Yeah, the teams are looking good. If the Al Bhed votes stay tied, I have no problem just assigning them as SHIELD.

Why is there even an Al Bhed Team Ability, have we made any Al Bhed Characters, let alone any FFX characters. I really don't think they deserve one. The Al Bhed having a team ability is like the Morlocks having one, its just not needed.

My birthday was on the 14th on Saturday! I am 19, not as old as you guys... :p Happy Late B/Day for all of you that just had one...

Well since Sephiroth dont like much Kain being a U i will make a REV then and 2 or three more characters of FF2/SNES and post them during the weekend since i dont think i will be able to on the week cause of college.

I kinda agree with him here. They are a minor faction and I think introducing new teams for the 10 and 9 guys in the expansion after this is fine. Of course then we could make the team and have no one represent it till an expansion, but if we do that I would like to make a few other teams for the 10 and 9 guys as well, just so we have it done.

Oh and it isn't that I don't like the Kaine Unique, I just think he more than deserves a REV. He's just to cool not to have one after betraying you twice. :grin:

This would be a great expansion idea. We could include the Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Kingdom Hearts games.

I have no problem saving Al Bhed for an expansion. If we go that route what should we replace it with? Light Warriors?

Yeah, I thought that too. Already have a good team ability for the good guys, heartless, and nobodies of the Kingdom Hearts games. :)

Maybe just a generic "Hero" team ability for the heroes from 2, 5, and 9. They didn't really have a team did they? If they did, what would you call them? Ther should be a bad and good side to both.

I want to keep the Fighter and such from 1 as trim as posible to represent a lot of different no names that you run up across in the games. Fighters could represent any soldier in addition to the Fighter from the original Final Fantasy. It was just an Idea.

Wow, three Leo's in the clan. Happy belated, Kain.

Another expansion of non-FF clix is a great idea. Our version of "DC". Enix games would be our, "Indy". I don't know if they have enough gaming franchises to be our "DC".

Yeah, I was pretty much like, :confused: , when Al Bhed made the cut. Ok, let's drop it. Yes, it was voted in, but I live in California, so I don't have any problem kicking it off if enough people are so against it.

So, who's the new nomminee? Light Warriors? Anyone else want to chime in?

If that's the case we should probably narrow some of the other TAs as well, I mean in terms of expanding out into other Square games this would mean that there'd either have to be a billion TAs or there would be alot of generic TAs. In this case, al bhed would probably have more members than the gullwings... I count only.. 7..

Nah, we're like two sets away fromt the Square Expansion. Let's focus on this set first, then we'll worry about the other games later.

We still need a new bad guy team to replace Al Bhed, that would make the teams about even good/bad wise.

The first few missions in 8 take place in Balamb Garden and in Dollet. You encounter the Galbadian Army in Dollet and for the SeeD field test you have to enter a cavern to fight Ifrit.

The Galbadian Army later besieges the Balamb Garden (through an airship/garden battle). Members of the Army include Biggs, Wedge, Sorceress Edea, Seifer (at one point) and many many lackies.. oh and if I'm not mistaken Laguna, Kiros and Ward also worked for them in the past but then settled down in Esthar..

Sounds okay to me. Sorry I've not been around to post much lately. Been engaging in honorable combat at Gen-Con. What's the final tally on the TA's?

Galbadia sounds like a pretty good alternative TA to me. One could argue that they should be represented by "Empire" but I don't think they were a dominant enough faction to warrant.

BTW, sorry I've been gone for a while. My computer is on the fritz again, and I don't expect to get it back until next week latest.

Usual protocols, X-Death will look at the new replys for me. That is if he can get off his fat ###. (just seeing if he's paying attention :angry: ...jackass)

Now, X-Death just pissed me off yet again by telling me that Rodney King wants to be a rapper now.

