Ok, so it's fast approching 3:00 am (PST) and I've been stricken with a wicked case of insomnia. I know that by making this, I'm only feeding the already saturated market of clan topics. And, I also know that because of this I probably won't get a single post.

But, doesn't really matter anyway cause most of my internet time is spent elsewhere (GameFAQs owns my soul!!!!!). Still, I need to satisfy my curiosity. Not to mention kill time until sunrise (cause, apparantly sleep is not an option).

So, here goes. I shall be your benevolent, nearly omnipotent, almost omniscient, semi-cosmic ruler...KEFKA!!!!!

I usually don't give clans any time of day, but this was just too hard to resist. This is totally up my calling...

Cid Orlandu... as who else, "Cid Orlandu", (of FFTactics fame)


No character has been in every Final Fantasy, but Cid comes pretty close! He's been in every FF except the first one. Of course, each game actually has a different Cid character, with a new appearance and story. Cid's almost always an older, wiser character, and he's often an inventor, too! Hironobu Sakaguchi says he thinks of Cid as the Yoda of the Final Fantasy series, but I think Cid's more like a whole team of Yodas!

Final Fantasy I - Believe it or not, there was no Cid in FF I! There's a rumor going around that he was cut at the last minute and is now out for revenge on the rest of the Cids. Sounds pretty scary.

Final Fantasy II - This was the first real Cid! He lived in the town of Poft, and, like a lot of the Cids, built the airship! He was also the only Cid that had to die as part of the story.

Final Fantasy III - This Cid was also an airship inventor. He accompanied your party for a little while, but didn't actually fight.

Final Fantasy IV - Cid Pollendina - The first Cid to actually fight in the party, kupo! He used hammers and bows, and could "Peep" enemies to see their stats. He also did a lot of work on your airship, too -- whenever it needed an upgrade, he'd get together with his assistants and do a little dance. I wish I could join in!

Final Fantasy V - Cid - Cid V was another inventor; he built the Steamship for the queen of Karnak. He also has a grandson named Mid.

Final Fantasy VI - Cid - What's up with this guy? Doesn't he realize he doesn't need to wear a raincoat indoors? Anyways, he didn't build an airship, but he did invent the Magitek process. Later in the game, he and Celes were stranded on an island, and if you didn't feed him lots of Yummy Fish, he'd die!

Final Fantasy VII - Cid Highwind - This Cid needs to wash his mouth out with soap right now! But he was a pretty useful guy to have around -- he fought with a spear and he was the test pilot for the Shinra-26 rocket! He also owned a plane called the Tiny Bronco.

T.G. Cid - Cidolfas "Thunder God Cid" Orlandu - This Cid was seen in Final Fantasy Tactics. He wasn't an inventor, but he was a wise old leader. He was also a great swordsman, kupo! T.G. Cid has a nephew, the astrologer Olan Durai.

Final Fantasy VIII - Cid Kramer - Shh, don't tell anyone I said this, but this Cid is kind of a pansy compared to Cid VII. All this Cid did was run Balamb Garden, and I bet NORG would have something to say about even that. But his wife is Edea the Sorceress.

Final Fantasy IX - Regent Cid - The kindom of Lindblum, headed by the honorable and trustworthy Regent Cid, finally decides to take a stand against the unspeakable massacres by the troops of Alexandria. With the ship building skills of Cid, he finishes his golden work, that is after he promises to stay true to his wife.

Final Fantasy X - Cid - Cid is the master of the Al Bhed, and Rikku's father. The Al Bhed are known for their distinct language and machinery weapons. Near the end Cid welcomes the groups with...you guess it, an airship.

Final Fantasy The Movie: The Spirits Within - Dr. Sid - This "Sid" with a "S" is genius behind the wave theory, Dr. Sid possessed a facile mind as well as a compassionate heart. As he guides his protege, Aki, towards a final solution, he imparts both scientific principals and fatherly advice. The Earth's fate depends on his innovative and unprecedented scientific vision.

As such, glad to be onboard this clan.

