008? Oh gawd...

...four more years...

I was thinkin' four more years of:
"I don't believe in polution, I'll do what I #### well please, I can't believe I'm President, Thanks for the donation, #### that Michael Moore, Drag some Brits along (and you know we'll come) as token allies so our boys aren't the only one's getting shot at/it doesn't look like we're some rogue nation stomping on anyone that looks at us funny, where's my soup, where am I, what year is this, WHO'S THE PRESIDENT,..."

Bah, I'm not angry. And this doesn't seem to be a HeroClix thread, more of a "what's on my mind today" thing - Bush was on YoungTG's mind.

It's over though, deal. Politics will get this thing shut down so fast though.

I thought there was less rigid censoring of the clans, since they're kind of intended for way-off-topic discussion.

This thread is about ALL things pink and fuzzy. Doesn't that include politicians?

Since were on the topic....I live in OH and we were one of the states that had an issue banning same gender marriages. I think Kerry lost the state because the ultra-conservatives came out in droves to vote for that issue. If that wasn't on OH ballot I don't think Bush would have the state.