Anyways yes, otherwise most stuff is ok, I would like to reiterate my stand on the SUMMONS TA, Wildcard is good for them, plus you can fit so many things under this TA, not just Summons, but summoners (from various FF games), those aligned with the Yevon church and Zanarkand (in FFX) as well as those. Not only this, but technically it would be possible to place some of the more "merc" chars under this TA as well like lets say, Experienced Cloud who claims to be a "mercenary" and does the whole merc thingy. (sort of like how Spiral is a merc. and is under the MoD TA just to represent her "wildcardness" and not her affiliation with doom.)

Just my 2 cents...

I like the Summons team ability for some summoners (Rydia comes to mind right away). Yevon I see as Defenders/JSA only for the fact of what the pilgrimage is and how each summoner had guardians to protect them. Make a summoner cheep if Yuna only has a 12 defense but is always borrowing a 16 or 17 from her friends.

That's my thoughts on Yevon, but that's also a set away too.

that's not bad Seph but the thing is... Yevon is all a lie... so basically all this defenders stuff wouldn't pan out in the end... I still like the "Summons" TA as a sort of wildcard, just seems as though the Team would have alot of versatility as to how many can fit under it. (much better than makeing 3428634278623463426x TAs for every group in every FF)..

What are you talking about? Yevon was a lie, but it didn't stop the guardians from protecting the Summoner on the Pilgrimage. The Guardians were always friends, lovers, and siblings. Even when Yevon was proved to be a lie the FFX guys didn't just leave Yuna, they protected her to the end.

that's fine Seph, and it DOES appear harsh :P anyways, the guardians at the point you speak of align with Yuna, not the church of Yevon, and continue the pilgrimage through their own methods not through the "time honored" traditions. So in otherwords at that point.. i would have to say they no longer support the Yevon Church, but proceed to defeat Sin via another means. (or at least Tidus and Yuna plan to)

It's still a big part of the teachings in Yevon to protect summoners and in becoming one and all that.

Well when you made the WEAPON we were still finalizing team abilities and who'd be in.

I liked the WEAPON but the Range is too high. Big figs don't need more than a 10 due to the huge advantage they have targeting figures. Other than that it looked good. I want to see Emerald or Omega (FF8) next.

I think we should just start making figures again and figure out who's going to be in the set as we go. We've got a good number of REVs to go. The only thing we should vote on next that I can think of is which 12 will make it as uniques.

Oh, and I got the Idea to do the Three Statues as seperate "Mail Away LE's" so if anyone knows the names and abilities of each that'd be a huge help. Figured they'd be "Kult of Kefka" since they worked for him at the end.

Looks really good. Attack may be a little high on his first click, other than that little nit pick I think it's very good. Oh, team ability would be "Empire" I think.

Well if the exp has two 10 attack i think it'll be fine. He was the best Dragoon that Baron had.

Yep, Empire is free move. I think it fits Kaine very well.

A little change here. Since i put CCE i thought i should lower his dmg by one on the CCE clicks. Then when he lose it he gets one more point in dmg, I also added a click of Charge to him. I think it fits this character well.

Well i dont know much about the Game Boy series so i cant help on them, They had the FF name so maybe on later expansions (like an Indy set or something we could use them, samething with the movie characters). FF5 i have to start playing it again but we sure need an X-Death click he is really badass.

Yes, its going to be an Expansion. It may have more than 96 figs though........But i'll try to keep it around that. The expansion doesn't need to be bigger than Starter Set.(if that is what its called)

By the way, how many figs are in the Original set?

Okay that's cool, if you're doing a whole expansion set of Tactics then that's cool. Hm, Tactics even sounds like a cool expansion title. Do you have teams picked out for the sides yet?

The original set (starter) has I think 150 figures.

White Lions: ?
Larg, Zalbag, Dycenberg, etc

Mercenary: Wildcard
Generics: Squires, Kingihts, Ninjas, Gafgaran

Zodiacs: Ultimates Team Ability
Velius, Quilekin, Altima, etc.