Cid: Wedge and Biggs have made an appearance in many of the FF games throughout the series, though I can't recall all of them at the moment. But, yeah, Cid is definately a staple character in the FF mythos. He also makes an appearance in FF Tactics: Advance for the GBA as the High Judge (or whatever he's called. It'sd been a few months snce I finished that game).

Any word on if he makes an appearance in the atrocity of a game that carries the FF name on the GC? Or in FF-XI?

Has anyone played Crystal Chronicals? My friend is seriously contemplating getting this. Looks "kiddie", but then again so did IX and that's a great game.

Gawd, Crystal Chronicals is so bad. You get hosed if you only play it one player and if you try to play it mutiplayer theres even more complications. Spell fusion is the WORST magic system to date. (And I'm not a fan of Draw/stock either).

Rent (crystal chronicals) first to see if its your cup of tea. Me, I'm selling mine as soon as me and a couple pals beat it, might as well see the ending before kicking it to the farplane.

I wish they'd make more, but Final Fantasy 12 is the last Final Fantasy game that there making.

I thought Final Fantasy X-2 was a good game, i think what hurt it was the fact that it was little different from the others, no summons, only 3 characters to use, all women(though rikku is extremely hot). It was Things that people weren't used to in Final Fantasy. The thing that got me was no Summons, that was a big part of the game, for me at least.

Thats just my 2-cents.

Final Fantasy VI is my favorite. Just so many good characters and interesting backgrounds. (slept in an inn like 1,000 times to see all of Shadows background.)

Favorite Character: Mog, only playable moogle.

Favorite FF Paine, just love her comments on the Mascot dresssphere.

Is the gaming market being oversaturated with FF titles? Never, I'll be playing even when FF XXXIII-V comes out.

When will Square-Enix get off their collective butts and concentrate on other gaming franchises (Chrono series, Star Ocean, Dragon Warrior, etc.) How about giving us Final Fantasy III with Secret of Evermore. Call it Final Fantasy Forever. And we need a Crono game to help smooth over the things brought up in Cross.

FF X-2 - Good game? It's good. I have to agree with one of my friends though who say it's "girly". And It does have the Job system that is in a few of the games (III, V, Tactics, Tactics Advance)

It made sense to me that there was no summons in X-2. It was kind of essential to the storyline, after all. No Sin, no summoners, Yuna out of a job. For a short while.

Some of the game intrigued me, though. Being able to change jobs on the fly. Garment Grids effecting the overall battle envorinment. And Rikku being so ####ed cute didn't hurt either.

I stopped playing it though. It intrested me, but it didn't encourage me to play any further than the 2nd act. The weight of the world is once again on the sholders of Yuna and crew and what do they do?

They get Yuna to dressup and entertain the crew (and a very horny Brother). I don't know, I just seemed to insult my intelligence. I think that was at the beginning of the 2nd act.

Did any other FF crew act this way? Did Squall ask Rinoa to give him a lapdance when Time Compression was all but imminent? Did my World of Ruin cause the FF VI crew to spontaneously break into song and dance? No.

I just had to get that off my chest. To summarise, FF X-2: Decent gameplay, ok job system, but Yuna still pisses me off to no end.

Final Fantasy VI is my favorite game in the series. The story is so epic. I mean the entire face of the planet in rearanged half way through the game. Not to mention the half hour long ending. Great stuff.
I just finished FFX-2 a couple of weeks ago and had a lot of fun. I'm a little disappointed with the ending, but I'll just have to play it again and this time get everything.

Greetings clansmen/women, and welcome to the hell that is my life. Just came back from work, and I must say it sucked balls. I work at LAX as a Luggage Runner. Which is a fancy term for "Bag Monkey". It's my job to take inspected luggage to the ticket counters and to make sure no one touches them as per fairly recent Federal Guidelines.

Anyways here I am, bringing this oaf his bags and his oafish family keeps messing around with them. I politely tell them that it is not allowed for any passengers to touch their bags after inspection. They give me the old, "Me no speaking the EnGrIsh" routine and ignore me. After the 5th warning, I tell the ticketing agents that I have to send their bags back to inspection.

