I think that Satan will wear a parka before Cartoon Network makes a JLA v. Avengers movie. The suits at Marvel and WB would be duking it out for years over that one, just like the comic....

As for a KC movie, it's possible. But highly unlikely I think.

I have friends who read comics on a regular basis who needed me to explain who half the people in KC were. It was a great comic don't get me wrong, but KC was also a very inside affair, a love letter to people who already knew all about DC mythology and was very, very inaccesible. They could never make a TV version of it without changing a LOT of it because the audience of people who would know who the characters were would be to small.

You couldn't be more off-base. I don't read much DC at all, don't know the characters very well, or their powers, histories, or affiliations, and Kingdom Come is one of my favorite stories, ever. It's fantastic because the story stands on it's own merits, and it's not important to know what came before. I still get the shivers when I read it.

Of course, I think that a Kingdom come cartoon would be travesty if handled by the Cartoon Network. I mean, I like Justice League and all, but the animation and artwork is at best average. I don't expect the same quality art as Alex Ross' from the comics, but I would hope that DC/Warner Bros. could pull off something better than a made-for-TV movie.

Then we could ask for a live-action movie? See what they did with the Matrix and X-Men and Spiderman and all those movies (Special F/X and all) and I am sure it would be awesome. I love the KC books....its one of my favorites.

kingdom come should never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER be an animated movie, let alone a made-for-cartoon-network movie. they would rerun that peice of carp into the ground. i would hope for a live action film that was as serious and epic as the comic. with cgi and special effects nowadays, it could be done quite beautifully. if enough time and effort is put into a comic book movie, it rocks. look at x2. thats why i love jeff smith so much, hes promised not to make a bone movie until he can devote all his time to it. speaking of which... anyone have any info on that? anyway, it would be awesome to see a kingdom come movie, and it could be done, but i hope they do it right.

Exactly Skervacious. KC is a beautiful book with great art and great story and should not be touched by Cartoon Network, let alone any form of TV or film. You just need to leave classics as they are.
