Also the Gullwings are in the game as a summon. They look a little odd though, they're some kind of fairy or something in it.

DUDE! Setzer rocks. He was one of my faves from VI. I used to put the Offering, the Black Belt, and the Fixed Dice on him and he could take out whole enemy parties by himself. One of those four attacks almost always did 7000 or higher. I am SO looking forward to KH2.

I'm actually a big Shinning Force fan. Heck, my first avatars where Shining Force guys. But they haven't made a tactics game by that name in quite a while.

Shining Tears is an okay game at best, more trying to be an action game than an RPG Tactics game though.

Still, I'm hoping for a good old Shining Force to come out at some point. I'd be all over that.

(BTW, This clan kinda evolved into an any RPG/Video Game Clan)

Oh and an update for everyone here if you're interested in that Cloud/Fenrir action figure combo that was limited to only the special edition box sets (hence the ridiculous prices), Square-Enix is going to release them publicly as a pack come February. Fenrir's supposed ot have "real" steering as well as rubber tires.

Also, Play Arts is going to release a FF8 line similar to the AC figures. Not sure exactly when it's supposed to come out, but the figures are Squall,Rinoa and Selphie... can't wait!

Well guys, I downloaded Last Order lastnight. Its pretty good stuff, even though it basically just redone parts of the game. Zack whips alot of ### though in some of the new scenes.

Last Order is basically about Zack and Cloud and what happened to them after they left the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim and before Zack was killed, with some flashbacks to the confrontation with Sephiroth at the mako reactor.

Pretty good movie.

And Dal, if you're interested in WoW, there are ahem.. those kind of servers so PM me if you want more details, that goes for the rest of you also.

And as Dal mentioned before about FFVII:AC's DVD/UMD release, coinciding with the schedule, Cloud (minus Fenrir) is suposed to be released within that week also, so those of you who don't want to fork out an extra 40 for Fenrir can get Cloud solo.

As I already mentioned in a previous post, the FFVIII figures will be Squall/Rinoa/Sephie, I believe the release date is late May, and the equivalent line for FFX will feature Auron, Tidus and Yuna (Release possibly late June).

For stuff I haven't mentioned yet, they're going to be releasing a "regular bike" the one that Kadaj and company ride in AC, without a figure later in the summer, as well as Fenrir by itself (so you can buy each solo). There's also going to be a Continental Circus (the FFX airship) replica in the future, as well as mini Weapon replicas of the Buster Sword, Squall's Gunblade, Vincent's shotgun and possibly others.

As for Marvel Legends, that Sentry figure has a variant "Beard" version, and you can combine all the separate pieces from that series to make Giantman, (apparently this series is Wal-Mart only).

ML's also going to be releasing their next wave "Build a Mojo" fairly soon after the "Villains Line" (w/ Loki and company) featuring Longshot, Psylocke, Powerman, Baron Zemo and one other whom I forget.

P.S to those of you who might have preordered, your FFXII should be shipping already, it came out yesterday in Japan. Crisis core is due out for JP PSP in the summer.

Yes I am actually. I should be up and running by the middle of next month I think. New computer won't be in till the 1st or so. All my friends are on Siren so I'm hoping to land there, but if I'm on Bahamut I'll give you a look up.

Cyclops sucks. Always has, always will. I'm really sick of X-Men remakes, when so many others could use a click.

It was an extra thing added onto the PC version of the game I belive. And even then I think it was a cheat or something.

That fight with Axel at the beginning is beautiful though. Gave me great hopes for the game actually.

Valor mode ROCKS HARD!!!! can't wait to see Wisdom though, I'm more of a spell happy player.

Like the new Spell System too, sad to see Aero go though.

And combat is a lot smoother than I thought it would be.

Overall, very happy with 2 so far.

I agree, that whole Battle at Hollow Bastion cutscene was pretty good stuff.

I got him down 2 bars out of 10, or how ever many he has. I'm at the end of the game. All I have to do is enter Kingdom Hearts and beat Xemnas, but I don't want to it til I defeat Sephiroth. I'm a perfectionist about that ####.