Let me tell you, some sort of mass shockwave must have went through the entire airport cause suddenly the oafs started speaking perfect English after that. Their four letter words didn't have a lick of accent in them. They proceed to chew me out, which leads to my supervisor to chew me out, which leads the manager to chew me out.

Then, I'm told to take a break and go to the bag room. So, I leave, smoke for a while (looong while) and retreat to the bag room to lick me wounds. God must have took pity on me cause what did my eyes behold? The very bags of said oaf. I smirked with glee as I asked myself, WWKD (What Would Kefka Do?) I totally laid the smackdown on them (making sure no one was around, pesky cameras included).

Returned to the ticket counter with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. The rest of the night went without incident.

Let that be a lesson to you kids. Don't piss off porters!

Meh, while I'm here, I might as well answer my own questions.

Favorite FF game - 6. My first FF. It will always hold a place in my heart. As it might have been mentioned, it's such an epic. Despite having a 12 member cast, many of the characters had deep and meaningful backgrounds, imo

Favorite FF character - Tough one. Can't think of any specifics. I'll have to break it down a bit. Favorite powerhouse: T.G. Cid. Favorite magic powerhouse: Black Mage, but I'm being heavily biased towards 8-bit Theater. Favorite bad guy: Yours truly. Which leads me to...

Favorite FF hero/heroine - Probably Squall. My user name is modeled after him. He's the classic reluctant hero archtype. Plus, no one can beat him if you totally abuse the Junction system. No one. Sorry Cloud fanboys.

Is the gaming market being oversaturated with FF titles? Yes. But, then again, you can't argue with success. FF games have been THE standard for RPGs for years.

Let's play a game. I start by saying a Final Fantasy quote. The next person says an FF quote that starts with the letter that the last quote ended with.

Firstly... I'm honestly surprised a clan like this hasn't been "created" before... so where are all the "heroes"? We seem to have an abundance of Villainy running amok

Anyways, do we have to be currently created characters? Or can I be my own? lol, read my ####y fanfic on my site! Otherwise.. I'll settle for Tidus or Squall... (yes look at my sig.. LOOK AT IT!!! I am THAT biased.. lol)

About the other stuff... FFX-2 is a story that is spurred on mainly by character development. Yuna's mainly, you get to see her development as a person.

About the lack of characters and etc. Check out FFX-2:International, if you can read japanese or just like messing around. I got it last month, it features a new creature creation mode where you can obtain different characters in the game and have them join you.. and for those of you who have beaten X-2... yes this includes you know who ;). There's also an extra Last Mission section which is a minimum 25+ hrs of gameplay and 2 new jobs (dress-spheres).

Anyone heard any "new' news about FFVII:AC or FFXII yet?

The latest I heard on FFXII was that one of those wierd bunny females from FFTAdvance was going to be in it. Other than that and another character not much.

As for AC, um, Reno (Unknown_Riku) told me a release date but I can't remember for the life of me what it was. You could ask him and he'd let you know. :)

Here's a question for the clan, Just how many different Races have they created for all the different FFs? I mean like Ronso and Moogles ect...

No, I don't think Square will do that. FFXII I am sure will stay on PS2. Hopefully Square saw that FFCC didn't due to well and not make anymore like that. However, they may end up doing stuff for the GBA. They already have Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on its way out.

Ok folks, I think my pooter is on it's last legs. This might possibly be one of my last posts on this antiquated piece of ####. But, I will not shirk away from my responsibilities. Most of my posts in the next coming days(possibly weeks) will be coming from X-Death's computer.

And when I'm not around, X-Death will be in charge in my stead. Sorry aquafire, I know you're my 2nd, but I can get in contact with X-Death a lot easier than with anyone else here. And I can physically chastise and redicule X-Death if anything gets screwed up around here. Ah heck, I chastise and ridicule X-Death on a daily basis. So it won't be anything new for him.

As for Final Fantasy related news: FF 1 and 2 are coming out for the GBA in Japan. There will be updated graphics(obviously) and new dungeons for both games. And the magic system in FF 1 will be changed to using the standard MP system. No word on when, or if, there will be a US release date.

Oh and once again...sorry for razing the cafeteria. Check my last few posts to see what I'm talking about.