Shrine Knights: Serpent Society
Vormav, Rofel, Balk, etc.

If you have any ideas for Black and White Lions team ability tell me.

So, in continuing on with the set I am going to nominate a few characters to take up some of the Unique slots. Feel free to debate:classic: .

1. Bahamut (I like 0 from VII or the one from VIII)
2. Sehpiroth (In his form from the end of the game)
3. Umaro
4. Shiva (gotta go with the one from X)
5. Red XIII
6. Rubicant (the fiend of FIRE)
7. Kefka (in his form from the end of the game)
8. Yuna (in her special dress-sphere)
9. Edea
10. Ifrit (any of them is good by me)

I'm trying to remember, did the Black Lions ever fight with other Black Lions in the team? I don't remember then doing so. If they did then maybe Synister Syndicate if not then something like 2000AD?

White Knights could be Crusade, just for the pun maybe. :p

The idea for 2000 AD is good. How bout this:

Black Lions: Ultimate X-Men, lil better than 2000 AD

White Lions: Synister Syndicate

AE's should be straightforward and few. Kefka ---> Gen. Leo, Sephiroth ---> Cloud, Squall ---> Seifer, Kain ---> Cecil (maybe)

As Sephiroth mentioned before, there won't be many arch-enemies. Most Final Fantasy's have centralized plots. What I'm trying to say is that their stories focus on one main character and the other characters that are directly related to him/her/it. So, any rivalries that are formed within each game will most likely involve the main character and someone else.

Oh, for the love of me, how many times has the clan cafeteria been blown up now!? Twice!? Thrice!? Once I get back on a more permanent basis, I'm seriously gonna consider getting insurance.

Uniques:

Ok, before I left, we decided on 12 U's, right? X-Death and my nominations are as follows:

"Dancing Mad" Kefka - w/ no AE, but all other versions of him should be AE'd with General Leo)

I think we should save them for the next set. That set will include FFI and FFIX. There is a link between those two games, and both feature the Fiends. We could call that set Final Fantasy HeroClix: Legacy.

The Before Crisis game was a game that stared the Turks and was set before the events in FF7 i think. Like we said it's only for cell phones and I lost all intress after reading that. Why think about something that I'll never get to play.

Just seems that Final Fantasy news is a little slow comming these days. I honestly think they put to much thought and effort into FF11 (never should have had a number, should just have been called FF:Online) and not enough into other games.

Oh well, at least the buzz is that the Shinning Force people are going to make some more Shinning Force type games.

If you mean hot chick with long black hair then yeah, they look alike. Other than that, they are different enough for me.

Theres an Article about it in the Newest Issue of Game Informer. The cover has Liu Kang and Kung Lao from Mortal Kombat on it. I haven't got to look at it yet.

Square reveal their FF plans for PS2 and their next game is NOT Final Fantasy XII. Intrigued? Or just plain gagging for the gen? Come on in...

Square have revealed their line-up for the Tokyo Games Show and two Final Fantasy games are listed for PS2.

One of the two games is Final Fantasy XII, which is no great surprise but certainly welcome. The other one is the surprise of the TGS package - a FFX spin-off.

The game will be called Final Fantasy X: Another Lord - Lord of the Future and is scheduled to be in Japanese shops by the end of the year. There will be Yuna and Rikku versions, so in the future there will be three versions of FFX out there.

Presumably, Final Fantasy X: Another Lord is FFX from another perspective (Yuna's or Rikku's depending on the version in question), so the game itself probably has little that's different besides cut-scenes.

Of course, this is total speculation as Square have revealed no details beyond those already stated. With any luck we will get some new game elements, we just think it's unlikely.

We spoke to Sony UK (who published FFX in the UK) and they weren't aware of FFX: Another Lord before today. They further commented that they'd had "no collaborations with Square beyond FFX" and suspect Another Lord is destined for Japanese release only.

As soon as we get any more details, we'll let you know.
