Ok I played Stardust, as everyone probably knew I would. and I pulled a Winter Soldier and Shang Chi to back him up.

Molested the first team. It consisted of,

Molecule Man
Iron Man
Bucky

Pretty decent game, he managed to destroy Shang Chi, but after that his Molecule man had already died and his Bucky was hurtin. The Crit Miss on WS with Iron Man didn't help him either. Ended up being Stardust CCE'ing him for 5 at the end.

2nd team was,

Ares...

Blasted him for 3 with Winter Soldier right off the bat. Game over. Shang Chi ended up finishing him.

The 3rd round is where it gets interesting. I was watching the battle between the two who were playing to face me. One was,

Silver Surfer
Grim Reaper

This is the team that I was rooting against. I was very scared of the HSS Out action. So I prayed for the second team to wipe it for me.

The other was,

FireLord
Hawkeye
Yondu
Jimmy Woo
And one other Pog.

Luckily in the End the Firlord came out on Top. He managed to knock him into RS and it was downhill from there.

Needless to say, it was mainly just cleanup final round, considering his max attack was 11. I lost Shang Chi Again, and WS came out to be the MVP of this game. Overall a greatly fun tourny. Anyone else have any battle stories? I'd love to hear your epic CoG tales.

I don't believe he's very different, if at all. I'll compare the two tonight. I don't have the older version, so I'll just compare online. I believe he possibly has new scenario tokens. Unless the other had them as well.

My story isn't nearly as interesting as yours, Hawk, but here it is...

In week 4 I played the following team:
USAgent
Hawkeye
Shang Chi
Thunderstrike

First round was against an Iron Man based team with Shang Chi SR Quicksilver and a few I can't recall. I lost, horribly. Iron Man packed a mean punch and I relied waaay too much on Thunderstrike. No MVP to mention.

2nd round was much better. I played against Baron Zemo, Wiccan, Two Gun Kid, Black Panther. Damn Zemo took out half my team with blades/claws. Dude kept rolling a 6. Panther went down 1st. Had to get rid of the perplex. Next was Wiccan, then Zemo. Two Gun didn't last long after that. Hawkeye was my MVP that round.

3rd was tougher. Fought another Two Gun team with Shang Chi, Scarlet Witch (Ult), Luke Cage and another I can't remember. It goes without saying that Scarlet Witch was a major pain in the @$$. It also goes that Thunderstrike went down first again. sigh *shakes head* Anyway, It came down to USAgent and the Witch. On his last click, he took her down with flurry. A hard won victory. USAgent was my MVP. I really like him, especially now. ;) Ended up with a buy (or bye, whichever) at the end of the tourney - which was worthless since I didn't even go to the championship week. :cry:

I didnt win the big G but one of my best friends did and he was the only person I lost to in the tourny. I actually pulled Giant Man so my team was set from the start, Giant Man and Terrax.

First team I played against was a Stardust team, think it was Stardust, Grim Reaper and Quicksilver. KOed Quicksilver first with a heavy object from Giant Man and a push from Giant man, He came at me with Stardust and Reaper putting Reaper in harms way. Took out Reaper leaving only Stardust to deal with, Stardust shot GM putting him on his special power and Terrax went in swinging with a 13 attack to take Stardust down a peg.
I of course missed even with the 13 attack, he then of course wanted to take out GM but to his suprise GM was now shrunk and Terrax was in the way. He instead shot at Terrax and missed, thank goodness. My turn I repeated the 13 attack cleave from Terrax and was rewarded with a hit, he missed super sences and went to his regen click after taking three. I moved GM in to base Stardust and on his turn he cleared. My turn I perplexed GMs attack up and hit Stardust for 1 to get him off the regen click and cleared Terrax. Stardust was on his best Hypersonic click then and he blasted GM and ran on his turn taking out GM. Then it was Terrax hiding around corners on hindering forcing Stardust to take the close attacks and remain within striking distance. In the comming rounds Stardust managed to exact some revenge hitting Terrax twice putting Terrax back on charge with an 18 D. My next attack hit sending Stardust to his last click of Hypersonic with 9 attack. After a couple misses from Stardust and some manuvering Terrax finally tamed Stardust KOing him and giving me the win.

Next game I was up against my friend who was playing a great team with Firelord, Wiccan and Winter Soldier. My main goal this game was to KO Firelord after that I figured Terrax could clean house. I moved up using GM as a shield for Terrax and ended up smacking his Firelord with a heavy object for 5 clix and with a perplex from a wounded GM killed Firelord in two hits. Of course this lead to a crit hit from an enhanced Winter Soldier where I missed my Impervious roll. He took down GM and then ended up finishing Terrax, was rough when he had the PC on Wiccan and I had a 9 attack. Overall was a great match and I left it happy I KOed Firelord so easily and happy my friend was gonna have a better chance for the big G.

Last match was vs a guy playing a rather odd team of Namor, Piledriver and a pog, think he was new to the game. He did end up taking out Giant Man but Terrax cleaned house and never took a click.

Great tourny, had alot of fun playing Terrax and taming two out of three heralds.

There used to be an "Avengers Clan", but it's thread was closed I believe, do to inactivity. I started this one up shortly afterwards, lovingly referring to it as the new "Avengers Clan". But now that there are so many Avengers series out there, I believe I'll just take on anyone from any of the different comic lines.

so technically, this is an "All Avengers Clan".

Thanks Hawkeye, I am still shocked. I mean how lucky must you be to pull that good a team. Well I did already have Stardust. Not only did I win the big G pull 2 super rares in packs. I also got Thor issue 2, which I HIGHLY recommend to Every one on hear. I cant wait for issue 3, Thor bashes Iron man from panel to panel.

And on top of all that before I left the store I checked my wallet, I had 12 bucks left. Just enough for 1 more pack of Avengers. So far I had not pulled 2 super rares Cap & Bucky, and Ares. I really wanted them so I figured what the heck, I will give it a try. So I go to the rack and randomly pull 2 down. I go up to the counter and say to the owner of the store (who knew what I was doing and why) "Which one should I buy?"

He said that one, and pointed to one. So I bought it then opened it and I had nothing but ####, except CAP and BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was seriously my lucky day.

The only thing that didn't happen was that my girl didn't get to show up to wish me luck. But you cant have everything.