Yeah, I'm not long for these boards I'm afraid. I don't play heroclix anymore and recent changes, I feel, don't fix the problems with the game as a whole. I also see judging these days a waste of time rather than a chance to hang with some friends as 1) All my friends have quite the game and 2) the people that do play right now are cut throaty and a couple have admitted to 'act dumb' about the rules to try to gain advantages. Also none of the current players have read the F'n rulebook and ask the stupidest questions that reading the book ONCE would fix.

But my heroclix days are done. I've currently got my clix at the place I judge up for auction.

No. When you see the ending let me know how you felt about it.

All I'll say is that the Ending to KH2 makes me feel the story is complete. There isn't anything left to do. The secret ending is just disney milking a cash cow IMO.

KH2 was so short for the time it took it to come out. Really, you shouldn't beat a game totally in one week.

I thought it was really good, of course I've seen it before it was released here in the states. The voice-overs turned out alot better than I thought they would. Mena Survai actually did a decent job with Aerith in the movie, which worried me cause she sucked in KH2. Sephiroth was the only voice-over that I really didn't care for, both in Advent Children and KH2. I think Reno had the best voice-over though.

I've always thought of this clan as an RPG clan more than just Final Fantasy. That's just me though.

Shining Force was a great game. I wish they'd put out another like 'em and none of this Shining Tears carp.

Hehe, I havent been able to catch it on CN, but I've got all the episodes on my comp, so it's kept me pretty busy. Yeah, Ive got about 3 or 4 different subs, and they can get a lil confusing from time to time...

Just use DB ven, they're standardly good. Probably a minimum 90% accurate, and the dialogues nearly match up with the manga properly, so I'd say they're a safe bet, plus they're the fastest sub group for Naruto.

So after playing XI for a bit I decided to go back and play the demo of XII. Its much easier to play after playing XI than if you're not.

I think they tried to appeal to XI players to get them to pay and play the game.

XII? It's a good game, with grate graphics typical of Final Fantasy, it just plays to damn much like XI and not enough like typical Finals.

Sin-More of the same, just change a couple powers here and there and you have a seth dial.

Powerlevel going down=good, but won't matter till overpowerd stuff is out.

Really powerful guys (Paralax) are powerful under "Seth's system" but are way week compared to the "big guns" of the past.

That's my stance. I like his designs but I want him to keep pushing and not fall into a rutt like it seems he has.

I DONT like the fact that a lot of these pieces dont have the stats to hold up against a lot of the pieces that came out in the most recent set. I'll def. agree with you there. "power houses" aren't as powerful as they once were a few sets ago....

BLEACH is an anime about Shinigami (Death Gods) who essentially "cleanse" the human world of "evil spirits" called Hollows. It's actually pretty decent of a story, the manga of course being better than the anime. However, up until about episode 64 or so it's quite enjoyable. Anyways its on Youtube with subtitles probably if you search up "bleach episode"

Reason I brought it up is 'cause there's a new BLEACH game coming out on PSP next month, which is "up to date" and technically further than the anime is currently.

P.S What do you plan to get for PS3 Dal? And you think it'll have no problems playing JP PS2 games? *yeah stupid question, assuming they're all region free...

Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Tekken 6 and maybe a few others. I'll probably get the 60 GB verion. It shoudn't have problems playing JP PS2 games.

I'm not getting a Wii, I know that for sure. I just don't like Nintendo games anymore. They are poorly designed IMO and fun for about 5 hours and thats it. Most of them are too short too.

PS3, I just want to wait. Some good fighters or RPGs will bring me to it.

The boxes are exactly the same size as the FFVII:AC ones and I assume the scales are the same as well. Personally, Selphie looks a little chubby, and suffers from prosthetic leg syndrome but I really like the Squall (even though it doesn't look like him).

Next up are the FFX figures (Auron/Tidus/Yuna) coming in August.

I used to play MTG, but quit before sixth edition, and beyond that, I play Marvel Legends Showdown, and a lil bit of CoH.

Yeah, I gave my stuff away. I had like all old Alpha and Beta cards from back in the day. Tons of them. As for Marvel Legends Showdown, I enjoy it. The cards make things interesting, and you can play a quick game that could last like 15 mins with 1 char a piece, or you could do like 3 chars, and make it last an hour. Its all up to you. Theyve got a new set coming out in the fall, so that will add tons more pieces, as well as much more cards.

Coldsnap has me excited. Started playing with Ice Age and look forward to drafting Coldsnap.

