I'm a little worried actually. I've seen controller buttons appear above the enemies as Sora is hitting them. I'm just hoping you don't have to do stupid "puzzles" while trying to combo an enemy.

Thanks for all of the support , gang. The first half of the Invetational was a sealed game and I didn't pull all that well, but I went down fighting. Two of the three games I lost came down to the last figure on each team. It was a lot of fun. Hair10 and DS ran a great event.

Well, they did actually help out a bit. If you waited until they said something like, "Kupo, I'll help you out!", and then casted a spell, your spell would be more powerful than just casting it normal.... ;)

RPGamer is the place I would have thought that would report such a bump. But So far it looks like it's still coming out in both Japan and the US on the 13th/14th of September. Gamestop had it listed as the 11th of Oct. I don;t buy that for a second.

I know someone who is way to into 11. Everything she says just sounds so boring to me. I guess I'm not an online gamer since a sword that gives you a +30 charisma as your characters ultimate weapon doesn't apeal to me.

I give it to you that VII was off the chart hotness and I have replayed it 9 times. I remember getting it for my 19th birthday while I was in college. I must have played it for 4 weeks straight. We would actually have parties in the common area where people would just sit and watch me play.

LOL, I had FFVII for probobaly 4 years before I beat it. Everytime I'd make to the end of the game I'd stop playing it cause I didn't want it to end, so I'd just start a new game.

see I found 9 easy due to there was no wierd rules in it. In 9 each number had a value attached to it.

Fist number was attack, second was defense, third was magic attack, fourth was magic defense.

1 was a number between 0 and 9, a 2 was a number between 10 and 19 and so on where letters where the most powerful.

It had a little luck in it, but it was more fun than the wierd rules that where in Triple. Never understood the flip thing.

9 is the only one I do not own. I rented it for three days when it came out and beat it way too fast. Minimal challenge, granted the Orco looking guy was sweet. I am trying to find it for sale cheap so I can play it again and see what I missed.

The ending to VII is sweet with Red XIII looking over the plans. One of my favorite endings. Though I really like VIII's ending mostly because I am a big softy for it. The whole squall/rinoa space ship scene is great.

it is where all the spirits are Invading Gaia at the end of the movie and they blow it up with the Zeus cannon. It creates a huge Crevis that is similar to the one found in seven that you can fly over to the north, but not land on. I felt the spirits within movie really tied into VII more as a prequel.

Well it was made by paramount pictures so, they probably had a great script for it similar to advent children and then only kept bits and pieces. Whoever, wrote it never played a FF game in their life and was not a fan. I am a strong believer that no one in hollywood should touch anything unless they liked it in the first place.

Is the Unlimited series pretty good? I was at Suncoast the other day and I was thinking about buying some.

It's not bad. They cancelled it quickly, because everyone thought it blew hardcore, but I actually liked it. It's just really weird....but it's what I would expect out of Squaresoft. If you get it, I'd suggest checking it out on ebay or something. You can probably find it pretty cheap, because no one seems to want it...

Is the Unlimited series pretty good? I was at Suncoast the other day and I was thinking about buying some.

I thought it was good. Loved the summons in it. And I found it to be very true to final fantasy.

There's a guy name Cid, who wants to build an airship.

There's summons, everyone from Shiva and Ifrit to a Tonberry (Metor Master).

There's a Chocobo that isn't annoying either.

And the Phantom Train is in it which is just to cool for me.

I didn't hear anything about it being canceled though. They set it up for a second season. Or at lest I thought they did.

The Junction system was tough, but I still loved the game. Officially it is the toughest of ALL the series to beat as you really have to outlive the boss at the end and he is UBER strong. I will be the first one to admit I could not have done it without gameshark.

Hahaha...never used a gameshark or codes on any FF. I guess that's why it took me nearly 3 years to COMPLETELY beat FFVII.


So they set Unlimited up for a second season? I didn't hear this! I was told that it was cancelled, because it bombed so bad. I figured it was true, because I was seeing the entire season sell for EXTREMELY cheap on Ebay at the time...

I could not afford XI (100 dollars is steep in for an FF game). Does it follow Final Fantasy theme or is it more everquest?

I got it as a gift. It's totally Everquest with the look and feel of FF, not the characters. I'm sort of addicted to it (like I was Everquest for a while).

It's weird, because summoner doesnt start off with summons. You have to level up to earn them. But there are SO many different classes on the servers, plus you get like special bonuses on certain days and stuff. It's beautiful. I drooled so much when I saw it, but I dont have the connection to run it yet. Hopefully very soon that will all change, then I'll purchase the game.

