To look at the losers (pirates)-point and mock them from a distance, in your ninja superiority!!!
No REAL reason, but I think everyone belonging to the Sandra's fuzzy pink.........hat clan really just want the chance to talk to a hot chick:p

basically a dork fraternity. if you are smart and like philosophical debates, join the mystic clan. if you like to have fun, and you are a cool guy, and everyone likes you, pledge the Pirate Clan. theres a Villain clan for those who want to break an conquer smaller groups. however, if you arent all that bright, and you eat paste, and you havent quite made it out of 2nd grade? join the ninja clan.
its groups of guys in a sub community that share common interests, its like your own little family inside the realms. as someone who is actually in a fraternity, i see the neccessity of Clans. Its just fun!

lesseeee.... Pirates have inspired numerous manga/anime (well... just one), Parks, Books, Rides, Movies, Musicals, Operas, Television shows. they ALWAYS get the girl, and a TON of booze on the side. do whatever they want, without the guilt. get to see the world....
ninjas..... eat paste.

I can't speak for all the Clans (because I'm not a member of all the clans), but the ones I joined, I did so because I was a fan of the comic book or TV show the Clan was about. It's just people with a common interest talking with other fans.

Pirates, on the other hand, were eventually wiped out by their own greed, lack of discipline and stupidity (being hunted by the Royal Navy doesn't help)
Now if there was a Viking clan! Vikings explored further than anyone before them. They travelled to the Middle East, to the New World, traded (mostly), raided (on occasion) and sought new horizons. They formed trade cities on their way (Like Novgorod and Moscow)

If there was ever a reason not to be a Ninja this is it. ;)
I avoided the clans months ago when they came out. Then someone reformed the JSA clan, and we started talking about the team, the comic, the trades, etc, and it was fun. It is the group within a group for getting to know other members better.

actually, there were some pirates who were sanctioned by the Royal Navy to cause nautical setbacks to the rivals of the British throne. Mebbe you should look up the word "Privateer" sometime...
As a matter of fact, i noticed that your flag is Canadian. I happen to know that Nova Scotia has a four day festival called "Privateer Days" every year in July.

And as someone who LIVED in Japan for two years, the ninja HAS had its impact on society, and they are quite PROUD of their history. If not on everyday life (as i havent been snap-kicked by a 80yo oba-san), pop-culture darn near worships the ninja AND the pirate. yet, i saw no mention of vikings....

i don't know why the pirates and ninjas always argue considering zombies are cooler than either of them. but please, no zombie clan.
