Bat-family advantages:
Tactical Intelligence - Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Oracle. They are among the best strategists of the DCU. Batman and Oracle knows practically everything about everything.
Fighting Skill - 'nuff said
Cash - As of now, Bruce Wayne is the richest person on DC's Earth by a light-year. Xanatos is too, but not to the extent of Wayne.
Gargoyles advantages:
Brute Strength - 'nuff said
Magical power - Puck is second to only Oberon and Titania (technically third, but I don't see Oberon or Titania as being that much more powerful than each other)
Flight - Not much of an advantage considering how limited they are and the amount of tech Batman can supply to further limit the advantage. But, it's an advantage nonetheless
The setting is NYC. I'm pretty sure Wayne has some holdings there too, so there's no full home advantage given to The Gargoyles. No one can call on anyone else. So, no JLA appearences. No cameos from Xanatos' wife's former running buddies. No Oberon, no Titania. Just the 12-on-12 you see before you.
Oh yeah...JOIN MY CLAN!!!!!!

C'mon, no thoughts at all? I think, as far as vs. topics are concerned, this was at least fair.
Mostly peak humans with genious-level IQs and enough martial arts backgrounds to take on a small nation of ninjas against a bunch of 10-ton class monsters with enough magical power to level a city.
How can that not be a cool battle to imagine?

Just a straight fight?
Depends on how much time the Batfolk have to study. The Gargoyles are so unfamiliar with modern city stuff that the Batfolk would have the distinct tactical advantage. They could be easily fooled and lured into traps.
Xanatos is sorta like an evil Bruce Wayne, and he puts one over on 'em all the time.
I love the Gargoyles, but Batkids would find ways around them.
Wait, isn't Lady Shiva evil or something?

Let's just say that in this fight, the Gargoyles are at the height of their power. Which means that by that time, they know every rooftop in NYC.

No Fox or Macbeth since he is tied directly to Demona? Also Both Demona and Xanitos use magic, plus all the steel clan that Xanitos has made, Ithink the younger Bat Family would be taking out quick. But I think Batman might come out in the end.

As I see it, Batman, and/or Oracle(from the safety of a WayneCorp. building of course) would recognize that their base of operations(Xanatos' office building) is of Scottish architecture. Cause, c'mon the castle would be a pretty hard thing to miss.
Batman, or Oracle would deduce that The Gargoyles themselves are also of Scotish decent. Batman would tell Oracle to research all she can about Scotish folklore and mythology concerning gargoyles. She's then find out about the whole 'turning into stone during the day' thing.
The Knights would promply retreat, as the battle would be going badly for them. Although, I believe Bats and crew can match Goliath and crew's speed and agility, they won't be able to do much in the way of actually pounding on them. As an added precaution, Bats would order tracking devices be put on each of the Gargoyles.
Come sunrise, the only players left would be Demona (in human form), Elisa, Xanatos, and baby Alexander w/ Puck. Elisa would be nothing more than fodder, that much is certain. Demona, Alexander and Puck, however are accomplished mages (Alex, not so much, but even at his age he learns quick) Those three alone, with Xanatos as backup are still a viable threat to The Bat crew.

*sigh*
Ok, one more bump before I let this topic die.

I don't think you're giving Elisa Maza enough credit. She's pretty bad-arsed if I recall correctly.
I haven't watched the show in ages, though. If I were to start one of the sad threads about hot cartoon chicks, she'd be at the top of the list.
You think the Gargoyles wouldn't notice tracking devices on them when they woke up? They WOULD wake up, since Batfolk don't kill.
I don't know who Alexander is, either. But when magic is involved, things could go bad for Batfolk. I'm sure there are invisibility spells and 'spells of making people who dress up like bats turn into monkeys' or whatever.

Oh, no doubt, Eliza is a badass. But, c'mon, compared to even the lower tier Bat people (Catwoman, Black Canary, Spoiler) she's not much. And, of course the Gargoyles would notice the tracking devices. The question is whether or not they could do anything about it after the fact.
It's a stall tactic, Bats and crew would have the entire day to plan on how to more effectively incapacitate the Gargoyles. And they would have more than enough time to possibly take out the more "normal" combatants.
As for Alex, he's David's son, He wasn't even a year old when Puck taught him how to master soul transmigration(or something like that) So, he might be the second biggest gun on my Gargoyles roster. Unfortunately, he's also the most unreliable of them(you know, being a baby an all.)