I have two characters on their now...one of which (a monk/warrior) was hijacked from my wife. I brought that one up to level 29 Monk/15 Warrior...I just started another one that I plan to make a Ninja sooner or later...the game is pretty long in that it can take forever to level...in that sense it is a lot like Everquest...there are some pretty hardcore people on there that have their characters all maxed out...must be like a full-time job.

that would be like me. I used to play my friends City of Heroes game, and stopped when I had a lvl 45 Dark Def. It only took me like 2 months to get her up there....which is nearly impossible. I dunno. I'll have to look into buying the game after I get my check....

I don't know much about CofHs but to bring a character up that fast in FFXI would be real tough. I've gone about it as fast as you can (by researching stuff online and buying gold) and with the time I've had to play I think I've done pretty well...it's a lot of fun...I just set up a projector and screen in my house the other day so I'll be playing on that probably tonight. Now is a real good time to become unemployed...

I remember some people I work with were talking about that Korean dude who played one of those military online games for 50+ hours and then his heart just stopped...everyone around me was like "how could he play that long?", "what was wrong with him?"...I was thinking to myself if I weighed 50 or so more pounds, made no money and had a face like a mongaloid, I could totally see that happening to me...and what a way to go.

What I hate were the laws that weren't all that well defined. I just got hit with one for no broadswords. How am I suppost to know if I have a "broadsword?" I was watching G4 tech TV today and they made a remake about the Tech Demo for FFVII on the PS3. They said it was originally said to be just a demo when seen in the US. But when it was shown in Japan they didn't say anything about it being only a tech demo.

The fights are a little wild (I was waiting for Cloud to go Super Sayian), but are still worth watching. Yeah, that looks like its going to be pretty good. I'm a big fan of tactics, so I'm hoping for the best. I like the real time battling system. I think that's going to make things very interesting. I just didn't want another Tidus....

I love X-Men 2. It's sweet. I love how the gameplay flows, and the graphics are amazing. its 100 times better than the first one. Def. pick it up. Also pick up Ult Spider-man, and the Incredible Hulk if you havent yet.

Havent heard much about it. X-men legends 2 is a great rpg. As for Hulk, it's a lot like the Spider-man 2 game in which you have the main mission to accomplish, as well as side missions. Then you earn smash points that allow you to buy upgrades. Marvel Nemesis is a sweet fighting game, and graphics rock, but gameplay gets old fast. As for Ult Spider-man, you can't tell when the game begins and the cinemas end!

It's amazing. It's like Devil May Cry, turned into a FF! You play Vincent Valentine, who is investigating Deep Ground, a shadowy group of mercenary soldiers. He has weilds 3 types of guns, and can even perform a limit break! It's going to be very interesting. I think I just fell in love with another third person shooter.

The Enix side of things is giving us a new Dragon Warrior game, and it looks rather good. I love the character designs from Akira Toriyama, the man behind DBZ (and the design work on ChronoTrigger).

Favorite game, period is Chrono Trigger. It was the game that "started it all" for me.

My fave FF game, gosh thats hard. I would have to say a tie between 7 & 10. I really enjoyed the cgi and gameplay. I mean, I love them all, but those are the two I replay all of the time.

ChronoTrigger was indeed (or maybe I should say "Yes, indeed") an outstanding game. The graphics, score, characters, and gameplay were all excellent. FFX was a lot of fun with great characters and graphics. And FFVII is legendary... and with good reason.
My favorite was VI. The story and score are still, in my mind, unsurpassed in the series.

Chrono Trigger is the only game (or anything) with a time travel storyline that actually makes sense. And all the endings depend on how you've changed history/the future. I love it, and have never seen anything that good time travel wise again. Even the sequal, Chrono Cross, couldn't recapture that.

You know what, I'm still worried. If I wanted to play FF11 I'd buy FF11. I think the active turn system is very RPGish and this is just a Legend of Zelda Game with more characters.

We'll see how it is when it comes out.

So I played the FFXII demo yesterday.

I'm don't like combat. I felt as if I didn't do anything. The characters automatically attack anything that's near them if it attacks first. Otherwise you can pretty much just walk around everything. The boss fight I made one command the whole time and then just watched them beat the snot out of it.

As my girlfriend put it, it's an interactive movie now.

Too bad, the graphics and character designs are great. The bunny chicks are so hot.

That's the reason I couldn't get into Knights of the Old Republic. I want to be in comand of my team, even if all they are doing is basic attacks.

I'm actually not playing any video games right now. I'm waiting for my brother to finish up Shinning Tears so I can give that a try. Other than that my spare time and money has been going to Magic.

I'm really waiting for Kingdom Hearts 2 and Disgaea 2 to come out though. Then I'll be a happy gamer.