Safer > Well, actually it's not as far-fetched as you think, if you recall, BlitzBall matches were only 6 minutes long, of which there were two 3 minute halves, if I'm not mistaken the record (in real life) for holding their breath under water is near 10minutes or so...

The only "real" portrayals so far that seem "super-human" or beyond the limits of any human expectaction would probably have to be Cloud and friends in AC. Afterall, who can actually jump around like that in real life? XD Also, if you think about it, there haven't been any characters to possess your typical "super powers" without some explanation intertwined into the story. I.e Rinoa went all psycho powered because of the Sorceress possession. Hope this helps to solidify your opinion lol

Actually its been stated that they will not be returning to Dominaria anytime soon. With the exception of Time Spiral Block, which is rumored to be just a "reprint" set, it should be all different worlds from hear on out. Found it kinda funny that they where planeswalkers but all came to the same plane to fight.

Yep got into the game right around alliances was released. Started playing 'competitively' two weeks before Mirage came out. Stopped playing around Oddessy block, and got back into the game for Kamigawa. I'm now on my way out after Coldsnap. I'll probably be back in a couple years, when Timesprial leaves type 2.

I'm actually going to play some Friday Night Magic this week. With an outdated black/green deck. Just don't have the money to make the deck I want to play.

So how's everybody handling the summer drought? I started out catching up on some recent games I hadn't gotten to yet (Beyond Good and Evil- very good; Hulk: Ultimate Destruction- a lot of fun; Star Wars: Episode III- Ugh! Lego Star Wars was SO much better). I got those finished, with still not much new grabbing my attention gamewise, so I decided to go back and replay some of my old games. I'm staring off by hooking up the SNES and playing Gemfire (anyone played this? A lot of fun!). From there I might play a N64 game of two, or maybe the Spider-Man game on PS1 that came out in 2000.

I agree. I know you "Cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics, laws of physics," but with magic you can. That's what makes it MAGIC ;) .

What? Not hearing from me for a while? Just because I have a few runins with the bacon around here, doesn't mean that I'm gonna leave a clan like this behind! Man, you guys completely underestimated me!


As for the demo....AMAZING. You get to run around with your entire party, and can switch characters with the click of a button. When I say switch characters, I mean, you control the main char, and the others are just cpu that do things for you. You can switch toons fast enough that you control all of them though.

When you first start it though, you have a choice between active and passive mode. In active, you don't "enter" battles, you just attack characters when you run into them. You see them floating around, and you can avoid them. The magic is of course AOE, so you've got a thin circle that pops up, and seems to get wider with the more powerful magic. The graphics are amazing, and the gameplay was sooo smooth! Of course you fight pretty much the same enemies.

Oh, and when you choose between active and passive, you get a whole different party of 3 chars...plus you get to play in a different place.

The only weird thing is, when you go into a "mission" you have requirements that you have to complete before the boss comes. Then you can destroy him, or collect it, etc. During the mission, you dont have to complete the requirements, and you can just run around killing stuff. The whole "mission" thing is weird. I mean, I guess you got missions in the old game, it just didnt broadcast them over the screen, and tell you the requirements of completion.


So, pretty much, you're just going to have to play it. I dunno Dal's opinion on it...

Also I have a few plans for this player group.

1. Try to get XI players on it. We can set up an XI foulder so that will be cool.

2. Square area where any other square game can be talked about.

3. RPG area, where all the other companies rpgs (like Shining Force) will go.

4. As they come out, each game will get their own spot. So there will be a FFXII spot, and a FFXIII when it comes out.

Just need to do a membership drive I guess.

But when I did donate is was for a diamond membership (50 dollars I think) and they only gave me bronze.

I wasn't happy, but I didn't put up a big stink about it.

And of course my computer at the time caused the game to lag a bit as well.I LOVE the non-linear aspect. You can be heroic and noble, or devote yourself to a life of crime mugging people and breaking into homes . . . just don't get caught!

Early in the game, I was spotted breaking and entering and worked up enough of a bounty that no one would speak to me, since I was a "notorious outlaw." I had to sneak into a city, find a shop to unload my stolen goods, then sneak to the Thieves Guild and get them to use thier shady contacts to remove the bounty and clear my name.

Great fun!