Ok, I was just thinking. In order to seem less villain biased, and possibly attract more members, I was thinking of starting some less bad guy oriented(and FF themed) divisions within this otherwise evil intentioned clan.

We already have our trusty Death Squad. But, I haven't really defined what they do. As I see it, they should be our strong arm. Our Marine Corp, if you will. First ones in, last ones to leave. That sort of thing.

Other divisions I was thinking of:

Cult of Kefka - our elite mystics. If we ever wanted to threaten the world with doomsday spells, or summon hell-beasts to do our bidding, then they would be our go to guys.

SeeD Division - the antithesis of the Death Squad. Whereas the Death Squad would perform more direct tasks, and be our main invasion army. SeeD would be much more covert. They would be our black ops.

The Red Wings - our air force. They would maintain superiority of the sky. Only the best of airship technology.

I don't know if there was ever a major FF version of a navy.

I had more ideas, but I've seem to have forgotten them. As I said, I'm verry drunk and expect to become more inebriated as the night goes on. So, again, I must apologize for the possible stupidity of this post.

SeeD and The Turks will report to Sephiroth. The bulk of our armed forces(Death Squad/Red Wings) will report to Zidane. If he's not around X-Death shall handle them. Of course, The Cult of Kefka will report to me and me alone.

Our Captains:

Death Squad - X-Death
SeeD division - I'll assume Squall will want this position
The Red Wings - I'll also assume Cecil or Cid(not T.G., then again he hasn't posted here since I started this whole thing) will want this position
The Turks - Again, it'll make the most sense if Reno takes the position

The only opening is for Magus of the Cult of Kefka.

I played, but only for fun. Good thing too cause I didn't get a great pull of figures. A high point was watching the KC Superman player push Supes to death in his first round game. So he didn't win overall.

You can ask Auron and Reno, they were at the tourney too. Reno did very well pulling a Magog.

It's a very unbalanced set for sealed IMO. Seems to be a few figures that dominated and many that floundered.

I talked to the guy that works at the venue that I usually go to. He lost his WW to a V Crock. WW was on her 2nd click and was based with Crock. He attacked, and tried to BCF him. WW got a 1. Crock attacked the next turn, went for the Blades, got a 6. That was pretty much it for him.

There was this one big guy from an issue of Unncany that I have that I beleive was super strong but got shot up so I don't know if he'd have toughness or anything.

If we get Hummingway and Vessel (sp?) then we will.

If we get Reverb we'll get someone with Psy Blast.

As for the Marque, yeah I did really well. I took 2nd over all. My team was really good. Too bad I couldn't say I did well this past time. The team was decent, just a bad judement on my part in the first round, 2nd round I kicked butt, and third.... I only had E Destiny left.

But meh, I had fun.

As far as I can tell, she can shoot out energy beams. I don't think she had anything beyond that.

Sounds like Morlocks may be the new "generics" team, to mabey replace hydra or SHEILD or that annoying Red Wings team. :)

Well, it would seem that the Morlocks could make some great swarm teams.

Lol, speaking of the Red Wings, how would the rest of the clan translate our divisions into Heroin-clix TA's.

As I see it:

The Turks - Superman Enemy - All that Outwit would make sure pesky shopkeepers/cops/judges/politicians accept "offers that they can't refuse."

Red Wings - Avengers/JLA - Being our air force, they would cover the sky pretty quickly

SeeD - Bat-Family - Can't have a covert ops team without an abundance of Stealth

Death Squad - Legion of Doom/Legionnaires - Our most versatile division deserves the most versatile TA

Last, but not least, Cult of Kefka - It would be pretty easy to assign them Mystics, but I believe that doesn't necessarily reflect my malevolence.

So, I'll assign my division with Superman Allies - THE LIGHT OF JUDGMENT SEES ALL AND OBLITERATES ALL!!!!!

The mystics works better for Kefka's Cult I think. In the end of the game in VI it seems when you attack with the party the statue thing attacks back.

I don't know if i will use Sinestro or just use the DEO agents to really tweak out Unique Shazam or OWAW Superman. I really wish though that Shazam had a range attack.:( So its still up in the air.
